I really enjoyed the Hollywood setting and getting a behind-the-scenes look into the industry. For a rom com, it dragged/felt a little long to me and it was a little too angsty for my liking.

This is a fun lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers story. Lilah and Shane's characters were madly in love, and everything was great on the show they worked on until Lilah left in the hope of becoming a famous movie star. When things don't go as planned, Lilah agrees to return for one final season of the show. Though Lilah and Shane can't stand each other, they try to make it work for this final season. As they are forced to work together, they prove that the step from love to hate is much smaller than they thought. Aptly titled, this is a fun romance set on the production of a T.V. show.

Unfortunately I didn’t love this as much as I wanted to. While I do think the book was well written, I really just had a hard time connecting with the story and characters.

This was my first time reading a book by this author and I was not disappointed! Hollywood romance is one of my favorite tropes, but I typically read books with a famous MMC and a non-famous FMC and this is a story where the MMC and the FMC are in a tv series together, which I really enjoyed.

I thought the author did a great job handling the mental health representation and weaving the MCs past traumas into the story to explain who they are throughout the book. The characters seemed to be a bit immature for their age at times, but overall it did not bother me.

this book has me in the first 40% but lost me in the last 60%. the characters were not memorable, exciting or interesting enough. i felt the chemistry between them in the prologue but it just went downhill from there. the fmc wasn't just mean, she was invalidating. it made me so angry reading the way she spoke to him sometimes and the flashbacks annoyed me to no end. i liked the setting bcz this was the first hollywood romance ive ever read but that's honestly all it has going for it. sigh, big yikes

Ava Wilder does not disappoint with her second book, I really enjoyed this. It’s a slow burn, lovers to enemies to lovers, celebrity second chance with forced proximity, and it felt like the perfect companion to ‘How To Fake It In Hollywood’.

There is so much raw emotion in these pages, Lilah and Shane are heartbreakingly real and Ava’s writing keeps you so deeply captivated. The enemies/hate starting point is so well written, you can truly feel the animosity and pain between them and the shift then is also so natural; the words just flow brilliantly.

I thought the portrayal of Hollywood and all its’ pitfalls was once again really good, it is so easy to understand Lilah and Shane’s reservations, fears and anxieties, and why that seeps into their relationship too. There wasn’t one side of this that I was firmly on, I could completely understand where they were both coming from and Lilah’s anxiety was so well written. I love that she and this book were so open about her mental health, therapy and validating her feelings. Once Shane saw what was really happening, he was so supportive and such a rock for Lilah.

The tension is so good, I love a slow burn where the feelings gradually change and passion builds up again - this delivered on all fronts. They are so charismatic together and their chemistry is off the charts; the photoshoot scene omg! But they are also so raw and sweet together too; in the quiet moments their inherent chemistry comes through so naturally. It’s easy to understand why they fell so quickly for each other, even if it took a long journey to get back together. Second chance has never been my favourite but this one was so good and I was rooting for Lilah & Shane the whole time!

I loveeee an enemies to lovers story arc set in Hollywood. This was so entertaining to read and untangle the two main character's history with each other and watch as they overcame challenges to find their way back to each other.

Man, don't get me started on enemies to lovers. This was a perfect image of the infamous trope and I enjoyed it to no end. I love romance books and Wilder did an amazing job giving the poplar trope it's own life. I loved Shane and Lilah and the love they had. The title itself is enough to let you know that this is a great book. The way that Wilder writes banter is outstanding. Emily Henry who? Just kidding. It was a really fun read and I will be coming back to read more from this author!

This book was so so good! The tension was through the roof and I loved reading every moment. I really appreciated the anxiety representation in this book, it made me feel very seen.

I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did - Lilah and Shane’s story was multi-layered and I loved seeing the different perspectives through the years. It made me feel like I had the whole picture rather than just a snapshot of what was currently happening.

The ending felt rushed to me, which is the only reason this is a 4 stars for me. I’d highly recommend it!

Will They or Won't They By Ava Wilder is a standalone novel that explores the tumultuous relationship between two co-stars of a popular television series-Lilah Hunter and Shane McCarthy. When a romance goes awry years before and turns these lovers into enemies that must work together on a final season of their show -sparks will fly on the set. Readers will enjoy the banter and humor--as well as-the romance and connection between the two main characters. The character growth of Liliah and Shane on their journey back toward each other is well developed and perfectly paced. Will They or Won't They By Ava Wilder is a beautiful and angsty romance that shows readers what happens when love comes around a second time.

Will They or Won't They is a masterclass in the enemies-to-lovers trope. Oftentimes, I find that the enemies portion of enemies-to-lovers is actually one-sided. (She's annoyed with him, he's secretly in love with her.) But when Will They or Won't They begins, we see two characters who really hate each other. So much so that I actually questioned whether or not they would be able to be in a loving romance by the end of the book.

But I should have trusted Ava Wilder. She is killing the celebrity romance game and in this book, she is back and better than ever. The book is so full of tension and angst, with an incredible pay-off in the end. I loved the way Lilah and Shane found their way back to each other, first as friends, and then as something more. I give Will They or Won't They 5 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Will They or Won’t They by Ava Wilder was a perfect palate cleanser during a busy and stressful week. The main characters on again, off again relationship provides the backdrop for the main storyline. Lilac and Shane are in an on screen relationship during the show, The Intangibles. They struggle with reconciling their natural pull towards on another with their natural push away from one another. I enjoyed the setting of this book, the backdrop of behind the scenes television and production, and really enjoyed the characters. For me, though, I felt like the plot dragged a bit towards the last section. Thank you so much for the early, advance copy of the book, Net Galley.

This book didn't quite meet my expectations. Given the premise of another Hollywood romance, I anticipated a chemistry and dynamic akin to the genre's typical blend of heartwarming and humorous moments. However, this story leaned heavily into drama, which wasn't a problem in itself (after all, dramatics can add depth to a story), but the balance felt off. It seemed like too much of the narrative revolved around the characters disliking each other, without the satisfying mix of passionate enemies-to-lovers interactions that I expected. The lack of focus on their positive moments left me wanting more.

Towards the end, there was potential for a perfect resolution, but I remained uncertain whether the book would conclude with a happily ever after (HEA) due to the characters' past interactions. The side characters also didn't make a strong impact, with their roles feeling more like brief cameos than integral elements of the story.

The enemies-to-lovers theme fell short for me, and I didn't experience the emotional fluctuations that I typically enjoy in emotional romances.

This was another great rom com set in Hollywood by Ava Wilder. If you like a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers between two actors on a hit tv series then this is a book that you'll love. I can't wait to read this author's next one!

Another wonderful book by Wilder! The past of Lilah and Shane is carefully constructed giving them a tense and sexy present day. Very enjoyable

I’m always on this account talking about "enemies to lovers this" and "enemies to lovers that" and most of the time they are vaguely annoyed at one another for half a chapter. These characters give us the peak of what you can accomplish with enemies to lovers without being a fantasy book where the enemies are literally at war. They despise one another, and then they give us the most wonderful slow burn that lasts almost the entirety of the book until it turns steamy as hell. I'm obsessed.

Shane and Lilah were on a popular paranormal-type show back in the day, and Lilah left to pursue a career in movies. (Tale as old as time) We flit between "Then" and "Now" and discover why Lilah and Shane are so at odds while also discovering how it will go when Lilah returns to the show in the present day.

Ava Wilder does a great job of hooking us immediately and then keeping us there for the duration. I was invested in these characters. Even though they loathe one another, I love them both very dearly. I love a book surrounding celebrities and television/movies. It changes and heightens the stakes!

This book was written for you if:
1. You are a fan of books like The Reunion by Kayla Olson or Funny You Should Ask and Once More with Feeling by Elissa Sussman
2. You like enemies to lovers that is also kind of coworkers to friends with benefits to lovers to enemies to estranged castmates to enemies to (ok I'll stop)
3. You like a slow, slow burn that catches fire just at the right time :)

Obsessed! This is my first Ava Wilder and I am a huge fan! The plot and storyline is everything. I alternated between audiobook and ebook and the audiobook is immaculate. I’m not an audio listener usually but the narrators are perfect. Highly recommend Will They or Won’t They and the audiobook! 5 stars!

I think this one is going to be big. I think a lot of people on BookTok are going to be absolutely salivating over this one. I see the appeal, I really do, however it just wasn't for me. I wasn't really invested in the couple, they didn't seem to have a personality outside of being obsessed with the other person and I honestly don't see them as a couple that lasts.
