This book was so fun, we follow Nurse Claire and Firefighter Graham who make a roommate pact - a friends-with-benefits arrangement as long as they’re single. However, Graham gets injured at work and Claire becomes his caregiver… and that’s where the chemistry comes into play.

I absolutely loved this book, I thought the audiobook was fantastic. I loved both of the characters, their chemistry was so strong throughout the book. I also loved Graham’s grumpy dog in this!

The forced proximity is super strong in this book with Claire watching over Graham. I loved the witty banter between the two and I’m so glad we got Dual POV. I have yet to read the previous book in this series, but this could be read as a standalone.

This was such a fun romcom, I flew through it with how intrigued I was with their chemistry. The banter was absolutely top-notch in this book, I also loved the whole roommates to lovers trope. I would absolutely recommend this one!

Thank you so much NetGalley and Mira Books for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

Claire is a nurse and her roommate Graham is a firefighter they make a pact - they will become friends with benefits as long as they are both single. Claire is looking for love and Graham is not the relationship type which maybe an issue. But when Graham suffers an injury at work and Claire takes on the role of his caregiver take care of him during his recovery along with his small rescue dog Dorothy. As she nurses him they are sleeping on the same bed, watching TV together , doing all kinds of cute stuff together while he heals. I loved this part everything was just starting natural. To help work through his feelings Claire offers the idea for him to journal his feelings, He decides to send his journaling emails to Claire's unused email address , he knows she'll never read them because she cant remember the password. This is where he tells her everything and you slowly see him opening up his heart to her, to maybe even romance. But are they both willing to see what’s right in front of them.

The Roommate Pact has one of my favorite tropes - emails and letters. A good letter in a romance book will always get me and this one made my heart swoon. What's better than emails except writing them to the void, confessing our feelings, wondering if someone will ever read them. There's just something so romantic about it in and of itself. All the things we expose when we write a letter - swoons. But even more so, the chemistry between Claire and Graham is electric.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! I’ve been waiting for this book because I loved Graham and Claire in Would You Rather. And Allison did not disappoint! The banter in this book was top tier 🤌🏼 highly recommend if you want a quick and swoon worthy book with low spice (and coming from someone who likes a lot of spice, this book is worth the lack of 👏🏼)

Who doesn't love a good marriage/romance/pregnancy pact? This story focuses on two friends that make a pact together to become friends with benefits if all else fails. The slow burn of falling in love with these characters' love was truly amazing. This was a great summer, beach read that I devoured in a moment. Perfect for fans of Christina Lauren, Falon Ballard, and Emily Henry,

I loved this book. The banter between the two main characters. I love that she got his mean dog to actually love her. I loved how they interacted and how they made that agreement. In the end it was the most perfect story. Thank you to netgalley, the publisher, and the author for allowing me to read this book in exchange for a review from my opinion.

The porch wing squeaked as she rocked back and forth and took in the warm breeze. This spot was a comfort after a long, busy day. The ER was always chaotic and it was nice to sit here and settle her brain. The only thing that could make this spot perfect is if a certain someone could come out here and join her.

The Roommate Pact is a dual POV romance following roommates, Claire and Graham. Claire is an ER nurse and Graham is a firefighter and adrenaline junkie. Both in their 30s they make a pact to get married if they’re still single at 40.

This romance had more depth than I expected and I really loved that. Exploring what it takes to work through trauma and how to allow yourself to let down your walls and be vulnerable. What it’s like to have those special people in your life that you can just be you around. It was a swoon-worthy romance with a friends with benefits turned lovers connection.

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers romance with some heart-warming depth… I recommend checking this one out!

I loved this one. Graham was the best and I'm glad Claire figured it out in the end LOL. Loved the Colorado references and I enjoyed the audio! I will read more from Allison Ashley for sure!

This was a little too farfetched for me overall, but the bookstagram hype got me and while I did enjoy the writing and ultimately the characters too I think I am on the opposite side from all the fanfare I have seen thus far.

If Claire and Graham are single by the time they're 40, they'll become friends with benefits (a bit of a spin on marry by the time they're 40). Graham is a thrill seeker and due to Claire's past, she has vowed to never get involved with someone who is so reckless with their own life. But the heart wants what the heart wants and this friendship continue to evolve into something more.

I haven’t read a really enjoyable fiends with benefits book in a very long time and I feel like this one just reignited that little flame in my heart and it was done so well. I am so looking forward to sharing this with everyone I know and I can’t wait to head into stores to pick it up myself on release day.

It is a true treasure when you find an author that writes the type of books that always makes your heart happy.

Allison Ashley has become that kind of author for me.

The Roommate Pact is a hilarious and tender-hearted rom com about two people who are just right for one another. I fell in love with their chemistry from the start and loved witnessing their relationship develop over the course of the story. The writing is easy breezy, but incredibly done. This is the type of book you put down when you're done and smile for days.

I highly recommend this book as well as her debut.

Thank you Mira and Netgalley for my copy.

DNF / the characters were a bit bland and I kept trying but it just wasn't it for me. I couldn't really get into it.

A sweet and sensual, friends to lovers romance that has a lot of growth and heart from the two main characters.

Claire is a ER nurse and Graham is a thrill seeking firefighter who made a packed that if they arent married by forty they are each others backup plan they are friends and roommates and nothing more so to Claire she didn't think much of the deal. When Graham got serious injuries that leave him down for a while Claire offers to help him out unware that things are going to start heating up between the two as they get to spend more time and learn more about eachother.

I've read many other books with kinda the same plot and yet this author managed to make it her own with a unique set of characters and I really enjoyed seeing how things went on in this book. It was interesting to get to know their past which made it easy to understand why Claire was a bit iffy about letting Graham close in a relationship way because of what happened with her father. Then it was Grahams point of view which I loved because of those emails he was writing, absolutely adorable. Both had plenty of trauma and things from the past that made it hard to move on into the future and it was interesting seeing how everything settled out in the end. Overall I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend you romance lovers to check this book out.

Having heard plenty of stories about the ER and fire stations, this felt like a match made in heaven and Allison Ashley definitely delivered in her book. This was sweet, hilarious, and steamy. I will definitely be checking out Allison Ashley's later works!
