This series is your typical bad boy meets the gal of his dreams and what lengths he will go to to get her.

So this was moderately better than the first one, but I still stand by this should've been one book. There's a little bit of conflict, with Kristen being jealous about everything and the demonization of her ex boyfriend's BPD.

This was a strong second entry in the trilogy and it provides enough to want to continue into the third book.

Book 2 is much more exciting. The twists and turns of the story is worthy! I love how and where the story is going.

Right. Let's make this review chronological. In the beginning of the book, I got pretty confused about the timing in which the events in the book took place. This happened a few times, but whatever, it could be my inattentiveness to, or forgetfulness of the time cues. Then things took a happy turn and it was HOT, which made me swoon over Vincent. After that, I got pretty annoyed by Kristen looking for excuses or things to nitpick at. I mean, I get it. Things are moving quickly, but it frustrates me when Vincent is clearly doing everything to reassure her he likes her and going out of his way for her and making sure she knows he likes him. So you see why I was afraid my eyes were going to roll out of my eye sockets when she saw that text from Ariel. Instead of jumping to conclusions, literally seconds after Vincent had reassured her he was figuring things out and cared for her, the least she could've done was stay and ask for an explanation. Last but not least, the book is getting a bit predictable. Marty showing up to end the book? Kind of saw that coming. Kristen probably having morning sickness and being pregnant? Wouldn't surprise me after the -not so subtle- hint when Vincent called her.
Anyway, let's see how part three turns out. Maybe it will blow me off my feet. If not, at least I'll get some more protective Vincent and a happy ever after.

I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.

I did enjoy the second enstallment in this series. I did find it a bit stalled at times but maybe it needs to be because it’s a series

In the second installment of The Surrender Series, readers will get an in-depth narration of what's going on between Vincent and Kristen. There were more conversations between them, more dates, and definitely more action. I just felt like this time around, the author should've let her characters delved into each other's lives already. They could've at least talk about more details about themselves aside from the sexual banters. It could’ve saved them from unnecessary fights or tensions.

I get it, he’s a “busy man” and she wants to take things slow, but there’s no getting to know each other phase. They went straight to honeymoon. That’s where the inconsistencies come in. For a girl who has trust issues and a troubling relationship experience, Kristen is not really guarding her heart as I’m expecting her to be. She can’t just allow him to go in and out of her life, and just accept his sugar-coated reasoning. I hope her character will eventually improved to be more independent and empowered. As for Vincent, I know that he’s sincere with his intentions and feelings, but I know there’s more to him than he lets on. I hope we’ll see more of his life story or just tidbits of it in the next book.

As for the plot, there were clear hints of what the author wanted to convey. It’s up to the readers to read between the lines to catch it. I like the intensity of their dates and how it matches the whole taking risks theme. Looking forward for the next one!

If you enjoy serials then you'll understand why the story gets dragged out. Kristen and Vincent are in the honeymoon phase of their young relationship, sex all day long and exotic trips. But, things get bumpy with jealousy when Kristen becomes less confident in her personal life. It's pretty easy to skim the multiple chapters with intimate moments, stale and overplayed. I'm hoping for my storyline in the last one.

A bit stilted at times, but overall a good read. Not quite as good as book one, but I like the author so I'm planning to continue.

As I did not finish the first book in this series, I did not read this one.

This is book two of three.

Vincent and Kristen story continues. While working together they try keeping their relationship quiet. I felt this stepped up slightly with hot scenes, cyber sex and angst. Throw in a twist and a cliffhanger and I'm so looking forward to jumping into book three.

Vincent and Kristen's story continues on this book, the second one in this series.
They are still seeing each other. This book is focused on the progress of their relationship. But nothing really happens until the last pages. And then, it ends in a cliffhanger.
I will have to wait to finish the third book to know how things go.
