Generally I liked this and would read the rest of the series. The characters are interesting, but it also was hard to get into these leads being together at the begining as the connection wasn't really working for me, but I did like the resolution.

Quinn Hott is a brilliant scientist working in Boston to create groundbreaking new drugs to save lives. But his grandfather's will requires him to return to Rush Creek and live on the family ranch for two months working as the receptionist in his sister's salon, Hott Spot. Quinn definitely isn't receptionist material, bearded and burly with a gruff and grumpy personality. Sonya is the Hott Spot's manager, desperate to recover the losses of an embezzlement by their last receptionist. The last thing she needs is an unkempt beastly man scaring away her customers. But the more time they spend together, the more Quinn wants to help, from a new haircut to creating the salon's own product line. At first he couldn't wait to get back to his real life, but maybe now he has a reason to stay.
After reading Hannah and Easton's story in the Wilder series, I was intrigued by her Hott brothers so I'm so excited they're getting their own spinoff series. Quinn seems like the guy you want to avoid, introverted and grumpy, but under that shell is a true cinnamon roll sweet guy. He'll do anything for those he cares about, even putting his brilliant career on hold to save the family ranch. Not your average nerdy scientist, this Hott man is all muscle under that lab coat!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Great start to a new series from Serena Bell. Quinn is the first of his brothers to get his assignment to get his grandfather’s inheritance, so Quinn- not at all a people person has to be a receptionist for the time being with Sonya all sunshine and smiles person. I loved the story how it develops and how both Quinn and Sonya show each other what the other is missing, the thing that can make them stronger. Really enjoyable read.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I can't quite call this 4 stars because it just didn't hold my interest, but it's an easygoing, lighthearted read and a solid series starter. This is charming small town romance with a little bit of spice, with a playful opposites attract dynamic. Our hero is a gruff, sweetheart of a man who is out of his element - a chemist tasked with temporarily working at a beauty salon in order to secure a family inheritance. I loved the fish out of water element and how the hero really opened up somewhere along the way. The premise also sets up the series nicely, and I liked that it was just interconnected enough to intrigue me about the next installment. However, I never became attached to either character and the romance was lacking a spark for me, so I found the book exceedingly easy to put down. I have a feeling I won't remember the plot in a month, so it ended up being a popcorn read for me.

The story follows Quinn, a chemist who found success after leaving the small town he grew up in. He had no plans to return permanently, but the stipulations of a will (it's complicated) require him to temporarily return. Not only that, but the reclusive, introverted man has also been tasked with living in a certain property and working at a specific beauty salon... which means he's not only working day to day with a beautiful stranger, but her new roommate as well. Sonya isn't sure what to think of Quinn, but he doesn't seem like the right fit for a beauty salon - and he's interfering with her plans to turn the place around. But the more these two opposites get to know each other, the more they click, and Quinn's departure date becomes a ticking time bomb between them.

Bell is great for light, sexy romances with a sweet feel, and this is definitely that. I liked both characters and they fit together surprisingly well. I wouldn't quite call this a spin on Beauty and the Beast, but Quinn comes out of his shell and starts to shine somewhere along the way. I'm also interested in some of the other characters, and I can see this working well as a series of standalones. So I was disappointed to realize that I just didn't connect to the romance. The book does a lot to set up the series and focuses on the salon business, so the moments of connection between Quinn and Sonya got lost to the overarching plot. I did not feel the swoons, and once they got together I realized how little emotional investment I had in their love story. So there were no major roadblocks holding me back from enjoying the book, but nothing tying me to it either.

Hott Shot is book 1 in the Hott Springs Eternal series by Serena Bell.
And I’m already wanting book two.
This book has a phenomenal storyline and character development.
I thought it was very entertaining, captivating and so much fun.
Like I could not put it down.
Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters.
A remarkable spicy, grumpy-sunshine, opposites attract, rom-com set in the beloved small town of Rush Creek. Which I can’t wait to return to.

First I wanted to thank Author Collective 20 for providing an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

After reading the books in the Wilder Adventure series I started following the author on social media and recently she posted this book was available on NetGalley and I requested right away. Luckily enough my request was approved and similar to the Wilder Adventure series I LOVED it!

This is the story of Quinn, the youngest Hott Brother, who is back in town after the death of their grandfather. In the will his grandfather has required each of the Hott brothers to perform a specific task in order for the ranch to stay in the family. Quinn is the first and he has been tasked to work the front desk of the Hott Spot Spa and Salon with Sonya, his new boss. During his time at the Hott Spot Quinn has time to work on his people skills and reconsider how he feels about home and relationships.

What I loved:
- Hott family, I am a sucker for books with large families and with the boys all wanting to do what's best for Hanna is just the sweetest
- Science Guy, Quinn is a scientist and how he uses his skills to help Sonya is such a flex and super cute
- Found family, Sonya only had her dad after her mother passed away but she built herself a found family in the team she hires at Hott Spot and they would do anything for her
- Past characters, I was so excited when this series was announced since there is a direct connection with the Wilder family. I am such a sucker for interrelated book series where we get to keep revisiting old favorite characters
- Spice, I like a spicy romance and I was not disappointed with this book!
- Grumpy/Sunshine, I adore this trope and Quinn/Sonya are the epitome of grumpy and sunshine

I devoured this book cause it has everything I love from a Serena Bell comedy, attractive mountain man with a heart of gold, strong main female character, family dynamics all in an amazing small town setting. The bonus at end of this book was the perfect way to close out this story cause I'm DYING to know how Shane pulls it off! If you are a fan of romantic comedies with big families, small towns and grumpy/sunshine RUN don’t walk to get your hands on this book and give it a read.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and Author Serena Bell for arc of Hott Shot.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity of reading this book early. I absolutely loved the last book of the Wilder Adventures series and knew I needed to read this asap.

In this book we meet Sonya and Quinn. Quinn is the brother of Hanna who was part of the last book in the Wilder Adventures series. Sonya runs the beauty salon that Hanna, Quinn and their family own. When these two meet it’s definitely the grumpy-sunshine trope right away and I love it. They have the best little banter, jokes and very spicy moments throughout their journey in this book.

We see a lot of growth from the both of them and a lesson is learned on how to open up to those who are willing to be there for you. Which, I genuinely loved and I think many people will enjoy reading about as well. Sonya and Quinn have such a cute connection and I think they’re so perfect together.

Grab this book if you love
- small town romance
- a little mystery
- spice
- found family
- Grandad’s Will but with a twist

You will love it

HOTT SHOT is the first instalment in Serena Bell’s contemporary, adult HOTT SPRINGS ETERNAL erotic, romance series focusing on the HOTT siblings: Quinn, Shane, Preston, Tucker, Rhys, and their sister Hanna (Wilder at Last 5/ Wilder Adventures). This is scientist Quinn Hott, and spa manager Sonya Rossi’s story line. HOTT SPRINGS ETERNAL is a spin off from the author’s WILDER ADVENTURE SERIES but you do not have to have read the original series to follow along.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Quinn and Sonya) HOTT SHOT follows in the aftermath of the death of the Hott family patriarch, grandfather Hott who has a number of stipulations and guidelines if the siblings are to inherit or keep the family fortune. Up first, is scientist Quinn Hott, who is forced to work the reception desk at Hott Springs Eternal Spa and Salon, a sixty day assignment in which he must abide by all of the rules and regulations set out in the will but Quinn is the quiet, the grump, the deep thinking Hott sibling, and facing the public is not what he does best. Enter spa manager Sonya Rossi who is about to discover that an expensive betrayal forces her out of her comfort zone, and into the arms of our story line hero. What ensues is the building relationship between Sonya and Quinn, and the potential fall-out as Quinn’s time at the spa comes to an end.

The world building focuses on the struggling HOTT sibling relationships, relationships mired in independence, heart break, rejection and loss. Grandfather Hott recognized the dysfunctional reality of his embittered grandchildren, and each will be assigned a task to maintain a relationship with their once-close siblings.

The relationship between Sonya and Quinn begins when Quinn is forced or assigned to work as the new receptionist at Hott Spring Eternal Spa and Salon. Quinn’s arrival coincides with an expensive betrayal, and in the ensuing aftermath, Quinn finds himself using his scientific brain to help Sonya overcome the loss. Living together, a forced proximity relationship ensues but Sonya knows that Quinn’s time n Rush Creek is quickly coming to a close. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including all of Quinn’s sibings: Hannah and her husband Easton, Shane, Preston, Tucker and Rhys, as well as Sonya’s father Thomas Rossi and his girlfriend Wendy, and several of the couples from the author’s WILDER ADVENTURE series. Shane’s story line is next.

HOTT SHOT is a story of betrayal and loss, power and control, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is thought provoking and entertaining; the romance is tender and edgy; the characters are sassy and determined.

Hott Shot is the first book in a spin off series by Serena Bell, and just like the Wilder Adventure series this book was so much fun!

When Hannah Hott's grandfather passes away the Hott brothers finally return to small town Rush Creek despite refusing to return for many years. At the will reading they discover their grandfather left strict directions they must follow if they want the family ranch to stay in the family.

Quinn Hott is the youngest of the Hott brothers and a brilliant scientist. He is the first brother to learn his fate and is ordered to work the reception desk of the Salon at Hannah's Wedding/spa venue.

Quinn and Sonya have a rough start but after they are forced to work together and share a cabin in employee accommodation Sonya soon sees a side of Quinn most people don't.

I enjoyed the new characters and their development as they faced ghosts from their past. I loved seeing little bits of the Wilder family, and just like in Wilder Adventures, it is fun to see the breadcrumbs laid for future stories.

This was a cute read and I would recommend it for fans for spice, forced proximity and grumpy/sunshine!

Thank you Serena Bell and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Serena Bell - such a fantastic author! I love everything I read from her. I know when I pick up one of her novels that I’m in for a steamy, fantastic thrill ride that is going to have excellent characters and a brilliant storyline and is just perfect. Hott Shot, the first book in the new spin-off series from the Wilder series, brings this all and so much more! I’m glad because I wasn’t ready to leave those characters and this world behind.

Hannah Hott was in the previous series so we had met her before - but now we get more of her family’s story and the series is about her brothers. Her grandfather’s Will has been read and now her brother’s all have to follow his wishes to the word, or their land will be given to a company that will destroy it (and the environment)… Poor Quinn, a scientist and not a people person, has to spend the next 2 months working as receptionist at the spa and salon, and be there until the time is up or the land is gone. He butts heads with the salon manager and tries to implement a few ideas to streamline processes. Sonya has specifically done it her way and is trying to recoup losses from a crooked employee, and Quinn is the last thing she needs - in many ways.

They have to figure out a way to work through it, with their opposite personalities, Quinn not wanting to be there, disasters to work through, and developing feelings. Rush Creek isn’t ready for Quinn and Sonya and their version of grumpy sunshine, roommates, forced proximity, opposites attract, workplace, strange inheritance clause romance!

Whether you’ve read Serena Bell before or not, this is an absolute must-read, 5-star romance for everyone. You need this book in your life! Being the first in a new series, it’s a great place to start if you’re new to her books. You wouldn’t need the background of the Wilder series to read this.

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Author Collective 20 (Jelsba Media Group), and this is my honest feedback.

Based in Rush Creek, the same town as the Author's last series 'Wilder Adventures', I was excited to discover that this series will follow the Hott family (Hanna Hott was FMC of Wilder at Last) and the company recently left to them by their deceased grandfather: Hott Spot Spa & Salon.

When Quinn Hott, a brilliantly successful scientist, is forced to work at the front desk of the spa for two months via a clause in his grandfathers Will, spa manager Sonya isn't too happy. How will this grumpy, rugged and introverted man assist her in meeting the sales quotas the spa desperately needs? And worse, why is the only available staff accommodation the spare room in her cabin?

Forced to spend all of their time together, tensions grow as both Quinn and Sonya fight to get what they want. Will these two professionals, with their drastically different perspectives on what is most important, be able to help each other succeed? Or will they both fail?

Thank you to Author Serena Bell and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book. All opinions shared are my own. I really enjoyed this story and the hilarious and devious way that Grandpa Hott decided to enact his revenge on his grandchildren from the grave. It's a unique and witty take on inheritance disputes and I enjoyed watching Quinn and Sonya learn to work together towards their common goals. I'm thoroughly intrigued by the concept if this series and will be reading through the to see what each Hott sibling is expected to do next!

OH MY HOTT STARS 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵!!!! AHHH-MAZING!! I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!! What a fun, heartwarming and spicy rom-com that will have you smiling, laughing and swooning!! This is the first book in the "Hott Springs Eternal" series featuring the Hott brothers and I can already tell it will be one of my favorites!! It has your grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract tropes and filled with forced proximity, hilarious banter, tension, sizzling chemistry and plenty of spice! Once I started reading I could not stop and I finished It in a day. Honestly, this book had everything I needed and more!!🥰🥰

The five Hott brothers are forced to return to the small town of Rush Creek for the reading of their grandfather's will. It appears that grandpa Fox has set some unusual requirements that must be met in order for them to keep their land in the family. Quinn Hott is the first brother that must fulfill his obligation as the receptionist at the family's spa for two months. Sonya is the manager of the day spa and when she realizes that Quinn is taking over as the new receptionist she does not know how in the world it is going to work out. Because she needs someone who has great customer service skills and can sell their products. Quinn is a bearded grumpy mountain man and a successful scientist of a BioTech company. The last thing he wants to do is take a leave of absence from his company to work as the receptionist. To make matters worse, they end up having to share a cabin on the property! However, they learn to work together while trying to suppress their attraction for one another. Their banter and chemistry are top notch!!

I enjoyed all the secondary characters in this story and can't wait to read about their journeys. I loved that this was about two people overcoming their obstacles and finding love. Ya'll Quinn is such a cinnamon roll!! The way he opens up to her and shows vulnerability is so touching.

This is my first read by Serena Bell and it will not be my last! I wholeheartedly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read about Shane in book two. All the Hott stars💫💫💫💫💫!!!

By: Serena Bell

Clash of the Hott’s!

In the first book in the Hott series a Wilder series spin off. Quinn and Sonya definitely class from the beginning. The authors writing flawless and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Beauty salon… and the Beast

Quinn: Working at the family wedding resort wasn’t exactly on my Bingo card. But it’s the only way for my siblings and me to get our grandfather’s inheritance, so here I am, staffing the Hott Spot Spa and Salon front desk. It’s an absurd gig for a man who makes Oscar the Grouch look like a people-person.

Still, I’m a hard worker. I’ve made a fortune off my scientific discoveries, and if I can engineer groundbreaking drugs, I can do anything, right? Not according to Sonya Rossi, the spa’s smoking hot and relentlessly perky manager. My grumpy approach is testing even sunshine-y Sonya’s patience. Meanwhile, I’m not sure whether I want to rain on her parade—or kiss the smile off her face.

Then the universe throws another curveball, putting us under the same roof. The closer Sonya gets, the more I like it—and her. I want to get to know her better and let her see the side of me I never show people. Until now, I’ve only believed in what I can touch, sense, and prove. I definitely don’t believe in love… but Sonya's making me wish I could.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

*3.5*

Hott Shot is the first book in a new romance series by author Serena Bell. From what I gathered by the story, there is already a series out in this particular universe of characters, but this one is the first following the Hott brothers, a group of siblings who lost their grandfather, the owner of a famous spa resort in their small town. Before passing, though, he met with a lawyer and he left him some tasks the brothers have to undergo in order to get the inheritance left for them.

This first book follows Quinn, a chemist and a scientist, who has to work for three months as a receptionist at his grandfather's resort, and there she meets Sonya, the manager of th Spa.
This story then follows them getting to work together and getting to know each other. They are two very different people, Quinn is very closed off, he doesn't like to interact with other people, while Sonya loves to connect and she adores what her job gets her to do on a daily basis.

This was a very enjoyable reading, while it wasn't mind blowing, I always love a small town romance, and this one offered all of the tropes I like to find in novels of this kind, like a found family situation. It was so sweet to see Sonya and her mother's friends forming such a special bond, and I think the characters really felt like real people.
I'm really curios to read the next book following Shane, since I think it will go more in a Hollywood romance, which I always adore.
This, for now, was for sure a fun and entertaining read!

What? A spin-off from the Wilder series? Gimmee Gimmee! I was thrilled to find out the Hott brothers were coming to town and that we'd still get glimpses here and there of the Wilders.

This first entry in the new series was spot on just what I needed. The Hott brothers are in town for the reading of their grandfather's will and it throws a kink into life as they know it. The first one directly impacted is Quinn. He's a grumpy mountain man type who happens to be a super successful chemist. He also happens to be an introvert who struggles to relate to people.

Sonya is managing the salon and spa at the Hott Spot. She and Quinn clash initially because they are extremely different. But over time, they soften to one another and begin to see each other's best qualities. They eventually find they have more in common that they initially realized. It's so fun to see how they clash but then come together.

I really enjoy Serena Bell's writing and any time an opportunity to read one of her new books presents itself, I take it. She has a talent at writing families with heart and humor and a little dysfunction. Oh and definitely some spice.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Quinn Hott is back in Rush Creek for the reading of his grandfather's will and ends up getting the surprise of his life. If Quinn wants the land to stay in the family where his sister runs a wedding/spa venue, then him and each of his 4 brothers are each going to be required to stay in town for a certain amount of time and complete a task given to them by their grandfather's lawyer. Quinn will have to spend two months working the front desk at the family's Hott Spot Spa and Salon. Oh, and he will have to live on the property in one of the cabins. Easy peasy.....if he can start a multibillion-dollar biotech company, he can work a front desk at a spa! ;)

Enter Sonya Rossi, manager of the spa. Sonya is bubbly, happy and the complete opposite to the grumpy, quiet Quinn. To make matters worse the only place Quinn can stay is in the cabin that Sonya lives in! In the beginning Sonya and Quinn are ready to wring each other's neck, but the more time they spend together the more their feelings start to change. Quinn finds himself doing things he never thought he would. As their 8 weeks together starts to wind down, Quinn starts to realize that he is starting to like being in Rush Creek again. When Quinn and Sonya think they are finally going to get their happy ending, ghosts from the past come rushing back in threatening everything. It will take a lot searching inside for both Quinn and Sonya but in the end they do get their happy ever after.

I just adored this opposites attract, forced living together story. Quinn was so fun being the nerdy guy. I also enjoyed Sonya's attitude in life. She was a true, loyal friend and daughter. Quinn and Sonya were just perfect for each other. I really enjoyed the little sneak into Shane's story and can't wait to read that one! Great start to this new series!

Hott Shot is a cute small town romance and the first book in the Hott Bothers series. It follows the story of Sonya, stylist and manager of the spa at Hott Springs Eternal and Quinn Hott, a wealthy scientist who finds himself as the spa´s receptionist following his grandfather’s death and subsequent crazy will.
I have read a couple of books in the Wilder Brothers series and they were cute. This one is just as cute, but a bit bland for me. The characters are pretty one dimensional and the chemistry and sexual tension is just OK. It was still a quick and fun read. It was definetly not action packed and the story is definetly predictable, which is fine sometimes, but in this case it made it a bit boring. I didn’t hate it but I doubt I will grab the next one in the series.
