This is a suspenseful story about a woman piecing together her fractured memory after a trauma. I was immediately drawn to the premise, but the execution fell a bit flat for me. I was not able to connect with the characters and wasn’t invested in what happened next. I wouldn’t consider this a gripping thriller. I don’t judge an author by one book, and would read other works.

Another page-turning thriller from AJ Campbell who is brilliant at twists and keeping you hooked reading. Christina hits something when she's driving home at night. She thinks it's an animal and carries on home. Later the police tell her that her husband Michael has been seriously injured in a hit and run. Was it murder? Both spouses have secrets that AJ is great at revealing.

I so loved this book! Definitely did not see many of the twists and turns, which kept me up way too late reading to get to the end! Anything written by AJ Campbell is a must-read for me! Fabulous story-telling!!

The title captured my attention and how quickly the story started. The writing style took a little getting used to especially midway it slowed down a bit. Once the story picked up again I truly enjoyed the twists and how the story came together. Left me pondering, "Is blood thicker than water?". Scandalous!

From start to finish, this was such a whirlwind ride. The tension steadily built in the pace was absolutely perfect. I found myself on the edge of my seat reading this multiple times. I loved the way the characters were developed so naturally and organically, and how many twists and turns it had. I really, really enjoyed this and can't wait to read more from this author. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in exchange for an honest review.

A compelling psychological thriller that grips you until the very end! 🤩
Urmmmm whattttt!!!! I’ve always said that Campbell effortlessly holds you in a chokehold with her twisty thrillers, but how does she get better every single damn time!! 😍
Christina experiences everyone’s worse nightmare when the police break the news that her husband is in hospital in a critical condition. What they don’t know is where Christina was that evening. Everybody thinks that her marriage to Michael is perfect. But was it really? She can’t tell the police a thing as Michael’s not the only one with secrets. She tells the police that she’d never hurt her husband. But will they believe her?
I loved this book! It was gripping, suspenseful and perfectly paced. This read started off a little slower than Campbell’s other books, but the way it gradually built up was brilliant.
Christina was an incredibly likeable protagonist and I loved her constant paranoia and the thoughts plaguing her mind. Her actions were definitely spurred by this and it made an enticing read.
A lot of the book was repetitive, but it was necessary for the plot. I actually really enjoyed this aspect. The positive portrayal of divorce and the kids spending time with both parents was a nice touch too. I also really liked Ben (not just because we share a name 😉), Abi and Ted too!
I was constantly changing my mind about how this book would unfold and I questioned everyone. I finally settled on an idea and I was so happy that it played out as I thought. This in no way affected how much I enjoyed this book.
At times, Campbell’s talent is unmatchable. I have loved every single one of the books I’ve read by her and this really was no different. What a brilliant book to kick off the month with!

Did I Kill My Husband? by AJ Campbell was an excellent read and had me hooked from the beginning till the very end and ended up stuck in my chair all day reading it! With small breaks to make a coffee etc. It had lots of twists and turns throughout and was full of dark secrets and with so many lies everyone telling.

I always enjoy a book with a great twist or two. This was an entertaining read. This is my second book by AJ Campbell and I will now have to read the other books.

3.5 rounded to 4 stars
The story grabbed me from the beginning, but it didn't hold my attention as much as I hoped. Parts of the story dragged on a bit and I was left with a couple of unanswered questions. Drinking and knuckle biting were a daily occurrence for poor Christina. The edge-of-your-seat mystery was there all throughout and I definitely didn't see the ending coming. Overall, I enjoyed the story.
Thank you to the author, Bookouture and Netgalley for an advanced copy for an honest review.

This one was really good! I was hooked just from the title! Seriously though- this book had me hooked from the beginning! I had a very hard time putting this book down! 4 stars

Christina and Michael have been having some marital issues. Michael sleeping downstairs on the couch and Christina waiting for him to warm up the bed. After a night out with her twin brother. Christina is driving in horrible wind and rain. The car slams into something, she gets out to see what. The rain made it impossible to see. It had to have been an animal, she convinces herself as she gets back into the car and heads for home. Hours later the police arrived at her door, her husband has been found lying in the road. Left by a hit and run driver. Will Michael make it?

An excellent, fast-paced book full of lies, chills and confusion. The premise of driving home in foul weather and hitting what you think is an animal, but turns out to be your husband, is brilliant. It sets the scene for a gripping, twisty thriller full of well-developed characters, some sympathetic, others hateful. AJ Campbell is a fabulous writer, and this book is up there with her very best. Thoroughly recommend!

This story had me gripped from the very first page! Twists and turns throughout and an ending I didn’t see coming at all!

Did I Kill My Husband pulled me in from the very beginning! I had a feeling what might be happening but boy was I wrong. The twist and turns the book had kept me on my toes. I love how the Author gave you small crumbs that you thought you had figured out.
At times Christina's character would drive me crazy on her thoughts but in the end it made sense to me.
