Awesome for adventurous kids who always want to be on the go!

As a mom of two mini explorers (girls- 2 and 5), anytime there is a mention of a trip out comes the binoculars, the book bags, and packing of snacks.

The illustrations are cute and help put meaning behind the words. Some of the depictions cause some giggles. We are big on details in the illustrations and while these where simple, they still allowed us to discuss and talk about what is going on.

The content was very cute. I love when there are messages hidden within the story. This allows my littles to be reminded that there is plenty to do at our home if they look for adventure.

Thank you NetGalley, Naseem Hrab, Kelly Collier, and Owlkids books for allowing my to review a digital copy.

I also post on Instagram all of my reviews @_RayLayneBooks_.

This silly tale about an introvert snail had me giggling. Many of the jokes went over my 4 year olds head and the book was a little confusing about the overall message. However, I believe it would be a great book for storytime when used to discuss friendships, different perspectives on what it means to have fun, and teaching kids to understand what it means to have fun near home and why that may be what some people prefer to do. The illustrations are so adorable and I loved the relationship between Snail and Stump.

I received an ARC of this children's book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is best children's book I've read all year. The pictures are adorable. This was one of those rare books that wasn't just amusing to the kids, I also found it funny!

Adorable book with a lot of entertaining dialogue for kids! Such a wonderful story to encourage children to find happiness in what they have and make their own adventures in whatever way makes THEM happy!

Thank you to NetGalley and OwlKids Books for the digital ARC!

As the first book, How to Party Like a Snail, was on this year's Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Awards nomination list, I have read it aloud no less than 15 times. And yet, I love it. So, when I saw there is a sequel, I squealed and requested it!

How to Staycation Like A Snail lives up to the premise of the original. Snail and Stump plan a staycation where they get to do all their favorite quiet sightseeing activities. When some new friends parachute in, they are excited to show off and share their backyard.

I love how these books show children that different people have different preferences and likes. I am excited to add this to my library and read it aloud no less than 15 times.

Thank you to Owl Kids Books and Net Galley for the eARC. All opinions are my own.

This is the perfect picture book to encourage kids to explore their own neighborhoods and really take time to use all five senses to try to notice EVERYTHING!! Snail is very good at showing us how to appreciate the world around us and enjoy the quiet moments in life. Kids will definitely be excited to be like Snail, pack a small backpack or shell of their own and go on their own little adventure. I love Stump, everyone needs a Stump in their life, and the visitors are so much fun too. Wonderful story!

I love this cute little snail. Such a fun character with great adventures. I am glad to see it as a series of stories. I am not a fan of snails in real life but I can’t help but love this snail.

The Snail books are always so cute. I really liked this one about finding fun things right at home. I liked the look at the staycation and finding friends who like those things too.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.
