This book is a total mix of the movie The Wedding Planner and your favorite co-worker romance.

I loved this book! Ama and Elliot’s relationship is such a fun read in every stage. It was a refreshing change of pace to find the FMC to be the one with commitment issues. And honestly, yeah.. she hasn’t had the best example. Elliot is the surly, grumpy, flower guy we all need in our lives.

The spice was spicin, no complaints there!

WHERE HAS THIS BOOK BEEN MY ENTIRE LIFE? 🥹

I can’t even describe how much I loved this book and it was so worth every single second. It’s the perfect sweet romcom and I can't believe it's already over. Elliot was exactly what I needed in a grumpy MMC and their banter was *chefs kiss*

I struggled to get into the story at the beginning. The main characters didn't spend much time together. Elliott's backwards narration seemed so drawn out at first. I found Elliott rude, reserved, and grumpy. In the second half of the book the pacing picked up, the sparks started flying, and the emotions were all over the place.

An ambitious wedding planner must work with her grumpy florist ex, whose heart she broke, on the most high-profile wedding of her career, what could go wrong?

What a great book! As someone currently planning a wedding I was simultaneously triggered by the stress of it all, and fascinated with a fictional behind the scenes presented by Ama and Elliot. I love a second chance romance and this was such a unique twist. I loved they dynamic between Ama and Elliot. You could feel the angst and pining and you just wanted to yell at them to fix it and get together again!!!

I also loved all the small details including Elliot's flower tattoos and Ama's struggle with her beloved car. Ultimately this was a spicy and emotional read that reminded me why I love second chance romances and broody, tall men who pine for years for their girl.

Loved this book so much I used it to ask my bridesmaids to be in my bridal party!

I finished this in one sitting and with ease. A perfectly sweet, fun little novel. This is one of those romance books that is good for the soul because it’s full of heart. I love a good enemies to lovers and though I’m not big on second chance romances, I enjoyed this one!

Thank you so much to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!

This was a second-chance and enemies-to-lovers all in one. Ama and Elliot are a sweet relationship to root for, and the dual POV really helped lay the scene. The dual timeline allows the reader to experience the first time they gave being together a shot, rather than just hearing about it from the present perspective.
.
I just finished a production of The Music Man, so I figured out Ama’s full name before the reveal and could take a guess how it would play into the plot further on, but I still sighed so deeply when the twist was revealed. I don’t know anything about flowers, but I understand the event planning world thoroughly. I really loved how cute this book was, and I’m definitely sad that Soto doesn’t have any other books out for me to read yet. Perhaps I should check out her fanfics in the meantime.

Julie Soto's 'Forget Me Not' is a touching and beautifully crafted story that resonates with a heartfelt narrative. The characters are compelling, and Soto skillfully navigates the emotional landscape, adding a welcome touch of spiciness to the storytelling. A solid 4-star read that blends heart and flavor.

Now, this is how you do second-chance romance. I loved so much about this story and had a blast reading it.

The story has a unique narrative structure that worked for me. I know it won't be for everyone, but I found it creative. The present-day timeline is told through our female main character's POV, while the flashbacks are via the male main character's POV.

I also loved the writing and tone of the book.

I love the characters in this book. I loved Ama and damn near everything she said. She made me laugh constantly. I loved Elliot. It is obvious how much he loves Ama. Then there were the side characters. They brought so much to the story - fully realized, not just plot devices or mouthpieces. They were a joy to read.

Then there was The Wedding, a character all on its own. Soto was smart to set this in the world of wedding planning. There is so much chaos and drama with weddings and wedding planning that she doesn't need to create unnecessary tension and conflict. It all seemed natural.

I think so many people will love this. It is the perfect rom-com. Seriously, someone make this movie.

I don't know what Julie Soto put in this book, but it must've had a sprinkle of magic! I did not want to put it down -- the sexual tension and chemistry between the hero and heroine was through the roof. Can't wait for this author's next book.

#latergram because I read this book months ago and enjoyed it so much, I bought it for a friend but… am just now reviewing it.

Forget Me Not is a second chance romance featuring Ama, the wedding planner who creates magical days for her clients but doesn’t believe in marriage, and Elliot, the grumpy and amazingly talented florist who hates owning a floral shop.

They met on the wedding circuit years ago which led to a romance that ultimately ended with Ama breaking Elliot’s heart. They haven’t spoken in years when work on a huge wedding throws them back together. The pain from the past is still there, but so is their undeniable chemistry and when their business is love, can they really hide from it?

This book was so fun and warm hearted. I loved being thrown into the world of planning weddings and Soto’s descriptive writing helped me visualize every scene. The dual timeline POV kept me hooked as I read to find out what happened to break them up as well as how they will get back together. Definitely a binge worthy romance to give you the feel goods 💕

Absolutely loved this book! I feel like I can’t find the words to say how good it was. I’m usually not a fan of being of books that jump between past and present. But this one was written so well and intertwined the past and present like two threads of the same needle. Unlike the description this book was less spicy and a lot more angsty. The way Julie wove the flowers between the story was a piece of art itself. And I can say with utter confidence that I recommend this book to any and everyone.

Ama loves her job as a wedding planner, and she is given an opportunity to plan the weeding of a celebrity, but that it comes with the catch that she has to work with her ex, Elliot who is hired as the florist. A quick read about second chance of love.

I recently had the opportunity to read Forget Me Not by Julie Soto as a very special buddy read with @readforeverpub on the book club app Fable. I confess I had originally skimmed past this book when I first saw it on Netgalley based on the cover. I am so glad I gave it a second look, because YA'LL I loved this romance!!

If you are a fan of the rom-com classic The Wedding Planner with JLo, you will absolutely love this book too. I loved that Forget Me Not was dual pov's and dual timelines. I love when a second chance romance really delves into the backstory. It makes the second chance more believeable to me. And I was totally sold on Elliot, the gruff florist with a soft interior. Read this one if you love:

💜 m/f contemporary romance
💜 second chance romance
💜 work place romance
💜 gruff tattooed florists
💜 dual timelines
💜 strong career oriented heroine

A wedding planner and her grumpy ex must work together to plan a celebrity event in this deliciously spicy and funny novel from fanfic sensation Julie Soto.

Ama Torres is an optimistic wedding planner who doesn’t believe in marriage. But weddings? They’re amazing. Elliot Bloom is a brooding florist who hates owning a flower shop…until a certain bright-eyed, donut-loving workaholic shows up at his door.

Once upon a time, they collaborated on events by day, and by night, Ama traced the intricate flower tattoos etched along his body. Then Ama shattered his heart and never spoke to Elliot again.

Now they’re working on an event that could make or break both of their careers—except neither of them has gotten over what happened two years ago. Things are not helped by the two brides, who see the obvious chemistry between Ama and Elliot and are determined to set them up, not knowing their complicated history. But as the wedding takes on a life of its own, Ama and Elliot are about to discover that some things can survive a complete catastrophe . . .

Smart and hilarious, Forget Me Not is about two people giving themselves—and love!—a second chance.

This delightful second chance romance exceeded my expectations when it came to delivering a light and sweet story.

Ama, the talented wedding planner, is a delightful bundle of sweetness (particularly due to her obsession with donuts), hard work, and humor. She radiates sunshine wherever she goes, even in places where her presence might not be initially welcomed. The only hiccup in her otherwise sunny disposition is her undeniable commitment issues, which, I'll admit, occasionally grated on my nerves. However, overall, I couldn't help but adore her.

Elliot, the florist, is the polar opposite of sweet when it comes to his interactions with almost everyone, except for one special person who holds the key to his softer side. He wears a grumpy exterior but conceals a heart of gold underneath. Brooding and adorned with tattoos, Elliot falls in love first and fast, which was an unexpected twist, considering his aversion to commitment. He's absolutely endearing, and I couldn't help wishing for more glimpses into his perspective.

The story is presented from dual points of view, with alternating timelines between the past shared by Ama and Elliot and their present-day circumstances. After two years have passed since their breakup, the lingering history between them resurfaces when Ama is hired to plan a significant wedding, and, to her surprise, Elliot is the chosen florist. You can only imagine the awkwardness that ensues as they are forced to work side by side. Despite their contrasting personalities, they manage to blend their talents seamlessly. When they weren't at odds with each other, I relished the moments when they worked their magic together, supporting each other in pursuit of their dreams.

Here's a fun tidbit: Ama is named after a flower, but when she and Elliot part ways, he no longer carries that flower. The emotional weight of this detail is palpable!!

I ADORED this book so much!! I am obsessed. This was probably one of my fave reads this year. I am so in love with Ama and Elliott and need a second book of them like yesterday.

I loved how this book was told with dual POV and time lines. It really rounded out the story.
