This was a fantastic little book. Such encouraging words. I enjoy Max Lucado's writings, so I wasn't disappointed in this little book. The thoughts included scripture to enhance the given thought for the day. I can imagine this would be a wonderful gift for the moms in your lives.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this lovely book. This is my honest review.

Grace for the Moment for Moms
by Max Lucado
Whooops! I let the publication date of this book slip by me, and I could no longer access it as an ARC (Advance Reader Copy). I do so love the encouragement and insights that Lucado offers in his books. Therefore, I obtained an audio copy from my library. Audio is not my favorite way of enjoying books, but this one was clear and easy to follow. I listened to it without pauses on my daily dog walks and even while I was staining my deck. In fact, I listened to it two times before I returned it. I was surprised that it is not read by Max Lucado, but about 15 minutes in, I found that Ben Holland has a great voice for this book. Grace for the Moment for Moms is intended for moms. Even though I have had an empty nest for a long time, I still enjoyed and was inspired by the contents of each of the 50 devotionals. They are brief, but powerful, and continually reaffirm God’s love. A busy mom could find the time to slip one of these devotionals into her day.
I pictured in my mind how the book might be designed (white space, organization, etc.). I looked at a sample online and it was put together as I had imagined except lovelier. It contains a little message which is clearly written by Lucado, a sentence of inspiration and affirmation, and Scriptures that perfectly match with the teaching.
I recommend either the audio book or the hardback version. The latter would make a great gift for a special mom you know. Or buy a copy for yourself—you’ll be glad you did.

Notes: Beautiful, thoughtful gift
Publication: March 12, 2024—Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Gift
Memorable Lines:
The next time a sunrise steals your breath or a meadow of flowers leaves you speechless, remain that way. Say nothing and listen as heaven whispers, “Do you like it? I did it just for you.”
“My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you.” II Corinthians 12:9

This is a nice devotional , specifically for moms who are wanting a light and quick read each day. It’s nothing profound or studious, but more like a “moment” of grounding in the midst of your day. The pages are beautiful and this would make a nice gift for Mother’s Day.
Thanks to NetGalley, Thomas Nelson, and Zondervan Gift for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

What a wonderful and beautiful devotional by Max Lucado! The messages are the perfect size, and they are so encouraging and moving! They always speak to my mama heart. There is some scripture included after every message and there are also some pages for your prayers, too. The floral designs in this book are gorgeous and so eye-catching. It really is a lovely and beautiful book and will make the perfect Mother's Day gift. I am going to be buying a few copies to gift to some important moms in my life this year!

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC! I love Max Lucado. He is always imparting so much wisdome. I love that he did this devotional for women. I would highly recommend anything from this author

What a wonderful selection of devotions Intended for moms. Each of the 50 short devotions are supported by Scripture verses related to the topic. These topics include love, God's love, children, forgiveness, being a mother and a woman, prayer, and more. Frequently, there is a "thought for the day" as well. Each page is interlaced with drawing of beautiful spring like flowers along the borders. Just beautiful! This delightful collection reinforces just why this author is my favorite Christian writer. Although this volume is geared for mothers, it would made a lovely gift for any woman.

Grace For The Moment For Mom’s
Max Lucado
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars
Going into this one, I knew it had to be fantastic, because it was written by Max Lucado. It absolutely was, but it was so much more!
This was a 50 day devotional for moms. Each day started with with a short message, and a few Bible verses relating to the message. There was space, for you to write your prayers. The graphics in this devotional were so eye-catching. The colors were vivid and absolutely beautiful.
I cannot wait to buy this one for all the moms in my life. It would be a perfect gift for any Mom for any occasion.

I always enjoy and like devotionals. This is perfect for busy moms.
The devotionals are short and simple, which will be appreciated many moms.
I really like the space to be able to journal so users can use it as a daily prompt and loved the floral theme.
Thank you Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Gift and Netgalley for the ARC of this book.

Definitely a helpful way to find a little peace in the day to day life of being a mom. It’s super important to find things that can help us reflect on things as a parent and help find clarity in the job we have to complete.

This is such a good set of devotionals for moms. The text is accessible for any reader, including people perhaps newer to following Jesus. The devotionals are also short, which at least for my stage of motherhood with a baby and a toddler, is much appreciated. I also appreciate the space to journal prayers. Finally, the selection of verses for each devotion are short and impactful; it was easy for me to remember one throughout the day.
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this devotional book. I have read other of Max Lucado's books ("Anxious for Nothing" was one I enjoyed a LOT), although not one in this format style of "Grace for the Moment" short devotionals. While I absolutely understand that the format of this style of devotional necessitates brevity, I was a little disappointed by the lack of depth and occasional fluffiness and juvenile language that was used to discuss important spiritual concepts or themes. In the book's description, the word "inspirational" is used multiple times, and I think that's definitely more the book's aim than to teach or build up spiritual insight. So if that is what you are looking for (a brief inspirational paragraph on God's love for you), you'll likely get it, but I was hoping for more depth and substance since that is what would actually encourage me in my motherhood. The book's artwork was aesthetically pleasing, although I didn't love the font used on the illustration pages.

This book is the perfect fit for busy moms. Packed with verses to ponder, this devotional is a welcome companion in chaotic days of motherhood. Motherhood is a tough life, but the author brings in perspective God’s love and plan for every mom.
Thumbs up for the floral theme and the collection of verses at each day.
