I can't seem to get 100 characters out to tell you how I DNF'd this book. I didn't care for any if the characters in this book. I didn't care what happened to them. It would have been fine if the author had killed them all off. Maybe she did I just couldn't get that far to care.

A group of friends go for a little getaway, drama unfolds and one ends up dead.. who killed them?
I for sure love a who-dun-it!? Books and this book falls into the basic territory from the get go. There’s one particular character that I’m hoping is the one that gets murdered, if you know you know.
This book for sure had its generic moments where I was rolling my eyes but slowly but surely it sucked me in. It had me guessing and then second guessing again. I was right on 50% of it lol
Overall this book was a quick read, I finished it within a day or so. A little entertaining book that is a treat for those who love the who-done-it genre. I would recommend It. 3.5 stars
Thanks to the folks at NetGalley for a ARC of this book. My review is honest reflection of my feelings towards this book

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC.
This is a really fun little mystery about a group of kids on spring break trying to piece together each others lies. When one of them dies suddenly the teens have to try and figure out if it was an accident or if it was murder. And if it was murder, which one of them is responsible?
I read this book really quickly and enjoyed it thoroughly. If you like murder mysteries with without much violence and high school kids behaving badly this is the book for you.

Bad Like Us is a YA murder mystery/thriller. Two friend groups get together for a senior spring break trip at a secluded resort not yet open to the public. There are some messy connections between these friend groups and some secret scandals that are revealed throughout the book. One of the members of the group turns up dead under suspicious circumstances. No one in this group trusts each other, but they know the murderer is among them. This was a fast paced “ who dunnit” mystery that kept my attention.
What I liked: The chapters were short, so it felt very fast paced. The dual timeline gave the reader context on all the messy relationships and situations leading up to the trip. The dual POV gave the reader context to different POV and opinions on who the murder could be. I did not predict the twist at the end.
What I disliked: There were so many characters I had trouble keeping track of the characters that weren’t mentioned as much. I felt like there could’ve been more clues leading up to discovering the murder. The ending felt rushed and I felt like the epilogue should have included how Miles situation resolved, what was the outcome of the trial, etc.

Book promo~ Two friend groups collide when someone turns up dead over spring break in this heart-thumping YA thriller for fans of One of Us Is Lying and We Were Liars
This blurb got my attention as I liked both "One of us is Lying” as well as " We Were Liars"
It is spring break and these Seattle high school teens are doing what most teens do or want to do on spring break and that is go to ‘get together and party!. In this case friends: ~ Colton and his twin brother Danny Demardo, Javier Ramos, Miles Brynner, Noah Lauder, Piper Meyers, Karly Davis, Alice Moloi, and Eva head to a cabin in a private cove off the beaten path in the woods near the ocean.
Now seven friends must try to solve who killed their classmate and friend.
I know I am not the target audience for this story but as a High School Guidance Counselor I love to read YA books as I not only enjoy a good YA story but it pleases me when I can recommend a book to my students.
As I was getting ready to start this I decided to check some reviews and saw many so-so comments,
I then went into this not expecting much and was so delighted that it turned out so much better than expected!!
Want to thank NetGalley and Inkyard Press for this early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for March 5, 2024.

Solid four stars, this was ALMOST amazing. I loved the way it was set up, I loved getting the transcripts from Piper's videos and the police interviews. I do think there could have been a little more in the police interviews. But, this was ALMOST so great. I just felt like the characters needed a little more depth. Everyone was just very surface level, even our MCs. I feel like I don't know much about Eva at all. There wasn't enough identifying information for me to even tell you who is who in the cover. This really has five star potential, but it just fell a little short.

This book fit nicely in the young adult category. There was a lot going on but it was a good read. The process of figuring out was very well done and the conclusion wasn’t exactly what I expected.

This is a good YA thriller who done it.
Eva is going to a cabin in Oregon for Spring break. When one of them ends up dead. Every one of them has a reason.
This book was a good fast paced thriller that kept you thinking. I was very impressed with a the storyline and the character back story.
The storyline kept me invested through out the book and was face paced.
I like how the story kept jumping from months before and present time.
Definitely up there with Karen McManus One of Us is Lying.

I absolutely loved this book! Even though it takes place during spring break, it feels like the perfect fall mystery to me. Gabriella did a great job of writing these characters! There are definitely times where late high schoolers are written seeming too young, but these characters were perfect to me. The only things that I wish were in this book is more of a story from Colton and Eva because I love the chemistry they have. And then also just a touch more background on the test stealing and selling. I know there isn't a ton in the beginning to add more suspense throughout the story, but I think I wish there was a bigger reason of "why?"

Thank you Inkyard Press, Gabriella Lepore and NetGalley for this arc for free in exchange for an honest review.
I was in a reading slump and this book caught my eye and got me out of it. This book definitely gave off Pretty Little Liars vibes. I liked that we got first person POV in multiple POVs. The flashbacks were a bit much and had me a little confused but it added to the plot. The police interviews were a nice touch. I was definitely second guessing myself on who I thought may have done it. I didn’t trust anyone, not even Paul. It was an enjoyable easy read that keeps you guessing and wanting more.

This is an easy read. It's fast-paced and engaging. The characters were pretty well developed and they were easy to connect with. The plot and pacing were good. This book would be a good read for fans of Karen McManus

A group of friends goes to spend spring break at a remote lodge in the woods, and one of them dies. Secrets and lies come out as the remaining friends form allegiances and try to figure out which of them did it.
This one started off a little slow for me, and I had to orient myself a number of times to get the characters straight in my head (there are a lot of them!) But the pace picked up around chapter four and continued til the end. I admit, I pointed the finger at every character in the book before figuring it out. A classic murder mystery; 3.5 stars rounded up.
Thanks very much to Inkyard Press and NetGalley for the ARC!

"Bad Like Us" by Gabriella Lepore is an enthralling mystery story that kept me guessing till the end. The book's suspenseful narrative and well-developed characters made it a thrilling and engaging read.

First of all, thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Bad Like Us.
In the current landscape, which is saturated with YA tales of mystery & suspense, Bad Like Us is enjoyable, but I think it's going to blend in with other similar titles. I wish I had had a little more back story and a little less predictability. I know I'll have students who will read this if it's on the shelf, but I don't know if they'd miss it if it weren't.

I absolutely love a good YA thriller, especially a summer vibe read and this book delivered. Held my interest until the end.

Storygraph review in link. Thank you for the book!
I enjoyed reading this book, it kind of reminded me of Karen McManus books.

I feel like I keep reading YA thrillers set over spring break, which is bad because now they're all blurring together. This story is about two friend groups who come together and someone ends up dying, and the rest are left behind to piece together the puzzle. I don't like dual timelines, I find that they make it hard for me to stay invested in the story because I have to keep reframing how I'm seeing the story. In some instances they really work, but I think that I prefer YA thrillers where everything is in the present. It keeps the pace of the story pushing forward, and it makes them fun and fast. I thought that the characters were okay, but there were too many of them because I was struggling to keep them all straight. I didn't guess the killer at all which was fun. Overall, this story definitely kept me guessing until the end and was a pretty fun YA thriller/mystery. I think that the teens at my library will get a kick out of this one!

Bad Like Us is a YA thriller that takes place over spring break and is about two groups of friends coming together and someone ends up dead.
I liked all of the characters. I’m not really a fan of dual timelines but this one did it very well. I wasn’t confused as much as I normally am with others of its kind. It kept me guessing who was the murderer to the very end. Was it Colton or was it Danny, or Javier or Miles or how about Eva or there’s Alice as well.
Bad Like Us played like a movie in my head (a good movie) and I kept coming back to this who-done-it mystery book.
Thank you Inkyard Press and NetGalley for this ARC. All opinions are my own in exchange for this eARC.

YA Thriller and Mystery
Two friend groups feud when someone turns up dead over spring break. Will they be able to figure out who did it?
Interesting from the beginning and the authors writing style made it easy to visualize each scene. A very quick read but with so many main characters, I was a bit lost at times. There is definitely a turning point and the story gets REALLY juicy. Great read for teens but will also be enjoyed by those whom enjoy a good mystery.

I enjoyed Bad like us. It was a quick read and kept me wanting to know what happens next. I did feel there was too many main characters because I kept forgetting who was who, but other than that I enjoyed it!
