this was a interesting concept for a historical novel, it does what I was looking for from the description. There were points were I was on the edge of my seat. The characters worked really well in the time-period and it was what I was expecting. I enjoyed what Rhoda Lerman wrote and am glad I got to read this.

"Luba stood, circles of red fury painted on her quivering cheeks, weeping as the vizsla suckled viciously. “It has teeth!” she cried out. I didn’t know how to help her. My father was a whirlwind. Everything happened too fast. Everything was an order. And everything was threatening."
