So cute, absolutely love this series. Just a real feel good story with a feel good mystery. My girl is engaged!! Ahhhhh!!!

Cute. Quirky little Molly the Maid gets a surprise for Christmas. Love this series; looking forward to the final installment. Read January 15,2025

Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for a copy of The Mistletoe Mystery by Nita Prose.
I know I’m a little late to the party on this one, but who doesn’t love a little Christmas cheer in August…
I’m not normally a novella person, however, Molly won me over as always. Her overanalyzing, slight neurosis and heart warming charm never fail. In fact, each of the characters featured in this series continue to become a part of the greater whole as we learn about their oh so relatable relationships along the way.
I know some people felt that the “mystery” of this novella was not really a mystery and was so obvious. But to my mind, that wasn’t the point of this at all. It was simply a small way to see into a “mystery” that is a mental and emotional rabbit hole most all of us have found ourselves tumbling down at some point.
Prose has carved out a little piece in time that brings love and belief and care to the forefront, the importance of which we all need to remember from time to time. This novella may be small, but sometimes it’s the smallest things that can make a difference even when we didn’t know we needed it.
Thank you so much to Nita Prose for giving us this Christmas gift, no matter what time of year. Thank you for reminding us that friends and family and the love that can be shared is a beautiful treasured tidbit any day of the year.

A fresh twist on the Molly Maid Mystery series. I love that it was a Christmas season book as well. Molly's quirkyness shines as usual. It was nice to return this character.

4 stars! If you are a fan of "The Maid" and this series, you will really enjoy this cute little Christmas novella. All the characters you love at the holidays, with a holiday theme. And of course, there is a little mystery to solve! I enjoyed reading this book during the holidays-nothing too heavy, just some light fun. If you do not take it too seriously, this little book is enjoyable, atmospheric and very jolly.

A short and sweet novella with Molly during Christmas time that explores her new relationships and the ways that her grandmother is still with her and shaping how she thinks and looks at things. As much as it's her love story with Juan Manuel, it's a story about moving through grief. I loved how well Prose wove all the elements into such a beautifully emotional story.
Delighted thanks to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for the pleasant read!

This was a cute little novella featuring Molly the Maid. I enjoy her little quips and find that these books are enjoyable. However, this was a bit slow paced and while enjoyable, it felt longer than it was which was a bit disappointing.

I received an ARC, and I was thrilled to read Molly’s Christmas special! I love following Molly the Maid in her never-dull internal monologue. Her quirky statements and love for her Gram will always bring me back to her cozy world.
This novella transports you into December with the usual cast of characters and, of course, a mystery Molly must solve. It’s one not to miss if you’ve loved the two books before.
emotional, funny, mysterious, tense, fast-paced

I love the series of the quirky hotel maid! This lighthearted book was a quick read. In true fashion, there's a big surprise coming and Molly is totally oblivious to the signs leading up to the big event. I love how Molly continues to be supported by her family and friends. I can't wait to see where the next book takes us!

Another good story in the series. Molly is a great character and always enjoy her stories. This book lived up to previous books.

Thank you Nita Prose, Ballantine Books, and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in return for an honest opinion.
This was a fun Christmas novella that follows our beloved maid, Molly, and her man, Juan Manual. Although it’s more romance than mystery.
It’s Christmastime and the Christmas work party is coming up, but Juan is acting strange. He’s not acting himself and Molly thinks he’s up to something. But what could he be up to?
It’s a quick, fun Christmas story, but not so mysterious. I did enjoy it though. 3.5/5 stars.

The Mistletoe Mystery is a light, holiday-themed mystery with a charming vibe and some cozy moments. Nita Prose brings her usual cleverness and quirky characters, and the setting definitely gives off that warm, festive feeling.
That said, while it was fun, it didn’t really wow me. The mystery felt a bit predictable, and the plot didn’t have as much depth or tension as I’d hoped. It’s cute, easy to read, and perfect for getting into the holiday spirit—but not super memorable.
If you’re in the mood for a low-stakes, seasonal whodunit with a touch of charm, this one will do the trick. Just don’t expect anything too twisty or complex.

Love a cozy holiday mystery! (Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.)

If you're a fan of the Molly the Maid series, this holiday novella is a must-read. Very short and sweet, but brings together all the old favorite characters from The Maid and The Mystery Guest as the group tries to spring a surprise on Molly at Christmastime.

Cutesy wutesy. It was fine. It was expected. Cute in that the mystery wasn't a murder. Nice and cozy and fine.

Quick and easy read. Did I love it? I wouldn’t say that but it was an okay storyline. If you just want something lighthearted to read then this book fits the bill.

This was okay! It was very obvious and predictable which isn't always a bad thing but here it felt a bit stretched to create a story.

This book was definitely written for those who loved the characters and wanted a little more time with them. The mystery was not really a mystery and felt a bit like a Hallmark movie. I know there are some people who would love this, but it was personally for me.

This Molly the Maid novella is so festive and sweet. There’s a secret Santa gift exchange at the Grand Regency hotel and it seems as though not everyone is as trustworthy as they ought to be. Molly has a troubling mystery to solve about her beloved Juan Manuel. It’s a really quick and delightful read.
Many thanks to Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine and NetGalley for an advanced reader’s copy of this novella in exchange for my review.
