Kiki loves her pacifier, but when it is time to move on from it, will she be able to let go? This is a sweet story that will help children separate from their pacifier, binky, etc. and Kiki's adorable big eyes will make everyone reading say "awww." Just all around a wholesome story.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This is a story where a young guinea pig goes around asking various animals what they can do with their teeth because her mom wants her to get rid of her pacifier to preserve her teeth. The answers are pretty humorous while being almost realistically accurate. I could see this story being a decent way to encourage a human toddler to get rid of their pacifier too.

The illustrations are adorable. They have fun, bright backgrounds and cute little touches that humanize the animals and emphasize what they do with their teeth. And they're funny, think a beaver in a bikini.

Overall I give this book 4.2 out of 5 stars.

Thanks NetGalley for the preview!

This one fell a little flat for me. I enjoyed the pictures but the repetition and ending were not great.

Thank you NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for accepting my request to read and review Kiki's Pacifier.

This missed its mark with me. The two lines over and over, very quickly, were monotonous. I quickly lost interest and was frustrated as the story went on. The ending was a huge disappointment.

Kiki's mom wants her to stop using the pacifier. From that point Kiki asks all the other animals what they do with their teeth. My response is --- so. The ending, I can only shake my head.

The illustrations melted on the page, and I find that appropriate given the subject matter. The object is to have a visual aid that works with you, and doesn't distract, and they meet the need.

This was a good book for toddlers and parents when dealing with the question when is it time to give up the pacifier for good. And using baby animals was a cute touch.

A pleasant very early read, with a young guinea pig reluctant to give up its dummy (or pacifier, if you must). Going on a mission to see what the other mammals in its neighbourhood do with their teeth, it manages to find something to do with its mouth (steady on, this is a family-friendly review!) and that yes, perhaps mummy is right when it says the dummy has been outgrown. Winsome illustrations and no lack of cuteness in the text make this a charmer – although I would say it's a good thing this is supposed to be for sharing, as the intrusive breaks into cursive text will kill this off for anyone with a hint of dyslexia.

Kiki’s Pacifier is a very cute easy read. Littles can read it and understand. It also teaches a very cute lesson that is a common growing up issue. I even laughed reading it, so adults alike will also enjoy the read. My students will enjoy this when it comes out. I also found the illustrations to be very cute and funny making the book even more enjoyable. I recommend This read.

Little Kiki does not want to get rid of the beloved pacifier. But through life experiences and friends Kiki finds new uses for once beloved things.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC. I like how the author used animals throughout the story instead of people- alot of Pacifier books are with people using them since animals do not, so this was a cute spin on it. I also liked how the book explained that you need the take care of your teeth and it went into detail about what each animal can do with their teeth. The illustrations are cute and simple which makes it not overwhelming for young readers to look at.

This book is ideal for families, as well as kindergarten classrooms and younger. Many youngsters struggle to give up their pacifiers and occasionally as an educator, we see the repercussions of that within the school in the form of thumb sucking or sucking on other objects. Younger age educators may encounter students who still have their pacifier in a preschool or child care setting.

Kiki is curious about teeth, and this book follows her series of questions to learn about her own teeth and discover how her pacifier may effect them. A sweet story that can help families in a major transitional moment in a child's life, and make the process go smoother, this story also can be used to educate children about teeth.

Cute illustrations and text make this story both entertaining and educational, which can be a tricky balance to maintain in a children’s book, and I will be suggesting it to teachers whenever possible. Incorporating difficult to navigate topics such as this into children's picture books is a tried and true way to teach an important life skill in a way that is fun. This would be an amazing addition for classroom libraries, counselling offices and more.

Cute pictures, cute ending😊

The illustrations are lovely. I especially thought the little guinea pig showed generosity when she gives up her pacifier to bestow it on a young mouse who won't ruin his teeth because they have none yet.

Thanks to Clavis Publishing and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book.

I have a 3yo who still has a pacifier addiction. I read this book to her and she gave it up voluntarily before bedtime! It was like a miracle! It's a cute book and enjoyable read for toddlers, my daughter followed along well with it! Thanks to NetGalley for sharing this with me! This is an unbiased review.

This book reminded me of “Are you my mommy” book because Kiki asks multiple characters about their teeth. I enjoyed the art style and the funny things some of the animals used their teeth for.

This is such a cute story. Mom feels that Kiki’s too old for her pacifier. Kiki does not want to let it go. Kiki decides to investigate how other animal keep their teeth strong. This is such a sweet story. The illustrations are just adorable.

Kiki’s Pacifier is an adorable little read for your pacifier loving toddler. My youngest needs to ditch the paci soon so this book was perfect. The illustrations are darling and my daughter loved all of the woodland animals in the book.

The book starts out taking about Kiki and her mother in the third person but later switches to a dialogue style. While toddlers certainly won’t pick up on this, I would have preferred if the dialogue between Kiki and her mother started from the beginning. Overall this was a sweet read to share with my little girl.

This was adorable -- the story and the illustrations! The only thing that upset me, however, was that the lisp was mentioned right off and you totally could have continued on with the lisped word + the correct word, but the lisp was never mentioned again.

I'm an autistic person with speech impediments. I have an occasional stutter and mix up words or the sounds of words on occasion. I felt like this book was going be representative of speech differences, hence disappointment. If that is the only time Kiki has a lisp, why is it included at all? What significance does it serve beyond diction?

LOVE this book, so cute, but feels like I was disability baited.

I nanny a two-year-old who is currently weaning off of his pacifier. This book would be perfect for him! Kiki's Pacifier Is about a young guinea pig who has to give up her pacifier in order to keep her teeth healthy. Not only does this book showcase a healthy habit for children to develop but also teaches them about other animals' teeth which is so fun and cute. I've never seen a children's book about teeth and oral health before so I really like this!
