My toddler loved Rollo the Robot. Super cute story with good pictures to keep kids engaged. Good read aloud.

This is an adorable Robot themed story having conflicts with building friendships with others. I think the overall story is lacking though, due to some choppiness (which could be entirely due to me missing a page while swiping who knows) but the art is gorgeous and the ideas are there, just execution may be lacking. (I still think it can be used for my students with some supplementary instruction) Because of these points, I have to give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Nice book about kindness. My lo liked the illustrations and was interested to know the end of the story. A nice way to represent how much strength is hidden in our kind gestures.

I recommend it to parents, teachers and librarians.

Sweet book with cute pictures. I feel this would be a good book for those still adjusting to socialization after COVID or just shy kids. If I had a shy child I would introduce them to acts of kindness as demonstrated in this book.

Robot Rollo is a sad, shy robot. He never plays with other robots at school. One day he meets an injured bird who teaches him the importance of kindness. Rollo and the bird travel around their town performing many acts of kindness and making friends in the process. They then create a Kindness Board where other robots can display their acts of kindness. The illustrations in this book are pretty and the theme is an important one. I think it is a bit too “happy”. I would have liked to see the board of robots’ asking for help instead of posting their actions. Overall it is a cute book for preschoolers. Robot Rollo and the magic of kindness shows young readers the importance of showing kindness to everyone around you. Robot Rollo helps a little bird that turns out to be his friend and they embark on a journey to spread kindness to those around them.

An important book for young readers: showing empathy to everyone around you can help make the world a better place. Hopefully, this book will be a great way to teach young readers this message of kindness. We definitely need it.
