I love Max Lucado and I haven't read as many of his books but that will change now. It's an illustrated book on how even in despair, loneliness and sadness you are never truly alone. It's a reminder that God is omnipresent and a constant help in need. I needed to read this book and I think it should be required reading for everyone.

I did not expect this book to make me cry. It was absolutely beautiful both in story, and in illustration. This is a storybook that is both engaging, and leaves you excited to read it again.

Very religious verse, for a gift book designed to reassure a young reader of the parental love they're receiving. Parents would probably be better off thinking about how small the font here is, the appropriateness of the one-text-fits-all gift book premise, and just saying and proving the statement of love themselves. This looks wonderful, but it really wasn't one for me.

Lovely illustrations. And the message of the book is nice.
I almost wish there was a God-free version so I could gift it to my atheist friends when they have children. Most of the book after all is not about God but about the love that a parent has for their child.

This is a beautifully-illustrated, rhyming story with reassurance for when you feel alone. It contains valuable messages about God. Having him with us always is even better than having a loving parent, and yet he has also given us the people in our life who love us.

Max Lucado ‘s Just in Case You Ever Feel Alone is a story which reassures children that no matter what happens, they will never be alone. God will always be there for them. Told alone with beautiful illustrations of a bear family, this book will surely become a classic. I voluntarily read and reviewed this complimentary copy of this well-written, beautiful children’s book.

I was hoping to love this book--in fact, I already had it sitting in my Amazon cart to order for my kids as I read the advance copy. The illustrations are beautiful, and my kids and I usually love Max Lucado's stories, but this one just wasn't up to my expectation. I imagined the focus would be more on the fact that God is always with us, not that I (as mom) would be the one to make my child never feel alone. On top of that, I found several pages difficult to read, as I could not quite find the rhythm and it seemed to shift from one page to the next. My favorite part of the book were the last few pages, where the emphasis did shift to reminding a child that God is always with them--that's where I feel the real comfort lies, and it's what I would hope to teach my children! People may fail them, hurt them or leave them feeling alone, but the Lord will never leave them or forsake them!

My daughter really enjoyed the pictures, and I liked the message of the book. I felt that the illustrations told the message of the book very well.

Heartwarming, sweet and beautifully illustrated book to reassure your child that you and God will always be there for them when they are lonely or in trouble. The best is that all the text is in rhyme. So, if you read out loud enough times, it might be remembered forever by your child! And maybe even by you (We adults need reassurance too sometimes, don’t we?!)

The colours in this picture book are soothing and the details will invite your child to take a closer look on every spread.

Love this enough to give it a most heart-felt 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Such a sweet story with gentle, cozy illustrations. The message is so heartwarming, and if you like Lucado’s other children’s books, you’ll like this one too. A classic!

Thank you NetGalley and Tommy Nelson for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Beautiful! I'll always be there for you but more importantly God is always there for you. A great lesson to learn early in life.

Just in Case You Ever Feel Alone was very sweet. A simple story about a mommy/daddy bear (it’s left generic with no names) and baby bear. The big bear reassures their baby that they will always be there and that they are never actually alone. The illustrations were gorgeous and so soft and evoked a calming feeling in me.

There is reference to God and God always being with them too. I’m not religious and don’t tend to gravitate to those kind of books when reading to my kiddo, but I didn’t find it to much in this story and we enjoyed it.

I read it with my 2 year old and it was the perfect age for her.

A book that is really for anyone who feels somewhat distanced from a caring loved one, but aimed at young children and written by a noted pastor who is noted for understated presentations.
The book is delightfully illustrated in simple colors with comfortable and reassuring representations by Eve Tharlet.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school, church library, or your public library!
I requested and received a temporary electronic copy on Adobe Digital Editions from Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN'S/Tommy Nelson via NetGalley. Thank you!

As a mother of an anxious child this book is perfect. It is like a warm comforting hug of words that wrap around the reader. It’s perfect for a new parent or one of multiples juggling all the chaos. The listener knows they’re loved unconditionally by the reader and by God!

This is a lovely book that provides children with some much-needed assurance that they are never alone. That their parents and caregivers love some and are always thinking about them and ensuring their welfare. And that God is always looking down on them and looking after them.

It is natural for children to sometimes feel lonely and it is important that those feelings do not take a firm hold in those little souls. Frequent reassurance is always beneficial and the messages in this story will reinforce the support being given from the adults around them.

The art is beautiful and the soft tint to the illustrations perfectly complements the story. I think a lot of children - and probably a few adults too - would benefit from receiving a copy of this book! I loved it.

When little bear feels anxious, or worries, or any of the big (or little) feels, Caregiver bear reminds that Caregiver bear is there, in case you ever feel alone, and even better (in the author's biased opinion) so is God, always there. The illustrations are warm and show the caring. This would be a delightful gift for a young child.

The premise of Just in Case You Ever Feel Alone is very simple, yet the message it highlights is monumental. This heartwarming book reminds us that sometimes we just need to know how much someone cares. It is a reminder that someone is always there for you. The illustrations are top notch, as well. The soft colors chosen for the illustrations reflect a calm feeling.

In fact, I think this would be a great book not just for children, but for adults too. Let's face it, being an adult is tough and this would be a sweet pick-me-up gift.

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Publishers for the opportunity to read this book.
