This is fiction. I wasn't sure when I first checked it out. Most of the book is likely to be misleading to the general reader, as it's not strictly about UFOs or encounters. This is a story about one man's experience over the course of his life, including his fascination with the unknown and his attempts to understand it. Had this book been marketed differently, I would have approached it from a more understanding angle. However, I found myself frustrated by the constant references to drugs and music. It redeems itself slightly at the end, wrapping up a bit of the protagonist's experience, but overall I found the book to be very "out there", and not in the way I was looking forward to.

While I'm used to reading a lot of UFO books and other paranormal nonfiction titles this one was very different from all the others and I didn't really see that as much of a positive.

For All We Know ended up being a really compelling book. The structure is sort of a coming of age and beyond story told in the first person point of view of the main character, Matteo. Each chapter is from a different point in his life as he ages from being a teenager to middle age, exploring his interests in UFOs, spirituality, and philosophy.
