The author's Dad wrote Experiencing God decades ago & it has been a wonderful resource. He also wrote the forward for this book, which was enjoyable to read.

The book is very solid Biblically with wonderful information about who God is, why we should learn more about Him, etc.

I appreciate that Bible verses are referenced & written out so you don't have to go look them up (not that that is a bad thing, but this is convenient.)

I was able to preview this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

In this almost follow up to Experiencing God, Richard Blackaby delves into the ways of God. This book too was a start by His father, Henry. 15 chapters on the ways that God is not like us, that He does not process like us, that He does not love like us but also in how His ways are interconnected from pre Christ to post Christ.
If the goal of the first book was to open our eyes and hearts to how we can and do experience God, the this book way the eye and heart opener to having proper perspective of God and therefore ourselves and how we relate and walk out our relationship with God which is always to point beyond ourselves and back to Him and the cross.

The forward alone is worth buying the book and that’s before you even get into the rest of it.

A challenging book for those wanting to get to know God better. Parts of it are a tad bit "old-fashioned" sounding, which isn't all a bad thing. A lot of Scripture references, which I like.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance e-copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
