In "Sailor of Liberty" by J.D. Davies, readers are taken on a captivating journey through the turbulent times of revolutionary France in 1793. The plot is well-crafted, with twists and turns and the sea battles are just as thrilling. Overall, a thrilling adventure ans I will eagerly await the next installment of this promising new series. I would score it a 3.5 out of 5.

Philippe Kermorvant, son of an English aristocrat and a French nobleman, returns to his father's homeland, to take control of the family estate and fight for France against the English.
With letters of recommendation Philippe is looking to captain a ship, but in a country where being an aristocrat could mean an appointment with Madame Guillotine, Philippe has to work hard to gain the trust of the young republic.
An action packed adventure, set on the high seas, with mutiny and the horrors of a seafaring war.
There's some great characters and a couple of unexpected twists, with a surprising ending, so I guess I'll be reading the next book.
