Loved this book!!! I think this concept is so important and since longevity is such a hot button issue right now I think this book will do well. It reads like a text book so I think it would be better as a physical book for people and not an ereader book.

I thought this was a great book, very interesting and thorough. Definitely not the type of book I’ve come across before.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This is a must-have resource! I learned so much and an excited to apply this to my yoga teaching. This is one I'll return to again and again. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

Such a different book about yoga and meditation. It is an eyeopening read about how holistic both yoga and mediation are. I mean, I knew that from before, but not from the perspective of neuroscience. I especially enjoyed reading about how yoga can help with for example MS, and the different asanas that are good for different problems. This is not a heavy read, but also not a book that you can just flip through. if you really want to understand the content you have to absorb the information, and chew on it a bit. I am happy I read the book, and it did give me new aspects to think about.

The inside track on the benefits if yoga and meditation

If you enjoy yoga and meditation then this book provides a detailed look at the effect they have on our brains and how they benefit us. It’s not an easy read, there’s a lot of detailed neuroscience in here, but if you’re interested in the brain there are some interesting ‘aha’ moments.

I gave the book 4 stars as it may be more useful to yoga and meditation teachers than to students. The detail could help practitioners to explain the benefits and give them the means to further adapt their teaching to help students with particular health issues.

I was given this book from the author via netgalley only for the pleasure of reading and leaving an honest review should I choose to.
