This is a lovely book, with a great message all about the need to keep things tidy, but it also shows children that if a job seems too big, to do things one step at at time. My 4 and 6 year olds loved the colourful pictures and I found the rhyming flowed well. In particular my children liked to compare Max’s messy house at the beginning and his clean house at the end and flicked back and forth looking for differences.

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this free book

This book is perfect for a family to read to their kids at home as well as a teacher to read to an elementary level class. This book shows that it is ok when there is a mess but teachers them to clean up. Not it also makes cleaning up look fun. This book made me so happy when I read it.

I REALLY loved The Messiest Monster on Mill Street! It follows Max, a young monster, who never slows down to pick up after himself. I have was always a messy little kid, and I liked the way it was presented in Max without too much shame. It encouraged him to tame the mess, but didn't talk down to Max.

The illustrations are adorable, and I can definitely see kiddos loving the Mill Street monsters. Thanks to NetGalley, Sarah Sparks, and ViaNova Productions for the chance to read and review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Meet Max the messiest monster. He has piles of messes that come to life and attack him. This is a good book to introduce children to learning how to pick up after themselves. The illustrations and names of the messes will delight any child.

If monsters are this adorable, no kid would ever be afraid of any monsters below the bed.

Max might be messiest monster but he is fast learner too. He learns how to not make a mess around him and keep his surroundings clean.

This series is so good to read with young kids. They love that the monsters here are not scary at all.

Thank you very much Netgalley and ViaNova for ARC in exchange of an honest review.

Max is messy.
Max deserves to be loved.
The mess turns on against Max (what differentiates this book of similarly themed books; hence it’s not didactic).
Cute drawings.

A wonderful book! The illustrations are a lot of fun and the text is written in rhymes. The writing style reminds me of the Dr. Seuss books and were delightful to read. The story is simple and easy to understand: the monster is messy and leaves everything around. One day, his mess got so big that he got swallowed by it! He realized how gross the mess is and vows, never to let this happen again!

My kid is a messy one and this was a great way to start addressing the offshore and make him realize that he n he's to pick up after himself.

I loved the artwork in this book. The colors are bright and cheerful. And I loved that the story rhymed; that always makes it more enjoyable to read aloud as a parent. And the story itself was silly, so kids will enjoy it, but also helps teach a useful lesson.

This book was adorable! I loved the illustrations, and I can definitely relate with Max - the messiest monster. I get anxious when chores have piled up and seem daunting. This was such a cute story to show children and adults that as overwhelming as a task can seem, you can tackle it one step at a time,

Another cute Mill Street Monster book! Max struggling to stay tidy is a struggle that oh so many kids (and adults!) can relate to.

I loved the illustrations paired with short, rhyming lines of text. It acknowledged how frustrating the issue was for Max, and how he then overcame this struggle. It is perfect for parents or teachers to read and talk through with their own messy kids.

This book would have convinced me to keep a clean room as a kid.

The visuals, the storyline, the literal kid horror. Max was running for his life. This was so creatively written, and even though it was more "funny" than scary; it teaches children a valuable lesson about keeping their space clean through the "misfortune" of other. It showed a step by step process of how Max rectified the situation and his plans to prevent this in the future.

I would def keep a copy of this on hand for small children to learn the importance of cleaning up - proactively.

I volunteered to read a copy of this ARC through NetGalley.
