Our Home is a great book to introduce children to chores. I appreciate that the author demonstrated the many different ways someone could make their home better and show their family love that are both big and small.

Our Home is a lovely rhyming book about all the ways that families are different, but also how we are all the same. It's a good book to use for students to make connections to others and their own lives.

A great little story about how there are a million and one different ways to have a family but we’re all so similar in so many ways. The showcasing of diverse families and the intentionality with which labor is divided was great to see.

Our Home by Lori Sugarman-Li is a great children's book that focuses on family, the joy of being at home, and the importance of all of the tasks it takes to keep a home running. It also encourages children to get involved in chores and that they can even be fun! I would recommend this book to everyone with little children that you want to teach about taking pride in where you live, how to keep the house running, and that family makes home special!

Our Home by Lori Sugarman-Li is a cute children’s story.
The book shows how families come in so many different styles and shapes, living in different environments and house styles, but we all have the same needs and desires. The book is heartwarming and sweet, showing how we are all different, but also the same. The book is a quick easy read that captivates and holds little one’s attention.
The illustrations are bright and fun. Maria Perera does a great job creating fun heartwarming drawings that bring joy to the reader. Her drawings are extremely detailed, capturing omens and experiences.

I did not know how the author would incorporate chores and the appreciation of keeping a house clean! I read this with my kids and they were motivated lol. This was a bit long, but very colorful.

A lovely way to show how chores fit into a family and different ways a child can help depending on what they are capable of. The rhymes were lovely and the illustrations were perfect. Everyone’s home is different, but also in some ways the same.

This book is the CUTEST! I absolutely love the message and the illustrations. It's decently inclusive in the illustrations which is always great to see. I also love that it teaches kids about being grateful for all of the behind the scenes things that go along with running a household and making it a home as well as different things that they can do to help.

This book made me so happy!!

The rhymes felt unique and almost effortless, which is always great when you have rhyming the whole way through. It really helped the story to flow nicely and nearly felt like a song.

The pictures!! The pictures were absolutely beautiful, the illustrator is truly so talented. The bright yet realistic colors and lighting are a huge part of what made me so happy reading this book. It was very refreshing.

Lastly, the message. I feel like there aren't enough books out there that encourage kids to do chores and help their parents/guardians around the house. And, this book made chores seem so fun and wholesome, which is perfect for kids to learn. The author really emphasizes that doing chores around the house is a way to bring your family closer together and show love for the place you live in.

Also, this was so naturally diverse, it was so uplifting. There is a page with two moms and a kid, and there is a line that made me smile: "And the way different families will manage them all [chores], well, that's for each to choose." The back synopsis even sums this up, mentioning that there is a wide range of types of families in the whole book.

In less words, I loved this book. It filled me with joy, and I think it will do the same for kids, or just anyone else!

I can honestly say, this book touched me so much. As a busy, working mom and military spouse, things just seem so hard sometimes. I always like to remind my kids to find the little things in each day, that we are a team and to celebrate wins, big or small. This book perfectly summed that feeling up and made it easy for kids to understand. I just really really loved this one!

This childrens book is adorable & carries a significant message about the importance of sharing the responsibilities & understanding all that it takes to make a home functional. Everyone in the family has an important job to do, & not a single person should be doing it alone. The illustrations are beautifully done & help get the point across visually.

A lovely book with cute and rhyming prose and amazing illustration. The books writing leads to tons of discussion points with your child and also reminds caregivers/parents of how much work we do each day to care for our families that can go easily unnoticed.
