I thought this was a great idea for a cocktail book, the veggie spin. I didn't try any of the recipes, but I did enjoy flipping through this and the pictures are beautiful. This is a great addition to any bar cart.
Book for the more adventurous and advanced creators of cocktails. There are some more exotic ingredients and flavor profiles. Beautifully illustrated with gorgeous photos. Recipes for shrubs and syrups may inspire.
I really enjoyed this book since I didn't know a lot about plant-based cocktails, and this book brought creativity and innovation to every recipe. The authors skillfully blend unique ingredients to craft drinks that are both delicious and refreshing, making each sip an adventure. The book's vibrant and stunning photography enhances the experience, with each page showcasing colorful and enticing images of the cocktails. These pictures not only make the drinks look appealing but also help readers imagine the flavors and aromas. I'm particularly impressed with the cover photo since that drew my attention to even request this ARC - great marketing piece!
Perfect for both seasoned mixologists and curious beginners, "The Vedge Bar Book" offers a visually captivating and inspiring guide to plant-based mixology. Whether you're looking to impress guests or simply enjoy a creative drink at home, this book is a must-have for anyone interested in elevating their cocktail game with plant-based ingredients.
I love the concept of this book and I appreciate that there are also lite bites that can be paired with the drinks. I like the explanation of the different glassware that can be used for different cocktails and the techniques for making a proper cocktail. What makes this book even more unique is the plant based aspect of it which is a huge asset to why this is a book I will definitely buy and gift to those in my circle. I like that it is also arranged by seasons of the year. I think this book is not for every one but for me, I love it.
Like all the best cookbooks, this is also a work of art. Each cocktail and bar snack looks delicious. The plant-based focus, for the drinks, generally just means they are mixed with aquafaba instead of egg white (which is gross and didn't work the one time I tried it in a cocktail recipe anyway). There are so many niche ingredients that I can't see readers trying to make these drinks at home--unless you have an extremely well-stocked liquor cabinet and are willing to spend a lot on accessories. However, I totally plan to make a simplified version of the "Nothing Sacred" cocktail with rum, dry white wine, lemon juice and damson gin.
WONDERFUL!
As the Vedge Bar Book Promotes, "A good drink is an indulgent sensory experience worth savoring". My most favorite drinks of all times have been experiences at that beautiful Philadelphia bar and I cannot wait to try and replicate them all in my hope.
This fabulous book is broken in to seasons to allow for ingredients. The vegan recipes include the very important "bar snacks" which are equal to the drinks in being pure works of art. If you haven't had the rutabaga fondue you have surely been missing out!
A collection of 75 cocktails that are fairly easy to make and playfully named. A section on barware and drink making tips also is included. Generally speaking, most drinks can be found online, but this is a collection of unique, one of a kind, recipes. Well worth purchasing for yourself and your relaxing evenings or a night to impress friends!

Wow, this book has everything you could ask for about plant-based cocktails and lite bites.
The writers, who are experts, offer wonderful advice, recipes, tips in this rich and mouth-watering book.
As a vegetarian, I am always on the lookout for new cookbooks, and a plant-based cocktail book seemed intriguing. The Vedge Bar Book begins with the spirits, ingredients, and bar tools to have on hand, which is useful. There are also guides on glassware and techniques. Next are the recipes for Spring, Early Summer, Late Summer, Fall, Holiday Season, and Winter. Each chapter has 7-10 drink recipes and 3-5 snack recipes. Every recipe includes an introduction, an ingredient list, and directions. The directions seem easy enough to follow, however, you will most likely need ingredients you do not have on hand for the drinks. The Vedge Bar Book would be great if you are planning a vegan cocktail party or get-together with family and friends.
