This is a very sweet story that will brighten the day of children who love to hunt Easter eggs. It has a fun twist when a special egg is mixed in with the colorful ones and complications arise for Fiona. All the adventures are fun for kids. The illustrations are bright and cheerful. The main character is a delightful take on the real resident of the Cincinnati Zool

This was an absolutely adorable book! I’ve followed Fiona’s story since she was born so I was immediately interested in a fictional book about her. Because I have followed her, my son also has gotten a little taste of the Fiona bug and so we read this together. He loved it as much as I did. This is definitely a great, cute little book.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Fiona and her zoo friends are on another adventure. Easter is coming and along with Easter, new babies will be making their appearance as well. While coloring Easter Eggs and planning the big hunt with Fiona's friends, Swan had asked them to look after her eggs. While you can guess what happened. An egg went missing. Fiona and her friends got this and went off to help Mama Swan find her egg.

Fiona and her friends are delightful and will bring a smile to your young readers face.

A special thank you to Zondervan and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

The Fiona books are always a pleasure to read, and this is no exception. This is an Easter book with no religion. It’s about family and friends and a good time with an Easter egg hunt and a missing swan egg. It’s one of those cuddly books it just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy and puts a smile on your face.

This is the first book I’ve read by Mr. Cowdrey and it definitely won’t be the last. I’m 65 and the older I get, the more children’s books I read. If you have grandchildren, this would be a great addition to their library. The story was fun and cute, with a little problem to solve. Mr. Cowdrey has definitely observed Fiona the hippo from the Cincinnati Zoo. I have, too, through the magic of YouTube. He captured her personality perfectly, right down to the ear wiggles. I loved the other animals in the story as well. The illustrations were beautiful and amazing. Perky, cheerful, and colorful. Loved the vibrant colors.

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for graciously allowing me an Advanced Reader Copy to review. My review is unbiased and my own opinion.

I highly recommend this book, no matter your age.

What a cute book ! We loved the illustrations and original story.
It starts with Fiona the hippo wanting to put on an Easter egg hunt. She begins to set up the hunt when Mrs. Swan needs someone to sit with her eggs. She sits with them until she returns. Later some of Mrs. Swans eggs are missing. Could her eggs have gotten mixed up with the eggs for the Easter Egg hunt ? The hunt begins, but instead of looking for colored eggs they are looking for Mrs. Swans eggs.
Super cute story. My kids loved it!

This was the sweetest, cutest holiday book. The illustrations were absolutely gorgeous. I loved watching Fiona and Rico go on this adventure and learn about Easter. For animal-loving kids, they would really enjoy this book set in a zoo. There are lots of illustrations of animals.

It’s also a charming book about friendship, responsibility, and being accountable for your mistakes. When an egg went missing, Fiona did not shy away from the trouble she was in. She led the charge to find the egg with the help of her friends. Lots of great messages for little ones. Highly recommend!!

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. These are my own thoughts and opinions.

This was the CUTEST book for any animal loving little one. The artwork was perfect, and I imagine all children will be excited to follow along with Fiona and Rico's adventure. This is an essential Spring/Easter read for small children, and will definitely get them excited to want to know more about Fiona the Hippo.

Fiona the Hippo is one of my student's all time favorite characters. Not only is Fiona an actual hippo in real life at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, she is an adorable, inspiring hippo that has captured the hearts of many readers with her stories, young and old, around the world. I was drawn to this book immediately when I saw the adorable front cover that is bound to capture young readers.

Fiona and the Easter Egg is another adorable story that is centered around Fiona planning an Easter egg hunt for her friends at the zoo. All of the animal friends are ready for the big event to begin when suddenly, Ms. Swan discovers one of her eggs is missing! Fiona and her friends think the missing egg was accidentally mixed in with the Easter eggs, and begin their search to help Ms. Swan find the missing egg. Will the friends find the missing egg?

I can't wait to introduce this new addition to my students! I know they will love it!

Thank you to Richard Cowdrey, Zonderkidz, and #NetGalley for the ARC and opportunity to read and review this heartwarming book!

Fiona is a real live world famous hippo who lives at the Cincinnati Zoo. She is so popular, a series of children’s fiction books have been written about her. This one is an Easter story which involves a mixup with one of the eggs she’s hidden at the Zoo. The story is accompanied by absolutely adorable illustrations of Fiona and the other animals at the Zoo. I hope readers will seek out the other books in the Fiona the Hippo series.

This is a perfect Easter book for families that want a different twist on an egg hunt that doesn't involve a bunny. Fiona And Rico have their hearts in the right place to and put on an egg hunt for their zoo friends while inadvertently getting into some trouble. Both Fiona and Rico are adorable and show working as a team is key to solving a problem. I read this book to my kids (6 and 8) at bed time. They giggled in all the right places and helped solve the mystery!

I have loved this series and this hippo since she was born. Her story is amazing and seeing these books centered around her makes my heart happy.
This is such a sweet story where the animals work together to solve the problem. The pictures are always so vivid and you really feel like you are looking at the actual animals. I also appreciate the variety of animals that is shown in this book.

Fiona the Hippo series continues with an Easter Egg Hunt, featuring Fiona the Hippo, Rico the Porcupine, Mrs. Swan, and Mama Hippo. This is a fun little tale in which Fiona and Rico have the best intentions of holding an Easter Egg Hunt and accidentally swap a fake egg with one of the swan baby eggs. Everyone has to go on the hunt to find the missing baby, who happens to hatch and imprint on Fiona.

If you love the Cincinnati Zoo's Fiona the Hippo, you will love this book!

Fiona and her friend, Rico, are planning an Easter egg hunt when one of the swan eggs gets mixed in with the Easter eggs. The animals all search until they can reunite the mom with her baby. I love the Fiona series and this book is no exception. The illustrations are amazing and make the story come to life on the page. The story itself is sweet and easy to read. My three year old loved this book and I loved getting to read it with him. I loved this series and am so glad I get to share this with my kids. It holds a special place for us since we go to the Cincinnati Zoo and see Fiona often.

It's time to celebrate Easter! Fiona and her friend, Rico the porcupine, plan a super special secret Easter egg hunt for all their friends and the new baby animals recently born at the zoo. While hiding eggs, Mrs. Swan asks them if they can watch her six eggs for her while she gathers supplies to build a new nest. While trying to keep the eggs warm, Fiona gets a little too close and knocks Mrs. Swan's eggs and the Easter Eggs out of the basket! Luckily, she and Rico get them all back. Mostly, that is. During the Easter Egg Hunt, Mrs. Swan realizes that she is missing one of her eggs, and it has been accidentally hidden among the Easter eggs! Everyone has to work together to try to find the egg that is almost ready to hatch.

This charming read features numerous animals that would be great for teaching children or testing their recognition of them. Perceptive readers may notice that one of the eggs is missing early in the story before the big reveal. This would be a great storytime or holiday read for small children and children who like animals. The illustrations are colorful and semi-realistic, and the text is very child-friendly.

This is a very cute book about a hippo, Fiona, and her friend Rico the porcupine. It's springtime and there are lots of baby animals being born at the zoo. Fiona and Rico are out and about meeting their new friends and see a sign for an Easter Egg Hunt. That gives them the idea to have an Easter egg hunt for the animals. They made pretty colorful eggs to hide with treats inside. They set out to find perfect hiding places for the eggs both high for the giraffes and elephants and down low for the the other animals. As they were out hiding eggs they run into Mrs Swan. She was keeping her eggs warm waiting for them to hatch. She ask them to watch the eggs for a few minutes while she finds more grass to keep them cozy. Well a hippo can't snuggle up to the eggs as well as a swan and the eggs went everywhere. They rushed to recover the eggs. They continued to hide the colorful eggs and something happened they weren't expecting. I won't spoil the ending but you will want to read on to see what happens.
Beautiful colorful illustrations add to this cute story.

A fabulous story about Fiona – the world’s most famous amazing Hippo who happens to also live in my hometown- and her little buddy Rico (who is equally precious) and their quest to host an Easter egg hunt for all their animal friends. Mrs. Swan suddenly discovers that one of her eggs is missing! The hunt is on!! All of the animals search for the missing little egg because it is supposed to hatch soon. Fiona soon has a fluffy new friend as the egg (with legs) is found! Whew! This is the most gorgeously illustrated book and I expect nothing less from Richard Cowdrey – he is phenomenal! This is a perfect addition to any child’s library, and I can NOT wait to share it with my little grandmuffin!!! Fiona and the Easter Egg Hunt was generously provided in digital format by NetGalley and Richard Cowdrey in exchange for an honest review. I’m absolutely ordering this in hardback for our little grand library.
