I really liked this cookbook. There are a lot of recipes in here. Alot of them are quick and easy to make. I made two recipes from this cookbook. I am looking forward to trying some of the other ones as well. I would recommend this cookbook to others.

Great Recipes!

Can’t wait to try them all! One Pan makes it even better! The least amount of dishes the better! I can see some of these as family traditions. Yummm!

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.

One pan meals are great they are easy and not much clean up. This cookbook is nice as it has some colored pictures. Most of the recipes are all ingredients you already have on hand in your pantry and freezer. but not applicable always to European mediterranean taste
Thanks netgalley for the ARC

I have always loved all of Wanda E. Brunstetter's stories. This cookbook is a perfect complement to all of her stories. It is very fitting that she would write a cookbook that showcases the way her characters prepared their meals.

Thank you, Barbour Publishing, for allowing me to read this book in exchange of an honest review.

As a busy mom, I'm always looking for one dish meals to save time and mess. I have teenagers so hardy meals are as much as well. So I was excited to review this cookbook from Amish fiction writer, Wanda E. Brunstetter. The sample I recived covered the first fifty pages which was mostly the breakfast section. Many of the dishes include eggs and can be prepared in one pan as promised. The directions were clear and the pictures were beautiful. The recipes seem fairly simple and would make a nice gift for newlyweds. This also the type of cookbook that I might use myself with some adjustments to seasoning. From the sample, this looks like a nice quality cookbook.

*Disclaimer: I recieved a free copy of this cookbook from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the sample of Wanda E. Brunstetter's Amish Friends One-Pan Wonders Cookbook
I found many of the breakfast recipes to be inspiring, especially the Easy Veggie Quiche and the Overnight Breakfast Casserole
Upon it's release, I plan on buying the book

I can’t wait to read the full version of this cookbook. I love a one pan meal! The recipes I’ve seen are unique and easy.

I loved this author's other cookbooks and was glad to get the chance to review this SAMPLE of her latest offering: One Pan Wonders.

Just about anything you can bake on a sheet, roasting pan, pot or cauldron has been dealt with in this cookbook, from what I could see.

<img src="https://sugarspunrun.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Easy-Macaroni-Salad-Recipe-1-of-1-15-1.jpg"/>

The macaroni salad for a crowd uses so much sugar, I defy anyone not to think it wasn't a dessert! I, for one, am going to give that one a try!!!

I've read other "Sample only" ARC cookbooks and was usually underwhelmed by them. Not this book! The author/chef gave us ample samplings of the various one-pot/pan recipes culled from her own and her friend's and family's kitchens.

Highly recommended. 5 out of 5 Stars! My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this cookbook in exchange for an honest review.

These look delicious. I can't wait to check out the full book. If they all sound as good as these, I will have to try them out soon. Thanks for the sample!

I was super excited to see an Amish one pan cookbook! I was able to preview the first fifty pages and the book did not disappoint. The pictures were clear and beautiful. Honestly the pictures made me hungry. The instructions are easy to follow.
The recipes I tried were delicious.

The recipes have clear instructions on how to make each dish. I’m glad egg prices have gone down because there are a lot of egg dishes in the first part of the book. We love eggs in our house and I’m excited to start using some of these recipes in our home.
I also enjoyed reading a bit about the history of the Anabaptists, Amish and Mennonites.
I’m excited to try the recipes !

Wanda E. Brunstetter's Amish Friends One-Pan Wonders Cookbook is a well curated collection of one pan prep/cooked dishes. Released 1st May 2023 by Barbour Books, it's 224 pages and is available in spiral bound format.

The eARC provided for review is a 50 page sample with recipes for breakfasts, salads, soups & stews, dinners, stovetop, desserts, snacks, and breads, and also includes several indexes with recipe contributors, recipes by each section, and VERY helpfully, an index of main ingredients with recipes included featuring each main ingredient..

The photography is appealing and warm and emphasizes the comfort and simplicity of good food with good friends and family. The typography and layout are homey, with recipes presented individually, organized by section.

Many of these recipes will be familiar to cooks who have had family recipes handed down for generations, or for anyone who has attended church socials and family reunions. The recipes all have ingredients listed in American standard measurements only. The written directions are clear and easy to follow. There is no nutritional information given for the sample recipes, and the contributors names are listed for each. There are some convenience/premade ingredients here such as canned soups for casseroles and bakes, Miracle whip, and corn chips. Everything else is from scratch. Also many of these recipes have large yields, perfect for parties, reunions, gatherings, etc.

Four stars. (With the assumption that the rest of the recipes and book quality are to the same standard as the sample provided for review).

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

Recipes using only one pan translates to less dishes to wash and a delicious easy meal. I only received a sample of this cookbook from Netgalley. However, just reviewing that sample caused me to immediately order the full cookbook. The context showed some really great recipes. The photos were appealing. And best for me was that the recipes seemed practical where anyone would enjoy them. Thanks NetGalley for an idea of a new cookbook. I see that Wanda Brunstetter has more cookbooks and I suspect I may be coming back for more.

I always love the Amish cookbooks that are published and this one was no different. The recipes were well written, straightforward, and easy to make. I try to make a few recipes anytime I get a cookbook and happily chose two.from this one. I tried the Simple Cheese Quiche because I love a quiche and how can you go wrong with cheese. The end product looked like it should and tasted delicious. This recipe was a definite keeper. I also tried the Corn Chip Salad recipe. I do something similar but the recipes were different enough that I wanted to try this version. It tasted great and was different enough from mine that I could serve them both at the same time and you wouldn't know they shared a title. If enjoy recipes with fresh yet easy to come by ingredients this is definitely the cookbook for you.

I love one pot meals, especially for dinner, It’s hard to give a review on this book as the sample only provided recipes for breakfast and salads. Those recipes were ok, but not what I’m looking for in a cookbook.

Thank you, Netgalley and Barbour Publishing, for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I usually like this author’s cookbooks but based on the sample copy I received this time to review I would probably not get this one. The recipes look basic, nothing new that is worth buying the book for. Some recipes have photos. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

I must state right up front that I received a sample partial copy of this cookbook in Kindle form from Barbour Publishing via NetGalley. From what I observe the actual bound cookbook should be an excellent addition to any collection. This is my own unsolicited opinion of my sample copy of fifty pages.
The Kindle version is clear to read and is a great invitation to actually have the full cookbook itself with the fold flat binding. Author Wanda Brunstetter has written the introduction to the collection of over 200 one pan recipes. Her words include, "some of the best of the best from past Amish Friends cookbooks." Following that there is a brief history of the Anabaptists which the Amish and Mennonite people descend from.
This book is beautifully embellished with photography of appealing images that catch the eye and spark the appetite. The colorful photos of breakfast dishes and salads drew me in. Each recipe has a detailed list of ingredients along with clear directions on how to make the one pan meal, side dish, or even simple desserts. The community flavor of the book is each contributor's name, town and state are listed at the end of the recipe. I believe that there is something for nearly everyone in this cookbook.

I collect cookbooks and have for 50 years so I'm pretty selective on which ones earn a spot on my shelves. Wanda Brunstetter's books are always a welcome addition. The recipes have clear directions and are made with ingredients most of us have in our everyday pantries. I not only use her cookbooks, I gift them often.
