This was my first Lucy Score read and it was enjoyable. I had not read the other stories in this series and I didn't feel that it was required. I'm sure it would have heightened my experience, but I was still able to read this as a standalone just fine. These MC's haven't been my favorite of stories that I have read recently; I felt they both had equally likable and unlikable pieces. Overall, this was a good balance of rom-com and mystery.

The Blast from the Past is a brilliantly nostalgic and heartfelt journey that captures the magic of reconnecting with old memories and people. The story is filled with warmth, humor, and just the right amount of drama, making it easy to get lost in. The characters feel real and relatable, pulling you into a narrative that’s both touching and full of surprises. For anyone who enjoys a story about second chances and the power of revisiting the past, The Blast from the Past is a truly rewarding read.

I am a Lucy score STAN! I love all of her books that I read. This book has such fun characters. I really enjoy the group of elderly people, I loved how nosy they were and could always count on them for a good laugh. Nicks character has so much development throughout the series & I love seeing his and Riley’s relationship. I love love love the mystery components in this series. My one complaint is the audacity griffin had in this book. Overall, 4/5 stars, I would love to see a book focusing on Jasmine and Weber.

Lucy Score is a relatively new to me author but she has quickly moved onto my auto-buy list. Her writing style is so engaging and her characters are always so funny and lovable. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Thank you for this ARC. Unfortunately, I lost interest in the series in book 2 so I will not be reading this one at this time. I really appreciate you gifting me this ARC. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Not my favorite of the series so far, but it did answer some questions. The fun thing about this series is that it's unpredictable. You want to approach it like a regular mystery but that doesn't work. There's that psychic element and all the cooky characters that throw the investigation into disarray. And the romance piece that pops up and makes you smile. There's always some crazy connections happening as the case is wrapping up that I never saw coming. I love these for a light, fun, unpredictable adventure. Also, someone needs to put a monitor on Mrs. Penny. That woman is a menace to society.

Lucy Score can do no wrong with this series. She is fun and keeps the drama and mystery coming. Blast from the Past is no exception and the twist will have your jaw on the floor.

First of all, I love all things Lucy Score. Second, Riley Thorn is the best character Lucy Score has ever created. From Her P.I. boyfriend to the crazy ensemble of characters living in her building, I love it all. There's not a single book in this series I haven't laughed out loud about. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This book made me so mad. The way Nick suddenly changed who he was because he was so obsessed with finding Beth - and the way he like tosses Riley aside and continues to be an ass to her once Sesame (formerly Beth) shows up. I WAS FUMING. Like, the feelings it gave me were so strong I almost DNF’d it.

But I’m me and can’t ever DNF a book, so I held out and he’s slightly forgiven.

In books one and two, it’s brought up how Nick’s previous partner, Kellan’s, sister disappeared after a case they worked on together and the disappearance really took a toll on their friendship. And after a vision that was had at the end of book 2, where it’s said that she’s not dead, Nick cancels life basically to put on a search for Beth.

Like all the other Riley Thorn books, the side characters are literally everything. I don’t think they’d be the same without them because they’re just so spot on.

This book was by far my favorite of the series so far !! It was funny, mysterious, had a great level of spice and romance and kept me on my toes!! I can’t wait to read the next book but at the same time am sad for this story to come to an end.

Absolutely loved this book! This is book 3 of the Riley Thorn series, and I feel like each book has gotten even more fantastic. Riley is quirky and fun, and rhe chaos that ensues is pure brilliance. Lucy Score is a true writing goddess - I highly recommend this one to anyone, whether they be a fan or not! Can't wait to read book 4.

I never have much to say about the books in a series. If I'm still reading them I love them, and this is no exception!
It's such a good and fun series! I'm excited to get to the next one!

This was a great read! I would recommend it to a friend. I loved it! Five stars. This book is a captivating exploration of human emotions and relationships. The narrative unfolds through the lives of richly developed characters, each facing unique challenges and growth. The author’s prose is both lyrical and engaging, drawing readers into the story with vivid imagery and relatable experiences.

For fans of Elle Cosimano and Janet Evanovich, this series reads like something that you should be watching on tv. You’ll love all of the quirky characters and be on the edge of your seat with wanting more.

Really enjoyed this book- I’ve loved Lucy’s other books and this one didn’t disappoint. Great characters, great plot and I could easily have read it in one sitting.

The Blast from the Past finds our favorite PI couple working through some growing pains. Things have been pretty fast-tracked since Nick and Riley first got together. They moved in together; they started working together; and now they own a home together with a laundry list of much needed repairs.

But since the big revelation at the end of The Corpse in the Closet, Nick has been obsessed with a former cold case, and Riley has been left to manage the house and their wayward neighbors / former housemates while Brian and Josie wait and wait and wait for Nick to accept new cases.

When new characters enter the scene, they bring trouble to Nick and Riley’s doorstep, and her powers start misfiring.

This one is still fun, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first two. I wasn’t as big of a fan of the clients in this book or of the strain they brought to Riley and Nick’s relationship.

We do get some absolutely delicious Kellen and Jasmine moments, though. I can’t wait to see their antagonists-to-lovers story arc come to a head.

And, of course, there are still plenty of moments that had me cackling out loud.

I received a copy of the ebook from Bloom Books. All review opinions are my own.

When Nick finds himself obsessing over a cold case he can't forget, Riley is on her own to figure out her wayward powers, her new house guests and their secrets and the mystery behind the threatening finger delivered to her new house.

I am loving this series, Still Loving the dynamic between Nick, Riley and the eclectic - elderly neighbours.

Desperately waiting for the love connection that anyone who has read these books knows is coming!
Cant wait for the next book!

This book was funnier than the last and enjoyable. This book reminded me of watching a sitcom and I couldn't get enough. I love all of the characters and their quirks.
