This is a book that I started last fall and then I just wasn’t in the mood for any couple to get along. I was feeling a little salty so I didn’t like that they liked each other. I didn’t like that they were such a good match. I didn’t like that everything was working out for them, I didn’t want them to like each other. I wanted to be miserable like I was feeling miserable!!

But I went back in the first part of March and started this book over and I have to say this book is so much fun. I really did enjoy Christian and Megan. They are a good match. I loved their chemistry. I loved the Banter between them I loved the way that they learned to communicate. I think fake dating is the way to go. Maybe I should try that next time. 😂

This is the second book in a series that starts with Holiday Romance and it’s a perfect follow up book I did like Holliday Romance better, but I think that was totally a me thing because of where my headspace was by the time I finished in March I was completely head over heels for these two and I think you should grab it even if it’s not Christmas time when you see my review pick it up snuggle up with some hot cocoa or tea one night and just enjoy this fun relationship.

The narration was done by two different people, Roisin Rankin and Colin Gleason, and they both did a great job with accents and brining the emotions into the story!

This book is perfect if you are looking for
*fake dating
*runaway bride
*friends lovers
*road trip
*no third act break up
*holiday vibes
*dual POV
*small town in Ireland
*this is open door romance

I wanted to read a book by Catherine Walsh, so I was so happy that I was able to find this book on NetGalley. I am a Hallmark girly, I love cute, small-town romances, so this book seemed fun.
When I started the book, I liked it. The meeting between our main characters was fun, the chemistry worked between them. When the plot moved to the small town, it remained cute, but overall nothing happened. I felt like the characters interacted with their families more than with each other. There were a few cute scenes though, like the ball one, but overall the romance happened too quickly in my opinion. Also, I did not notice the climax in the book. They just suddenly came together officially and it finished. I felt that nothing happened in the book.
I was confused because I thought this was a standalone, and in the end, it turned out that it was the second book in a series. I felt sometimes that I missed some information, so I assume that this is the reason. This is just a "me" thing because somehow I missed that information (this book can be read as a standalone as a new couple is in the focus, but as I mentioned, I felt that I missed some information, so I don't recommend it).
Oh, yeah... Almost forgot it... The most annoying thing was the title. I really like the snowed-in trope, so I assumed that this book's main setting will be a cabin and the main characters will be snowed in... I wanted that from this book... And in the end, they were snowed in for a night... It was a few chapters and that's it... It does not make any sense to name the book like this, and I was so disappointed because of that.
Overall it was not a bad book, but I don't think that I will read anything else from her.

Megan and Christian grew up together. Megan is supposed to get married but decides that she doesn’t want to marry a man named Isaac so she runs away from her wedding and Christian pretends he sees nothing. Then after a few years they run into each other in a bar. She spills her red wine all over him. They both need to go home for Christmas and decide to fake date. They even come up with a contract that’s binding by the power of a napkin. Their fake dating relationship is super cute. This book has a lot of humor. It also has some spice, but it’s not over the top. I enjoyed this rom-com.
I felt like the whole story was great. I enjoyed the two narrators, they did a wonderful job telling the story. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for an ARC audiobook. This was the perfect book to listen to on this snowy day.

This heartwarming holiday romcom by Catherine Walsh is filled with protective siblings, overbearing parents, gossip galore, and a small town that either frowns on you, kisses your sweet arse, or simply suffocates you with their lovey duvey sweetness.

*fake dating
*opposites attract
*set in Ireland
*Christmas
*dual POV
*NO. THIRD. ACT. BREAKUP

At a Dublin pub, Megan, the village outcast who left Isaac at the altar, reunites with Christian, an old acquaintance from her small Irish town. Both dreading the holiday season for different reasons, they decide to be each other's fake dates to avoid family drama and pressure, complete with established rules and a signed contract for their charade.

Christian's charismatic nature wins over everyone he meets, but it's his vulnerability within his family that's truly heartwarming, tugging at your emotions, especially during his moments with his father. Megan, on the other hand, grapples with concealing her true self from the judgmental town, as her family remains unaware of the real reason behind her abrupt departure from Isaac at the altar. A heart-to-heart conversation with her mother brings intense emotions to the forefront, evoking a poignant* sniff sniff* moment.

And the romance? It's simply chef’s kiss perfect. Catherine delivered on her promise to "amp the spice," with sizzling couple scenes that took me by surprise. You'll adore Christian and Megan, as well as their endearing, silly siblings who are sure to bring a grin to your face. Narrators Roisin Rankin and Colm Gleeson were pure gold as Christian and Megan. I would definitely listen to audiobooks by them again.

This is my new favorite holiday romance 🥰 so funny, so feel good.

From the first few pages I was HOOKED and could not stop thinking about Megan and Christian! Runaway bride? Love it. Secret fake relationship with a handsome old acquaintance? Super love it!

I could use 10 more chapters of them being snowed in, or perhaps a follow up book on the rest of their lives. Adding the rest of Catherine Walsh’s books to my TBR list!!

I absolutely adored this book. The first one was Already great but this one was even better in my Opinion and I hope we get more Christmas Romances in this series.

If you are in search for a great romance read for Christmas, look no more.

Megan is dreading going home for Christmas since the last time she was home was when she left the town’s golden boy at the alter. Thankfully Christian is there to help her, as he springs the idea of them fake dating on Megan. We follow our two main characters as they grow closer and the lines between real and fake Blurr.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the E- arc in exchange for an review.

Short synopsis: After leaving her fiancé at the alter, Megan goes to live in Dublin. Four years later she runs into Christian, a guy from her hometown, at a pub and they decide to fake date to keep their parents off their backs during the holidays.

My thoughts: This was a sweet Christmas rom-com with some laugh out loud moments and cute banter. This was not an insta-love, so the reader gets to follow along as their feelings slowly progress.

I loved the emphasis on family, and the side characters added so much depth to the story. Now I need to go back and read Holiday Romance to get Andrew and Molly’s story!

I do wish the title “snowed in” made an appearance earlier in the story. I kept waiting for the forced proximity moment.

Read if you love:
- Fake dating
- Small town romance
- Irish settings
- No third act breakup
- His/her POV

I really enjoyed the accent of the narrators and how well they told the story together! I felt like I was really in Ireland!

4.5 stars - an almost perfect holiday romance! The writing, the lovable characters, lively families and interesting backstories - it’s all there. This is a fake dating trope done right, in a romance without the over-the-top corniness. Lovely through and through!
I listened to this on audio and appreciated the 2 different narrators.

Catherine Walsh never fails to add cheer to the holiday season with her witty, Christmas romcoms, and Snowed in was no different. I loved the setting - a small village in Ireland where everyone knows everything about everyone. Her characters are always so relatable and witty, and I find myself quickly rooting for their happily ever after.

Read if you like:
•books set in Ireland
•witty banter
•fake dating
•sunshine x grump
•dual pop
•open door romance

This is a really cute winter romance, which I loved listening to. The audiobook narrators were great, and they both did a good job.

The story is about Megan and Christian, and how their friendship leads to fake dating in order to keep their families off their backs when they are at home for the holidays. Megan was meant to marry Isaac when she was younger, but she left the wedding, and Christian seen it happening. A while later they met in a pub, and now they are getting close. Will they be able to get even closer and become more than friends and fake dating partners? You will have to read the book to find out!

I highly recommend this book, which is full of joy, humour, festivities, lovely scenery, adventure, cute characters, friendship, family and romance.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, but friends to lovers isn't one I find as entertaining, so I think that may have something to do with why I felt this fell flat for me in the end.

I adoooore this author and she’s definitely auto buy for me now! I will read anything she writes.

This was such a sweet holiday romcom with two totally relatable characters, fake dating scheming, swoony scenes and constant laughter. I did feel like the meat of the story took a bit to get to which made it harder to get really into the story right off the bat.

I highly recommend listening to this one!! There’s two narrators for the two MC POVs and they’re Irish!! I loved that the most

The tagline: A completely hilarious fake dating, forced proximity romantic comedy accurately sums up the plot of Catherine Walsh’s Snowed In. What it fails to convey though, is how incredibly funny and poignant and entertaining this novel is!

If you thought this trope is old hat, give Snowed In a try. Walsh puts a fresh spin on all of it, and deeply explores these interesting characters. I am thoroughly pleased, and will read anything this talented author writes in future!

The audio version is beautifully narrated by Roisin Rankin and Colm Gleeson.

Catherine Walsh is the queen of holiday rom coms!
I loved this story from beginning to end. Christian is complete book boyfriend material! Their relationship arc was unique and fun! Though I'm not a fan of the fake dating trope, this book hit the spot for me.

Megan is quirky, fun and nerdy. Christian falls hard in this romance and I adored the build of the relationship.

A great holiday read yet again. Catherine always delivers on the swoon.

Also, I loved the Andrew and Molly snippets in here!

My only complaint is that I struggled a little with the audio in the beginning.

3.5 Stars.
Overall, Snowed In was a sweet and swoony romcom with a little spice. In this story we've got old friends who fake date and fall in love for real. 'Snowed In' is a bit of a deceiving title, it didn't happen until about 75% in and only lasted a chapter or so..but that is just a minor criticism. While I enjoyed the overall story, it wasn't anything unexpected.. it's a cute read/listen to get you in the holiday romance mood!
The narrators did a fantastic job!

Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for this holiday ALC!

Review: 3.5/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Megan, the one who left her ex at the alter, and Christian the one who is tired of explaining why he is single on Christmas decide to team up to fake date in order to make this Holiday season more bearable.

This story is told from the POV of both Megan and Christian. I was super invested within the first page. I was all about this runaway bride, figured there would be a lot more to this story (yes you do eventually get the story, but after the initial first chapter it jumps into the fake dating discussion). The lead up to the fake dating was very realistic, figuring out the plan and all that, but the actual reasoning behind wanting to fake date, for Megan sure, but Christian's reasoning?? come on dude grow up.

This story really focuses on these two's navigation through the holidays, through family drama, through past relationship drama and a ton of miscommunication on how they feel about eachother. It's a simple and mostly clean romance (except for a few spicy scenes) read. Nothing bad but nothing to overly rave about either. Also, can I just complain for a second... The "snowed in" part of the book happens at like 70% or 80% and is literally only like a chapter long. Which really made me roll my eyes. Yes, the story overall is cute and gets you into the Holiday spirit, but its not anything I haven't read before.

I listened to this one via audiobook which was narrated by Roisin Rankin and Colm Gleeson. I feel like they did a great job at reall bringing these characters and the setting of the book to life for me. They held my attention and kept me interested throughout the story.
If your looking for a quick Holiday romance read - this one may be the one for you. Snowed in was released on 11/1 and is available on KindleUnlimited! Huge thank you to NetGalley, Catherine Walsh and Bookouture Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Five years ago, Meghan left her ex fiancée on her wedding day and skipped town. Now she has decided to return home for the first time since that dreadful day when she runs into her old friend Christian. Christian isn’t looking forward to going home either for his own reasons so they embark on a ‘fake’ relationship. This was a fun, lighthearted Christmas romp absolutely perfect for the festive season! I listened to this on audiobook and the narrators Roisin Rankin and Colm Gleeson were superb bringing Snowed In to life. If you’re looking for a gorgeous fun delightful Christmas read then look no further - Snowed In is the perfect choice. Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for my copy.

“I’ve been searching for something my whole life, and nothing’s ever clicked. And I think it’s because I was looking for you.”

you guys have no idea how long i've waited for this book, and let me tell you it was worth it. ever since christian was first introduced in holiday romance, i was hoping to read a book about him and miss walsh delivered!! so, after collecting my thoughts and listening to sabrina carpenter's new christmas ep, i'm here to write the glowing review this book deserves.

one thing about catherine walsh, is she will make you laugh until you cry, which is exactly what this book did in places. literally the perfect holiday romcom. i was so excited to read about molly and andrew again because they're some of my favourite characters from the catherine walsh literary universe (or the cwlu as i call it), and seeing their banter again reminded me how much i missed it.

christian and megan have so much chemistry and their story was perfectly paced with exactly the right amount of angst. megan is my baby and christian?? in a world of boys he's a gentleman??? he's up there with the other book boyfriends and i really really really hope we get a book about hannah too because i'm not ready to let go of this family just yet.

if you love small towns, holiday romcoms, fake dating or just perfection in general you'll love this book!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
