It seems a some one is clearly after PI Anna after a few attempts at her life. When she ends up running into the guy she spent one night with and ended up pregnant. Its clear that person isn't done trying to get at her so they will do everything the can to figure out who the person is and bring them to justice before any harm comes to the mother to be.

I really enjoyed this book and following along. There was so much going on that I had a hard time putting this book down. I liked the connection between the two clearly they still had a thing for one another when they ran into eachother after that one night fling. Then there the whole mystery suspense of it all wondering when the person would strike next and wondering why they were out to get her. Overall pretty good book I enjoyed it.

Terrific combination of romance and suspense. Anna is the youngest of the six Hudson siblings and a private investigator like the others. She occasionally helps with the family's cold case investigations but primarily works for another firm. As the book opens, she is injured during one of her investigations caught in a deliberately set fire.

The arson investigator assigned to the case is Hawk Steele, the man she had a one-night stand with a few months earlier. She has been putting off telling him that she is pregnant, but the cat is now out of the bag. Hawk, a loner by choice, is stunned but determined to be a father to his child.

Neither has forgotten the night they spent together. Hawk wants marriage, but Anna will only marry for love. With Anna in danger, Hawk's protective instincts are aroused, and he is determined to keep her safe. As they investigate the fire and subsequent attacks on Anna, the feelings between them strengthen.

I enjoyed watching loner Hawk deal with the Hudson family, their closeness, and their involvement in each other's lives. The scene with Mary and the puppy was hilarious.

The suspense of the story was fantastic. I was glued to the pages as the attacks on Anna intensified, and the entire family and Hawk searched past cases to see who might be behind the attacks. The twists and turns were incredible. The final confrontation was a nail-biter and had me on the edge of my seat until it was over. I especially enjoyed Anna's part.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I'd like to know if they find out what happened to their parents.

Cold Case Investigation is the latest release by Nicole Helm. I loved reading Anna and Hawk’s story and can’t wait for more. I loved the fact that Anna is a strong and independent woman, but knows when to accept help. I love that all the Hudson siblings are so close. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes romance. This story has a little bit of everything. It has an unexpected pregnancy, close knit family, danger lurking around every corner, and last but not least a sweet romance.

Cold Case Investigation by Nicole Helm, book three in the Hudson Sibling Solutions series, is an enjoyable, edge of your seat romantic suspense. The romance between Anna and Hawk is sweet and funny, passionate and honest; a fun romance with edge-of-your-seat suspense

As the baby of the family, Anna Hudson has followed in her sibling’s investigative footsteps; making a name for herself as a private investigator. One memorable and passionate night, has the story beginning off with a little surprise that came with her night of fun. Anna doesn't think there's anything more between her and Hawk, despite the positive pregnancy test she's trying to keep quiet as long as she can. Her denial works until she's attacked and her hotel room is set on fire, bringing in Hawk as the fire investigator. While she's in the hospital Hawk and her whole family learn her secret. Hawk not only has to find out who is targeting Anna and why, but he also has to make sure that she understands he's not going to be a disappearing father like his own was. Even if Anna doesn't want a relationship, she's going to have to find enough common ground for them to co-parent their baby.

The sibling interactions in this book play a major role, especially Mary and how she steamrolled right over Hawk's objections with puppy Pita. It was amazing watching Hawk come out of his loner status, learning to believe in his worth as a member of a larger family. There's tremendous emotional depth to these characters, which was enjoyable.

The case's resolution brought a bit of a surprise twist, one that worked even without understanding why it took so long for the antagonist to launch an attack. Hawk and Anna's HEA was perfect, with a solid slice of justice and all the happiness tied up in a bow.

Good solid read that provided mystery, suspense and romance. I have not read the previous 2 books and I was not lost though they are interconnected. A family of PI's for cold cases! What's not to love! Anna the youngest is the most stubborn pushing everyone's buttons and finds herself in the family way. She has to tell the daddy and while procrastinating goes on a case. It is non stop action after that, with twists, surprises and HEA. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #C0ldCaseInvestigation #HudsonSiblingSolutions #NicoleHelm #HarlequinIntrigue #NetGalley

Anna Hudson, a private investigator with her family's firm, checks into a motel for a case and awakens to a room ablaze. Subsequently, she suffers a head injury and finds herself in a hospital. Three months prior, Anna had a one-night encounter with Hawk Steele and is now expecting his child, a fact she has yet to disclose. However, Hawk's presence in her hospital room reveals the secret. The Hudson's, long-time proprietors of a PI agency, realize Anna is the target after a second attempt on her life. Hawk, serving as the local fire inspector and probing the blazes, decides to join the Hudson's at their ranch to unravel the attempts on Anna's life.
I just love a good romantic suspense book.

Cold Case Investigation by Nicole Helm is an entertaining romantic suspense. Cold Case Investigation is the third book in the Hudson Sibling Solutions series. It can be read as a standalone, but reading the series in order allows you to get to know the Hudson siblings and the other characters. Cold Case Investigation is my favorite book in the series. I enjoyed getting to know Anna Hudson better. Hawk Steele is a loner, but that will not work if he is going to be involved with Anna. I like how the Hudson siblings watch out for each other (a protective group of siblings). There is a scene with Mary, Hawke, and a puppy that had me laughing. Mary was not taking no for an answer. The characters are developed, and they have emotional depth. The mystery was full of action and suspense. I loved all the twists, turns, and drama. Cold Case Investigation had me staying up late to find out the resolution.

This was a fast pace romantic suspense! Lots of action and trying hard to figure out who the perpetrator causing the fires and attacks against Anna. The story is a part of a series following the Hudson siblings with this book being the third, but it is not necessary to have read the previous ones in order to fully enjoy this one. Although having read and enjoying this one, I do plan to read the previous ones to familiarize myself more with the family and their history that were shared in previous books. Having to depend on each other due to their parents disappearance many years ago, I love how the siblings truly have each other's backs and you see the evidence of their unity throughout this book. I definitely will keep an eye on this series as it continues as I hope we get answers about their parents in the books to come.

Anna, the baby of the family, has always gone by the beat of her own drum. As a private investigator, she has had her share of unpleasantries and cons of her job. She is very dedicated to her job, but one memorable and passionate night, has the story beginning off with a little surprise that came with her night of fun. She had been in denial about it and so the father of the child has not been made aware. Hawk, an arson investigator, is brought back into Anna's life when a fire occurs in the motel room she’s staying at as an attempt on her life , and he is called to the scene to investigate. It was at that moment in the hospital to follow up with her, he discovers Anna with child, and the child being his. He comes from loss and abandonment and always had in his mind that he would be a loner and definitely not looking for attachments or love. However, he still is very much drawn to Anna, and desires to do right by his child that he did not have growing up with a single mother.

The story is clean.....has plenty of action -- attempts on her life -- as well as trying to solve who is after her. The author does well in allowing readers to see that they have great chemistry. Physical chemistry between the two is more implied rather than described, but you do get bits of passion and desire. But you do see the emotional journey for them as they navigate this high stress situation and discover that they really do come to care and love one another.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin - Romance | Harlequin Intrigue for an advance copy of this book. All my thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Hawk’s past created his loner type behavior and the Hudson family scares him with their family dynamic. Anna comes along as the no nonsense type and throws Hawk for a loop. A baby now on the way and her life in danger forces Hawks protective instincts to kick in and with a baby on the way he will do anything to protect his family.

Loved this read and the ending was totally unexpected. This was a great read and I would definitely read more by this author. My only critique is that we didn’t get a glimpse a little further into their future in the end.

This may be the third in a series, but it is not necessary to have read the previous ones in order to fully enjoy this one. I did read the first, but not the second. The main characters of the first book are barely mentioned. I didn't even think about being familiar with the family. An exciting and quick moving romantic suspense. No intimate details for which I am grateful. Pleasant, clean reading. A dog and young girl add some heart to the tale. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary. I do want to read the second book and any that follow.

if you want something easy and quick to read then great, this book is for you. but i didn’t particularly enjoy it. i had trouble connecting with any of the characters, neither the romance or the ‘mystery’ held my attention, and to top it all off the copy was badly formatted in multiple places. i did enjoy pita the dog though, i’ll give the book that much.

In this contemporary suspense romance the author takes the readers back to Wyoming and the Hudson siblings. I read book 1 and missed book 2, but for new readers, rest assure that it reads like a stand alone.
The Hudson siblings’ parents disappeared years ago never to be found. Jack the oldest, nowadays a sheriff, took care of them . From their experience, they formed a cold case investigation company called Hudson Sibling Solutions, though the youngest, Anna, currently working as a PI for an independent company.
Little did Anna know that a one stand night, with a handsome stranger, would lead to a pregnancy.
When a fire occurs in the motel room she’s staying at, she discovers that the baby’s father is arson investigator Hawk Steele. A man that is not looking for attachments or love. But still is very much drawn to Anna.
Fate brings them together and as the threats to Anna’s life increase, so do the feelings between these two.
Will they find the person who wants Anna dead before it’s too late? Will these two find their HEA or will each go their own way?
It was an action packed suspense romance that will have readers guessing the whodunit and why.
The plot was engaging and the main characters likable and strong.
A great addition to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Harlequin. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

A good quick romance. This is book three in the series and while you can read this one without giving away any of the previous plots, I felt like it was a richer storyline for having read the first two. The story is about the youngest sister, Anna, in a family of siblings whose parents went missing more than a decade before. From that pain, they have created an investigative business to research other cold cases and help other families like theirs. Anna has made some decisions in her past that are catching up with her, but when she finds herself under attack, one of those decisions, in the form of the hot arson investigator she had a one night stand with, shows up to help. It is a good story with rich characters and I am looking forward to the next in the series. Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Books for the advanced copy.

Cold Case Investigation is the 3rd in the series of criminal romance. I have not read the previous 2 books, and did not feel like I HAD to thanks to the author giving you a run down of the characters at the beginning.

We meet Anna, who almost dies in a fire, and the fire inspector Hawk. As their story twists and turns we get to see so much of the other characters, their relationships and the story setting in Wyoming. The author does a phenomenal job of keeping the reader engaged and guessing until the end. Bravo!

Thank you to the author, Publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

A fun romance with edge-of-your-seat suspense

After a memorable one-night-stand several months ago, Anna and Hawk have no reason to cross paths, except when he investigated a fire that involved her best friend. Still, Anna doesn't think there's anything more there, despite the positive pregnancy test that she's trying to keep quiet as long as she can. That works until she's attacked and her hotel room is set on fire, bringing in Hawk as the fire investigator and her whole family learning her secret while she's in the hospital.

Now, Hawk not only has to find out who is targeting Anna and why, but he also has to make sure that she understands he's not going to be a disappearing father like his own was. Even if she doesn't want a relationship, she's going to have to find enough common ground for them to co-parent their baby.

I loved the sibling interactions in this book, especially Mary's role and how she steamrolled right over Hawk's objections with Pita. I really enjoyed watching Hawk come out of his loner status, learning to believe in his worth as a member of a larger family. There's tremendous emotional depth to these characters, and I loved every bit of it.

The case's resolution brought a bit of a surprise twist, one that worked even without understanding why it took so long for the antagonist to launch an attack. Hawk and Anna's HEA was perfect, with a solid slice of justice and all the happiness tied up in a bow. I could not have loved this book more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Cold Case Investigation is book three in the Hudson Sibling Solutions series. I loved the first two but I have to say, I have a new favorite couple in Anna and Hawk. As the baby of the family, Anna Hudson has followed in their investigative footsteps and made a name for herself as a PI. When she discovers she's pregnant, she knows exactly who the father is. A one night stand with Hawk, an arson investigator, but they're both more than a little taken with each other after that one night.

Then someone attacks Anna, and Hawk is face to face with her again to solve her case only to be told he's going to be a father. That was one thing he never had, and he insists they get married. Anna being Anna, has to plan to show him why that's not a good idea.

In the midst of all this is the person trying to kill Anna. They have no leads and no idea who it could be, but whoever is pulling the strings behind the scenes has a very real vendetta against Anna. The siblings always take care of each other, and this time it is no different, but can they find this person before more damage is done to the Hudson family?

If you're reading this series you will love seeing all the familiar faces, but if you are new to the series, you don't need to read book one and two to understand this one. The romance between Anna and Hawk is sweet and funny, passionate and honest, making their love story one of my favorites from this author. Another great read from Nicole Helm! I can't wait for the next installment in the series!

Cold Case Investigation
Cold case investigator Anna Hudson wakes up in a hospital room after being rescued from a fire in her motel room that was purposely set. Standing over her bed is a familiar face. The father of her unborn child after a one-night stand. He just happens to be the fire inspector inspecting the incident she was involved in. Suddenly Anna finds her life is under his control as he does everything possible to protect her including her from working as an investigator until the case is solved. They frantically search through her cold case files to determine whether someone was seeking revenge on her. The attacks on Anna continue and soon after both her truck and office are set on fire her entire family is threatened. The story is loaded with twists and turns and edge of the seat drama, all that leads to an unbelievable ending.

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Hudson Sibling Solutions series. I have read the first book in this series before picking up this book, but I do think you can read this book as a standalone without any problems. I love how close all the Hudson siblings are, but I could not live with my brother and sister like they do. I think Anna and Hawk are cute together, and I love how Anna fought how she felt. The mystery/suspense was a little weird, but the ending was full of action. I really enjoyed reading this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

I felt like this was a well written book. Not the BEST by any means, but it’s a great read to pass the time, it doesn’t take too much brain power to read, it’s a good read for someone who just wants to read and not think too hard for a while.

After PI Anna Hudson almost lost her life in a fire, she wakes up to a familiar stranger Hawk Steele! They once shared a passionate one night stand and Anna ends up pregnant! Her ranch has always come first now she has a unborn baby to protect! Hawk vows to help her along the way! As they investigate some cold cases they expose a family history with a killer out for revenge for past sins that could steal their future! I thought this book might be a romantic fluff type book but boy I was wrong! It was a great read! There was suspense, intrigue, action packed, mystery, murder, and a few crazy twists and turns! The storyline was interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
