I have read better “fake dating” trope storylines. This one fell flat. The characters are two-dimensional, the MCs are pretty awful to each other when they don’t get their way or try to protect their own feelings, and everyone in the book needs a good dose of therapy. It got better as the book went on, but I’m talking over halfway through. If this weren’t for an ARC review, I probably would’ve DNF’d.

I loved A Cat Cafe Christmas and was excited to read this follow up featuring two supporting characters from it. This is a standalone so you don't need to have read ACCC but I'd recommend it b/c it's a really great read.

I went in with very high expectations and Finding Mr. Purrfect was a bit of a letdown. This book is all about the family drama to the point that the romance felt very overshadowed by it.

While I wasn't crazy about this book, I would read future books from this author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you, Forever (Grand Central Publishing).

A follow-up to A Cat Cafe Christmas, the best friends from the first book are the main characters fake dating in the second book. Charity and Will have differing opinions on relationships, but as they get to know each other better, can they compromise to make things work?

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Finding Mr. Purrfect to come out January 16, 2024.
