I'm sad to say I could not get into the story this time. I there were parts that grabbed my interest enough to want to finish the book, but it wasn't my favorite.

This was a really well done noir novel. I enjoyed the country elements and that this whole thing started with someone's paroled cousin. I get when family dysfunction happens and abuse you kind of go with the flow. The characters felt like real people and I could understand what was happening. The story worked really well and I really felt for the characters. Aneta Miller has a great writing style and I enjoyed what I read.

This was a quick little read which was fairly propulsive. I wished the big event was more flushed out because I felt a little disappointed with the ending.

I Never Do This
A Novel
by Anesa Miller
Description
“I will tell all in full truth and will hold nothing back to protect myself from the eyes of the law...I’m the only one who can tell it all.”
In country noir style, we hear the unforgettable voice of a young woman, LaDene Faye Howell, who finds herself in police custody recounting her story after her paroled cousin Bobbie Frank appears and engages her in a crime spree.
This was a pretty good book. It lagged a bit in place. I was rooting for her, not Bobbie Frank.
