I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.

As a workbook, this is a very good resource for those who aren’t sure they are adulting. With assessments and checklists and tips, it also contains reminders that our adulting journeys are all different. I think this would with well with some additional resources.

I appreciate the effort put into this colorful and far-reaching workbook. Various sections such as finance and career management were what I expected in this assessment and guidebook for young adults. But the self-care and self-management sections might be just what certain young people need…. keeping a schedule, maintaining their living space, staying healthy- These are areas that might be overlooked by divergent thinkers or learners, or those battling depression. While the repetitive list pages and “Congratulate yourself!” messages may not appeal to every reader, the topics covered are bound to be helpful for many on the adulting journey.

This is a terrific workbook. I think it would be great for a new adult and a seasoned one like myself. This isn’t a sit down and work your way straight through. Take your time and work through. Really appreciate the work.

Part planner, part therapist, part wise older sibling, this workbook guides you through how to be the adultiest of adults. It brought up a lot of subjects that I need to be better with, while also making me feel like I really had my life together with other subjects. The only way to improve this book would be to hand out actual badges when I pay my taxes or make a doctor's appointment!

Great guide for kicking off a new mindset. For visual people who struggle with the first step of creating that to do list this will put you in the right direction.

This book had the vibe of those CBT workbooks you get when your going through therapy.

There was ample of activities to partake in while reading the book and the information was really well laid out.

The layout was inkeeping with the title of the book. It really was more of a workbook than a book book. It was more focused on the activities than providing a tonne of information. Which was great because you could really get bogged down with too much information.

It was a bit overwhelming at first with all of the activities and blanks, but it was really well done! It was definitely a helpful read, and I really enjoyed it. All the activities and whatnot helped keep me engaged and active while reading it. I felt the language the book used was clear and concise which made it easy to follow along with.

Good boost for adults. Some great self assessment tools for many areas of your life. Maybe good to dip in and out of to help with self help and great advice for through out the year

Very timely workbook to support Adulting. The pages are vibrant and ask thought provoking questions that supports adulting in a non judgemental way.

This is an activity book on how to be a proper adult. From paying your bills to getting your priorities straight, it has all the tips to make you a successful adult.

This book has a lot of information regarding more aspects of the adult life, but some of them are in my opinion, common sense.
You get to think about the root cause of some issues you might face as an adult while answering the various questions, while learning about how to handle different situations.
It covers health (both physical and mental), finances, jobs, house related stuff and relationships in a fun way, giving various challenges and trackers to help you with this self-growth journey.
All in all, it can be a great book if you are really lost or a fun gift for a young adult, but as I said, some things are either common sense or stuff you'll find really easy with a single search, but there are also some in depth questions (or advice) that make you really think about how you handle life

I like the idea of this book. It contains lots of practical tips. It would have been nice if the 'badges' had something more like clauses that could be worked on, rather than just a general concept.

This workbook would be suitable to use in a senior high school class. It feels very much like a text book and not the type of book a young adult would read and work through for fun.

This is perfect for seniors in high school and those early in their college/career path. While the organization feels a little scattered, the reflection, tracking, and tidbits of advice are all useful in helping young people develop necessary “adulting” skills. I teach a senior level life skills math class and will absolutely be recommending this to them upon graduation.

A colorful self-help therapy book, which will help to assess on where you are in different areas of your life.

It includes such tools as healthy habit, mindful eating, mood, expence trackers, self-assesment questions.

Young adults will benefit from this book.

They need adulting classes in high school and this should be a required book! It’s cute. Basic concept but I love the questions and spreadsheets. I will be buying a journal to be able to write and answer. Really cute concept that can definitely be helpful in the end.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. This book has loads of tips and ideas for adulting. I think as a kid; we thought adults knew everything and were on top of it. But turns out, they don’t. Adults are trying to figure out life along the way. As a kid, we’re in a hurry to grow up but when we do; we realized it’s not that great since now you don’t have much free time and you’ve got bills to pay.

This workbook felt too scattered because it tries being too many things at once; the relationship section felt like a self-help therapy book while the finance section feels more instructional.
There’s also an implicit guilt tripping with checklists re: what’s a baseline for being an adult (e.g. cooking a meal or dressing), ignoring the fact that folks with depression often aren’t able to do tasks like that.

There were some good journal prompts in here, but overall I’d recommend a book that’s tailored to the specific need you have - not a vague sense of “here’s everything every adult should know,” which is highly subjective.

“The Adulting Workbook” by Elsie Wild is full of super useful information. From habit trackers, reflection props, checklists, goals, food trackers, healthy lifestyle info, exercising reflections, mood trackers, selfcare info, finance help, budgets, career goals, home to do’s, help on need to know when buying a home, chores, relationship advice, ideas of how to meet new people, relationship care, and dealing with loneliness this workbook has everything you might need to be an adult. I wished I knew a bunch of this info years earlier and is great for people who have been an adult for “a while” or young adults. 4 out of 5 stars, a must read for every person.
