After two resignations within 6 months she has to find work quickly .Can Finn and Michelle make a long distance relationship work?
This book is full of heartwarming situations, great characters, and a compelling story of finding your true self and true love.
Although I received a free ARC from Net Galley and the publisher, all thoughts and opinions are r honest truth.
What a sweet romance! The story line was entertaining and well written, easy to read and kept my interest. I love a good fake dating romance. The characters were strong, funny and had wonderful chemistry. I really enjoyed the witty banter and charm. I love Harlequin books. If you want a fun afternoon of fun, light, easy reading this book is for you.
Her Fake Boyfriend by Heatherly Bell, book seven in the Charming, Texas series, was a sweet, fake dating romance with a happily ever after. It is an enjoyable story about two people who have trust issues learning to trust again and finding their happy ending even when things don't always turn out as you planned.
Michelle LaCroix moved to Charming, TX after a career disaster in Austin. When her new employer wants proof that she's going to stay in town, she makes up a fake relationship. Unexpectedly encountering her boss in the restaurant where she is picking up dinner, she almost gets caught in her lie. When Finn Sheridan walks in Michelle grabs him, explaining that she needs to be in a stable relationship to make partner and begs him to be her fake boyfriend for the night. After a bitter divorce Finn isn't looking for anything permanent. Michelle is an ambitious workaholic, but Finn chips away at her over time, getting her to spend more time with him rather than working.
I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. They had to spend time together to sell their relationship, and as they did, discovering that something real was growing between them. I enjoyed their scenes together, especially when Finn attempted to break Michelle of her workaholic habits. I liked their teasing and seeing the changes in Michelle as her relationship with Finn grew. Things look good for them until the truth emerges, and Michelle's job is at stake.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This is the first book I've read by Heatherly Bell(what an awesome name, by the way!) and I plan on finding out more about Charming, Texas.
Michelle and Finn started out a little rough but I am glad I kept reading as the end of the book was sweet. The book does focus a lot on divorce but I guess you will get that when one the MCs is a family attorney and the other went through a rough divorce. I liked that Michelle was an advocate for her clients and not cut throat.
This book had so much charm in Charming and not a ton of heat but lots of heart. I have been reading Harlequin books since I was a teenager and they are still a great go to.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance for the e-ARC of this book. This review is my own opinion.
When I need a good book that I can read in one day I enjoy fake dating books. They are fun to read and when they end up as a couple meant to be together it is even great!
Michelle needed a boyfriend to let her new employer see she is in a happy relationship she finds Finn in a bar that turns out to be a happy occurrence.
I liked the chemistry between them and being along for the ride as they become a happy couple.
Thank you NetGalley, Heather Bell and Harlequin – Romance for the copy of Her Fake Boyfriend. This is my personal review.
Her Fake Boyfriend by Heatherly Bell is a fun, delightful and entertaining romance story.
This author has a fantastic way of writing her characters. You are always guaranteed a fantastic story from this author.
A well written contemporary story that I was pulled in to from the very first page.
Thank You NetGalley and Harlequin for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
Michelle LaCroix takes a job at Pierce and Pierce in Charming, Texas, hoping to reunite with her ex-boyfriend Noah, who has since rekindled his relationship with his long-time love, Twyla. To convince her boss she'll stay, Michelle claims she has a boyfriend, even though she doesn't. One night, she needs to produce a boyfriend quickly, and the closest available guy is Finn Sullivan, a divorced former Olympian she sees as a "player." Despite their trust issues, their relationship starts to feel real as they spend more time together. The book is filled with humor, especially during Michelle and Finn's "arguments," and there's a definite physical attraction evident from their first kiss. This is the seventh book in Heatherly Bell's Charming, Texas series, and it's as enjoyable as the others!
Good book. Michelle came to Charming to reconcile with an old boyfriend. When that didn't work out, and she lost her job in Austin, she decided to stay in Charming and join a local law firm. Michelle is ambitious and wants to make partner, but her old-fashioned boss thinks she needs to be in a committed relationship first. So she has been talking up the boyfriend that exists only in her mind but avoiding the necessity to produce a real one. That ends one evening when she encounters her boss, and he insists on meeting him. Desperate, she latches onto Finn and begs him to play the part.
Finn is happy to go along with the ruse. He's been attracted to Michelle since he met her, but she's his best friend's ex and, therefore, off limits. In addition, thanks to a recent contentious divorce, Michelle being a divorce lawyer gives him pause.
I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. They had to spend time together to sell the illusion of their relationship, and as they did, they discovered that there was something real growing between them. I enjoyed their scenes together, especially when Finn attempted to break Michelle of her workaholic habits. I liked their teasing and seeing the changes in Michelle as her relationship with Finn grew. Things look good for them until the truth emerges, and Michelle's job is at stake. I liked the ending and the twist that helped everything work out.
This was my first book by Heatherly Bell, but I LOVED it!
I'll start by saying I LOVE Fake Dating Tropes, so this was right up my alley!
Finn has a reputation for dipping his foot in the dating pool only 2 weeks at a time ever since an ugly divorce. And Michelle as been avoiding the dating pool altogether with her focus being only her job. But when Michelle is wanting to make partner and prove to her boss she has staying potential, she enters into a fake relationship with Finn to prove it. After the horrible breakup she dealt with, she also wants to prove to her ex-boyfriend that she's moved on. It's only meant to be temporary, but truth is they are very attracted to each other and that poses a problem in and off itself. As things start to feel less fake they have to continue to navigate those around them, exwives, ex-boyfriends, coworkers, and still be willing to put themselves out there. As far as everyone else knows (including them) their relationship isn't fake. BUT what happens if their initial lie gets out?! It COULD throw off everything and jeopardize it all!
I LOVED this book! I need to read more by Heatherly! I read a lot of clean / no spice books and this book was not a huge deviation from it since if was more "fade to black". You knew of it, not about all the details which was perfect for me. I really wish I didn't just have the ARC but the print version of it! ❤
***Thank you to Netgalley & Harlequin for my advance copy. The opinion was solely my own.
This a hallmark sort of book, except it has a few steamy scenes in it. The characters are ones you root for and know will end up together. I like the fake it until you make it relationships. It was fun to see them fall in love.
Another charming romance in Charming, Texas. Trust issues, misunderstandings, past relationships, and more add up to an engaging and entertaining story. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
A sweet fake dating romance that I ended up enjoying more than I thought I would. I look forward to more books by this author.
Had a slow start to get into this book due to being in third person, but overall good! Fake dating is always one of my favorite tropes and the characters grew on me!
Looking forward to another book by you.
Fake dating is a trope I always like and this one did not disappoint. You couldn’t help but absolutely love Finn right from the start. He was charming, handsome, and so sweet. Michelle was great too and how she fought for Finn made my heart melt. I love how Finn and Michelle didn’t have to go through the horrible fight phase in the book and just fell in love with each and admitted it to each other freely. You don’t often see that. The side characters were good. Arthur and his son weren’t my favorite but they did add to the story. I think it would be great for Declan and Rachel to have a story next!
This is definitely a great read. I read it in one day! Don’t miss out.
Get ready to be introduced to your new book boyfriend! Finn is sweet, funny and hot - you are going to love him. I wasn't sure about Michelle at first, but her character really grows throughout the book and you really do enjoy them as a couple. I highly recommend this book. 5 stars!
