This book was excellent for beginners wanting to learn how to work with candles. I found it very informative and interesting to read through some of the contextual information for my practice

This is a great book to serve as a guide for channeling new energy into your life. The specifics of the magic are candles which explore spells related to color, size, and shape. These offer different uses that can meet a variety of needs and aim to add positivity and light into everyone's life. This can be for someone who has already been broadening their spirituality or beginners who are curious with an easy-to-use guide, illustrations, and easy instructions. If you're looking for something positive and meditative for your life than I recommend checking out this book.

Candle Magic by Minerva Radcliffe was an enjoyable read, although it didn’t provide me with much information that I didn’t already know which is something that I look for nowadays with books about magick and witchcraft.

Overall, an easy to understand resource for beginners on candle magick.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have read a few books on candle magic before this one. This is a good book for beginners. I was a little confused when I first looked at the table of contents. I was not sure what each section had to do with candle magic. It is simple enough to follow. I like how colorful the cover was it pulls the eye towards it.

This book was incredibly beautiful and informative. I loved the colors as well as the format. The book was broken down and separated in a way that made sense and even included several spells for true beginners!

A nice little collection of spells. I like that it just jumps right into the spells without a whole lot of introduction. Might not be the best for the very beginner.

I began reading this book and thought, by golly, this book looks familiar! I had read a book of candle magic before, and it turns out, this is the exact same book 😄

I'm unsure why it is being republished but it has a new cover and I believe the dimensions of the book may have changed as well. But the pages inside are the same.

I can only assume it's getting a fresh look to fit in with the companion books being released alongside it, so good for it! I actually adore the new cover and I am in love with all that green!

A very aesthetically pleasing with such vibrant colors. Very easy to read and understand, although warnings should be detailed under the specific spells and not at the end of book. Overall, great book for beginners and those who choose to dabble. Thanks NetGalley

Very Informative

I love all the vibrant colors used in this book. Very pleasing to look at.

The author states that the world around us is painted in color, that colors can create a sense of comfort, bring joy, stimulate the senses, and soothe anxiety, and that colored candles carry significant meanings, strengthening spell work.

She gives a brief summary of the meaning of a few of the most common colors, and provides several spells/rituals from white candle meditation, home blessing candle spell to communicating with your higher self.

Additionally, the author provides several spells correlating to numbers, and some crystal spells. I am particularly intrigued by the Banishing Negative Energy spell. There are many spells in this book. They are simple and easy to understand and perform. Additionally, there are numerous spells that may be used for many purposes.

This book of beautiful spell is a jewel for beginners. Highly recommend.

Candle Magic by Minerva Radcliffe is an easy to read intro into not only candle magic but the magic of numbers, colors and a few crystals as well as a few herbs.

The spells are easy and very user friendly- perfect for beginniners without scaring them off, while also making them interested in learning more and expand their knowlegde.

I do however have two major problems with this book:

The first is that the warnings are tiny and at the very back of the book. If you have to write a warning, I feel that you also have to ensure its placed where readers easily can see it - without having to actively search for it.

The second is that some of the herbs mentioned in the recipes are poisonous. And there is no user warning.
Star Anise and Mexican Saffron can be dangerous if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
It doesn’t mean that you can’t use these herbs. It does however mean that you should limit said use, and be extra cautious when practising your craft.

What a beautiful book.

I know nothing about witchcraft but I am always drawn to books involving the supernatural and so it seemed right that I should do some research.
There are a number of spells in here aimed at the absolute beginners with the basics covered.
The book is split in to four categories of candle magic and I found it fascinating.

I do not understand much about protection spells, angelic numbers or lunar spells, however, among the objectives of this 2023 I have set myself to inform myself more about topics that stimulate my curiosity. So, here I am.

Candle magic is a very interesting little book that explains how to best use the power conferred by candles. I will not dwell much with this review because these topics do not fall much into my comfort zone and, as a skeptical person, I would not know whether or not to believe in all the "benefits" elecanti. Either way, it was a refreshingly informative read. I will definitely buy my hard copy.

First thing. The book is very aesthetic. A very short book that give you instructions and spells to perform. I reckon this book is for intermediary witches because the basics are not given (by basics I mean the cleansing, grounding etc before starting any spellwork).

It's a quaint little book with some good positive spells and the incantations are also provided.

Personally, I like to become creative when I try something. I am not a full fledged practitioner but I have dabbled enough in magick and sometime do incorporate some elements in my life as stress buster. These spells are good for just that. But if I were to use these spells, I will probably improvise a lot. And I will suggest all to do the same because not one thing works for everyone.

Also, I might add that although this book is titled Candle Magic, the spells require more than just candles, sometimes crystals which can be difficult for some people to obtain.

In the end, it is a nice book to read if you are in need of some premade spells to do and maybe take some inspo for your spell. Other than that, if you are new and need some detailed guidance I suggest look for other books on this topic.

I read this book thinking what could I learn new about candles and magic. I learned a LOT of new ways to use the element of fire and intention in beneficial ways . One of my favorites that did work well was the animal guide intention . That is to find who my animal guide or totem might be. I was surprised it worked well as I had never thought of this before! Also I was glad I read the first part of the book because it explains a lot of why it works and how to proceed. Also the section of numbers and candles was very worthwhile to me. Crystals are also touched on as well as many other positive methods to bring positive change or protection and healing. This is an excellent book. Well illustrate and sequenced. Practical and you dont need a gift shop to get the ingredients.

This guide was an informative and concise rendering of a wide variety of spells using candles. Perfect for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Beautifully put together and easy to follow. Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking to practice or expand their knowledge on spellcasting with candles.

Getting into candle magic was my first step in becoming a witch. It's pretty straight forward, simple, ideals for beginners and experience witches, and also who isn't a fan of candles? This reference book has great tops, spells, and more!

This is a great guide on how to use candle magic. The book is divided into four types of candle magic: color, number, crystal, and herbal. Color magic determines which color candle to use depending on your intention. Number magic involves using different number candles depending on your intention. Crystal magic integrates crystals in the use of these spells and setting intentions. Lastly, herbs are incorporated with the candles depending on the intention. These are short, simple spells in which every action fuels the intention.

This is so beautifully created. The illustrations and the colours are perfect, and coordinated with each other really well.

Each section is broken down really well and there are some really interesting spells that I haven't seen before. Each section has a brilliant introduction, if you hadn't used it before or if you wanted a refresher of what it entails. This is laid out very easy to read with each spell being on each page. I feel that there need a little more organisation with which spells are for what maybe like alphabetical.

Just a really good book of spells.
