What a fabulous story to end this series with, I could barely put this one down, I loved it so much I have been looking forward to Jane’s story although I am sorry to see the end of this series it has been fabulous.

We have met Jane in the previous two books in this series and I love her courage as she does what she can for woman after being jilted and badly hurt in an accident, Jane is left with a scar that people will always notice, but now with genuine worry over what her mother has done Jane needs to find a way to save her grandfather’s antiquarian bookstore, Delaney’s. What she needs is money and as fast as she can when opportunity strikes Jane finds herself in the library of the scandalous Duke of Roxby and what transpires from here will change her life.

Christopher Marsden, Duke of Roxby is causing major scandals amongst the ton, but when he discovers a beautiful woman in the early hours of the morning in his library an idea flits into his mind and soon he is offering Jane Delaney the opportunity to be his wife, there are reasons for this and one is that someone is trying to kill him and he needs help, it is an offer too good for Jane to refuse.

The instant they meet there is a fiery spark between them and both of them are in dire need of help, will they be able to help each other? The marriage of convenience has stipulations but after their wedding night will they ever be able to not need each other? They sizzle together and soon they are opening up to each and walls are breaking down.

I loved this one from start to finish, it is filled with lots of happenings as danger looms and love grows it is sensual and sizzling and a must read, Christopher is the perfect match for Jane, I loved the support he gives her for all that she is planning and how Jane is so caring and loving and of course catching up with Artemis and Lucy and their partners was so good what a team they make and the epilogue was perfect.

I have never been disappointed by one of Amy Rose Bennett’s story and this one I highly recommend.

My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my copy to read and review.

Jane is a total Barbie. He's just a Ken.

Jane Delaney is a total Barbie, smart, daring, not a virgin (thank god) and is trying to solve her mother's gambling problem that jeopardizes her grandfather's bookshop and her own blackmail. Jane crashes an orgy held by Christopher Marsden, the new Duke of Roxby and implusively attempts to steal a priceless book. He's a rakehell, a scandalous thrower of orgies and used to love tupping widows and prostitutes. He's plagued after an attempt on his life with the memory of a goldfish (Ted Lasso) or Dory (Finding Nemo). The only face he can recognize and remember after his "accident" is Jane's. Jane has a distinctive scar on her fface that was caused by her ex-fiancé, who promptly jilted her. What a great premise. I didn't like Christopher very much in the beginning, he was a total Ken. Throughout the book, he does have multiple Ken moments, where his masculinity is hurt and he can't deal and also when he did some thing questionable with his own ex-fianceé. But, it is a fine author that can make me like a man like that, in which, Amy Rose Bennett was very successful.

Both Jane and Christopher have had ex's that left them wary of love, so they agree to a marriage of convenience to find out who is trying to kill Christopher and for Jane to have the funds to deal with her mother's gambling debt and her own blackmail (she wrote a pamphlet that helps women prevent pregnancy and STI's and enjoy sex). This book is extremely sex positive and Jane is refreshingly honest in her desire and attraction to Christopher and vice versa. I approve that Jane wasn't a virgin, as Christopher absolutely was not a virgin, countless times over. They talk openly and frankly about their lust for each other and the hope for a child.

Yes, I could figure out who the villian was at first introduction, but the real story is the evolving relationship between Jane and Christopher and how they communicate with each other (or don't).
Overall, I read this book in two sittings and thought Jane was one of the best female leads in a long time.
Highly recommend (yes, even if they met while he was throwing an orgy). 5 Stars.
Purchased.

This is a fun, entertaining, captivating story. I enjoyed both the romance and the mystery subplots. Christopher and Jane are interesting, captivating, entertaining, relatable characters. They captured my attention from the start and held it until the very end. I loved getting to know Jane after having her be apart of the previous two books in the series. Christopher has so many dimensions that it was fun getting to see them as the story unfolded. I loved that we got to see so much of Artimis and Lucy (the previous hereoines). The secondary characters were interesting and many added so much to the fabric of the story. I loved the epilogue and that we got to see all the couples in their HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A fun series of 3 best friends finding their HEA. It’s Jane’s turn and she never thought to find love and happiness as her friends have. She was once engaged but when she and her fiancé were in a dog cart accident that left a scar on Jane’s face he broke it off. Learning to live with her scar wasn’t easy but she has her friends, family and beloved grandfather. Her mother is a trial at times and has outstanding gambling debts. She decides to sell her half of her father in law’s bookstore, where Jane works and she loves the place. On top of that Jane is being blackmailed and now is in desperate need of money to save the bookstore and payoff the blackmailer.
As luck would have it after a masquerade ball Jane happens upon the Duke of Roxby party. His parties are known for being wild and she just maybe able to write a story for the Tattler of the going ons. But another temptation presents itself, that could be the answer to her prayers.

I've got to say I loved this series and this book was no exception, The story is great with a bit of mystery, blackmail and an unusual affliction. The story moved along at a good pace and held my interest even though some of it was a touch predictable. It was a shame if it is the last book as I would enjoy more although the epilogue did wrap up the friends story's nicely perhaps an off shoot? the detective maybe? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Mystery, Whist, Unusual Affliction.
My first time reading any of this authors stories. I am so glad I did.
The story is delightful, mysterious, fun, filled with compassion, frustration, with a better than ever happy ending.
I enjoyed Jane and her honestly and strong personality and Christopher was a darling man with lots of interesting struggles to overcome.
The story moved along at a good pace even though it is quite a long story.
The attraction between the two characters felt like there were many bombs going off. There intimate times was sweet and more than just spicy with just right heat level for my enjoyment.
I thought the book was well written and would be thrilled to read more from this author.

Tall, Duke and Scandalous had a very intriguing result from a hilarious meet cute. The fact that Christopher Marsden, the Duke of Roxby would trust Jane enough to propose to her the day after catching her attempting to steal is book was a bit head scratching. But is definitely one of the reasons why I love romance. It is where almost anything can happen.

Christopher's facial blindness was such an important part of the story and I loved the disability representation it provided. How it could be something that truly bonded Christopher and Jane. I felt it provided a vulnerability to the MMC which I really appreciate seeing and feel needs to be showcased more in romance. It reminded me of a Grace Burrowes MMC from her Captive Hearts series.

I truly enjoyed the mystery/danger elements surrounding both Jane and Christopher and although Christopher's was a bit more solvable, or I guess I had suspected who the culprit might be, I found Jane's blackmailer's identity to be rather refreshing.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this novel and found it wrapped up the Byronic Book Club series perfectly. And I will go so far as to say it is my favourite of the three. I loved the coming together of the couples and the friendship that Christopher creates with the previous MMCs. AND the steam was deliciously well done from the chaise after Christopher's bout of boxing to the morning after their wedding night.

No-nonsense Jane Delaney divides her time between her grandfather's beloved bookstore and writing newspaper columns, determined to overcome a past that's left her with scars on her face and in her heart. But when the store ends up in unexpected financial jeopardy and Jane's secrets are threatened by a mysterious blackmailer, she finds herself in desperate need of money. All seems lost until a temptation like no other presents itself. Christopher Marsden is the new Duke of Roxby and someone wants him dead. The problem is, he has no idea who or why. Following a vicious attack, he's acquired a rare affliction where he can no longer recognize faces. But when he catches Miss Delaney attempting to steal a priceless book from his library, Christopher can tell her apart from the rest. Her scarred beauty stands out like a beacon, and he doesn't want to let her go. So he offers her an outrageous proposal: the money she needs in exchange for a marriage of convenience and her help in catching his would-be killer.
The third book in this lovely series & once again an author has left the best till last. I loved both Jane & Christopher & was routing for them from the first meeting in his library to the lovely epilogue. Two scarred characters who had lots to overcome, I thoroughly enjoyed how they came to trust each other & how they fell in love. Their journey to a HEA wasn’t smooth but it made for a very good read & I devoured it on a rainy day
My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Oh how I loved seeing the final Byronic babe get her man! Jane and Christopher, the Duke of Roxby make the perfect team in this unputdownable series finale.

Jane Delaney has become used to no one noticing her. After her fiancé jilted her after getting her into a disfiguring dog card accident, Jane has given up hope she'll ever get the family she so desperately wants. Now her mom has fallen into gambling debt and is threatening to sell her grandfather's beloved bookshop to make ends meet AND Jane has fallen victim to a blackmailer who wants to expose her draft of a women's sexual health pamphlet. So, she's pretty desperate the night she sneaks into one the Duke of Marsden's notoriously debauched parties and attempts to steal a first edition from his library.

Christopher Marsden, the Duke of Roxby has survived war and now three attempts on his life since he inherited the title. What he might not survive are the deeply buried feelings the luscious brunette in his library is stirring in his heart. Suffering from face-blindness since the first attempt on his life, Christopher is stunned to realize her face alone is recognizable to him. Is it her scarred cheek or something more fated? Whatever it is, he just knows he needs her in his life.

This is a marriage of convenience story with several super steamy open-door love scenes and a stellar plot - two mysteries to solve! All your favorite heroes and heroines from the "Byronic Book Club" series are back for this grand finale and there's a satisfying epilogue set four years in the future. It's everything you could want from a steamy historical romance. In fact, this entire series is a credit to the genre.

This story starts off with a meet cute and continues with its loveliness. This is only the second story I have read with the facial recognition affliction and I cannot imagine how that is for people. It made Christopher endearing and I have to say that he is one of my favorite heroes. I wanted to give him a hug every time he came into the picture. Trust is such a very important thing in a relationship and unfortunately Jane, even though I understood, betrayed that trust. Don’t think poorly of her because she did have a good reason. I wish she had the courage to talk about it sooner. Of course, therein lied the drama needed in stories. There was no denying the attraction and Christopher and Jane’s attraction is off the charts sexy. Amy’s writing is so smooth and makes for effortless reading. This is a beautiful story with great characters. If you want a feel-good story that will make you smile and fall in love with the characters, run and get this book. I loved it.

When Jane Delaney's grandfather's bookshop is in danger of being sold because of her mother's gambling debts, she sees an opportunity to take a valuable book from the library of the Duke of Roxby. He catches her in the act and has an unusual proposition for her.
Someone is trying to kill him, and he can't remember faces. She has a secret that she doesn't want anyone to know.
I loved the interaction between Jane and Christopher as they get to know and trust one another.
This is a very interesting and entertaining read. It is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone.

The final book in the Byronic Book Club series and it did not disappoint! However I’m sad it’s over! I love that this one started with a marriage of convenience right from the start and then we followed along in their journey of falling in love! Jane and Christopher have so much chemistry and the 🌶️🌶️ had me melting! The mystery of solving who was trying to kill Christopher was a fun addition to this story!! Def read for my historical romance book besties!

4 1/2*STARS*
The new Duke of Roxby, Christopher Marsden, suspects someone is out to kill him. He has his list of suspects, but because of his affliction he needs someone he can trust to help him. Meeting Miss Jane Delaney, he knows she is the one. His unexpected proposal is a total surprise, but she has her own reasons for the marriage. One is blackmail. It may be a marriage of convenience, but not for long. A very slow, very passionate erotic romance with a killer on the loose. Be prepared for a few tears.

This was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of it. It was really cute that both of them were scared to say that they love each other. They really are perfect for one another.

The latest installment in the Byronic Book Club series is here!
I enjoyed this so much, just like the other books in this series. We finally get to see Jane get her happy ending.

Jane is the granddaughter of the owner of Delaney’s bookshop, which is also where the bookclub meetings between Artemis, Lucy and herself have been held. Unfortunately the bookshop is in danger of being sold and on top of that Jane is being blackmailed.
This means she needs money, desperately. She stumbles upon the house of the Duke of Roxby where another debauchery party is being held and she hopes to find some gossip that she’s able to sell to a newspaper to earn some cash. There she finds something even better, a rare copy of the Canterbury Tales. When deciding to steal the book (the Duke will never notice it right?) she gets caught redhanded. And this might’ve been my favorite meetcute ever.
The interaction between Jane and Christopher (said duke of Roxby) is *chef’s kiss*. The banter, Jane’s witty responses to Christopher’s questions. This sucked me right into the book.

Also, I like a good marriage of convenience story and especially with the ‘I will never be able to be in love with you’ added in the mix. In lust with each other though? They want to tear each other’s clothes off at any time of day and I am here for it! The spice in this one is topnotch and WHEW that opera scene! Also I love good carriage bang scene.

There are a lot of high stakes going on here. Too much to sum them all up. I love how Bennett wrote about a mmc with facial recognition blindness. He is relying on Jane to navigate the world and to find out who exactly is out there to kill him and why.
Let’s talk a bit about Christopher, because I just adore his swoonworthyness. Is that a word? Now it is. He is totally trusting of Jane even though he has been jilted before and although he is sensing that she has her own secrets, he trusts her to tell him about it. (Unfortunately this is where it went a bit south for me)

The end was a bit meh, but I knew it wasn’t gonna be some dramatic ending because this series had been such a low angst ride. This was the most angsty one of the three.

Jane had multiple times to come clean, and while I understand her, these things make me want to pull my hair out with frustration. I liked it a lot when she finally opened up to Artemis and Lucy to get their help. It’s a major issue for her because she is always the one to fix everything for other people. It took guts, especially considering everything Jane went through.

This book also solidified again that I adore reading books set in the Victorian age. Where the Industrial Revolution is well on its way and there are trains as a means of transport.

I loved the epilogue, it was a great ending for a great series. I expected that Chris and Jane would take Oliver in and this creates a LOT of potential for a possible new series with interconnected characters. If that is the case: I want it, thank you.

Once upon a time, Jane was in love and engaged to be married, but just a few hours after agreeing to wed, tragedy strikes in the form of an accident that leaves Jane’s face scarred and her heart broken when her feckless fiance breaks off the engagement. Now years later, after her dearest friends from the Byronic Book Club have married and left London, Miss Jane Delaney accepts that spinsterhood is her future, but that all changes when she makes an impulsive decision to sneak into a party being held by Christopher Marsden, the new Duke of Roxby. Once inside, Jane makes her way to the library and finds a priceless book, she is in desperate need of money to save her grandfather’s bookshop and to save herself from a blackmailer, so she decides to take the book, knowing it is wrong, but does it anyway. While hiding the book on her person, she is confronted by the Duke and shockingly he doesn’t call for the watch, instead, he asks her to return the next day.

Christopher has problems himself, someone is trying to kill him and after an attack several months ago he is suffering from prosopagnosia (facial blindness) which is hampering his ability to identify his attacker. But for some strange reason, he is able to recognize Jane and offers to help her out of her financial woes if she will help him find his would-be assassin. He believes the easiest way to achieve this and not ruin her would be marriage. He tells her that it will be a marriage of convenience, but he will need an heir. So they agree, theirs will not be a love match and once his attacker is captured and she gives him an heir, they can go their separate ways. Sounds easy enough, find a killer, thwart a blackmailer, have a baby, and don’t fall in love, what could go wrong?

I loved this book, it is well-written, nicely paced, and wraps up the series perfectly. I loved the interactions between Jane and Christopher, they have both been hurt before and are afraid to risk their hearts, but it is clear that these two were “meant to be”. I was intrigued by Christopher’s condition, I have never read a book where a character suffers from that particular affliction, I adored Jane and her need to fix everything, I loved that these two actually talked about their troubles and that they both had insecurities and while they both made mistakes, they made a sincere effort to be honest about their feelings and didn’t let things fester. The book has multiple villains, secrets, steamy love scenes, great chemistry, wonderful secondary characters, some interesting twists, and finally a very sweet ending complete with an epilogue featuring all the previous characters living their HEAS. This is the third and final book in the series, and it could be read as a standalone title, but I would recommend reading the series in order for the best reader experience!

The Byronic Book Club series has been such a fun ride. The heroines are intelligent, fierce, and feminist. They’re a shining example of supportive, strong female friendship, even in the face of adversity, which I love. I’m a little sad to see this series end, but also excited to see what Amy Rose Bennett has in store next.

Jane and Christopher are a good match. Neither is looking for love, but a marriage of convenience is in both their interest, so we start off with an A+ trope there. They both have secrets that threaten to unravel their blossoming romance, and they bring dueling mysteries to their marriage – who is trying to kill Christopher and who is blackmailing Jane? They have sparks and physical chemistry from the jump, but it’s fun to see their emotional connection grow to match that. On top of all that, Christopher is suffering from face blindness, and the only face he can see clearly is Jane’s. This book is drama in all the most fun ways.

My only quibble is that I thought the reveal of who was trying to murder Christopher was a lot stronger and more interesting than who was blackmailing Jane. It’s hard, I think, to have two mysteries each carry their own weight in a novel. One is always going to be more intriguing. But overall, I really enjoyed both plotlines, the payoff, and the romance in this book.

A Wonderful Romantic Read!

I loved the way the storyline catches you straight away with Jane’s antics and how the Duke came upon her. You could feel the suppressed passion from their first meeting.

They both had secrets they tried to hide but Christopher needed her help due to an injury and proposed a marriage of convenience which would help them both.

This is one hot steamy read, the emotions and passion sizzle on the pages, wonderful characters old and new with trust issues and an assassin they needed to find.

A hero and heroine perfect for each other sit down and enjoy this emotional steamy read as it takes you on a wonderful journey to find their very own HEA.

Thanks #NetGalley for the advanced copy of #TallDukeandScandalous by Amy Rose Bennett in exchange for an honest review.

This was a steamy end to this series. I really need to see what else Ms. Bennett has written because I really liked this series. I absolutely loved the way these 2 MCs met in this book. It was creative and so funny. I don't often picture what I'm reading but this scene was vivid in my mind. My only complaint was that Jane held on to her pride and didn't confess something that she really should have. Ms. Bennett really knows how to write a hero that I love to read about. Every hero in this series was genuinely good but still had a rakish air about them and it made for really good books. I also felt like the representation of face blindness was very well done (note: I don't know much about this condition so it might not be the most accurate, then again, it could be very accurate. I looked up a couple of things as I read and those things checked out so I'm leaning towards the representation being well done). I highly recommend this series of books!

Yet another installment of the Byronic Book Club series!

Everything about this series sparkles. Amy Rose Bennett is breathing fresh life into the historical romance genre with every book in this series. I adored Jane & Christopher's story, and I was so happy with how the plot unspooled. Christopher's face-blindness gave insight into a rare disability, and Jane's story was similarly vulnerable.

In this book you will find:
- marriage of convenience
- debaucherous duke (who isn't so debaucherous)
- kissing (just to see!)
- "I need you"
- blackmail
- intrigue
- bookshelf bangs (heyo)
