This was a sweet second chance, brother's best friend romance. It didn't include the typical big brother freak out which I appreciated (that's always my least favorite part of that trope) I jumped in not realizing it was a part of a series but it can totally be read as a standalone

A cute family-centric romance with surprising layers. It wasn't a difficult read and would be a great summer lakeside pick. It made me want to book a glamping experience for myself and enjoy nature with all the comforts and my own hot chef nearby.

This was a super sweet second chance romance. The characters had low drama and they rekindled very quickly.

Thirty-one year old Presley thought her career and relationship status would be solidified by now.
Having dated Emmett the last eight months, Presley planned to give Emmett his birthday gift as they enjoyed pie at the place of their first date. Presley was sure he’d be thrilled when she told him she’d scheduled a ten day trip for the two of them that included fishing, hiking, and camping - things she was sure he would love. But Emmett seemed more excited about spending his birthday drinking with his friends. When he found out about the trip, he said that was way too much time for them to spend together. And since it was his gift, he said he should be able to pick who to take on the trip. Realizing they had much different views of their relationship, Presley decided to go on the trip herself.
Not being a fan of the big outdoors, Presley isn’t sure what she signed up for. Almost falling off the boat to step onto the dock, Presley is caught by Beckett, shooting electricity through her.
Might the universe have bigger and better plans for Presley? Or will she confirm Emmett’s assertion that she suffers from seeing what she wants and not what’s real.
Oh - and any book with a Pink Floyd reference is five stars in my book!

Thank you Sophie Sullivan and Netgalley for the e-arc. I am leaving this review voluntarily and all opinions are my own.
This was a sweet second chance, small town romance book. It was an easily bingeable book that had a slow burn love.

Yay, another story about the Get Lost cabins. Sophie Sullivan is the queen of slow romance, according to Fallon Ballard and I really have to agree.
The story between Jillian and Levi is cute and bittersweet. It is not a story with big revelations or very sudden twists or turns. But Sophie melts your heart and has you keeping turning the pages. Cute, cozy and very sweet.
Hopefully another story of the Rock Bottom Love series will be coming. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

A second chance at love, a small-town romance, and an incredible number of corny phrases, "Get Lost with You" is the second novel in the Rock Bottom Love Series. And while I am a Sophie Sullivan fanatic, this book wasn't my favorite.
The main plot centers around Jilly and Levi finally getting their second chance at love. Except, they never really had a first chance. They were teenagers that had crushes on each other but never acted on it - not counting an unfortunate attempt at a first kiss. Now as adults, they are finally acting on those feelings and trying out a relationship.
While I love a feel-good romance, the pacing in this story felt incredibly slow. And there were many opportunities to expand on character growth and conflicts, but the author chose not to. I was hoping to gain more insight into Levi's relationship with his father, or Jilly's relationship with her ex and what that meant for their daughter's future. Furthermore, I understand that in any romance, there has to be some strife, in order for the resolution to lead to a happily ever after. But the disagreement was incredibly lacking. Without spoilers, Jilly panicked for no reason and then imploded her relationships for nothing. If she didn't want her daughter to grow close to Levi, then don't allow her to spend time with him., although, I do agree (as a mom) that if my daughter was not where I thought she would be, I would also be upset.
Sophie Sullivan also normally writes sweet romance but trust the byline on this one when it says, "a touch of spice." It definitely pushes her normal boundaries.
Though this book was not for me, I still enjoy a good Sullivan romance. I have great appreciation to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the advanced read. All opinions are my honest own.

Ok, this was cute and I enjoy it. I feel the journey of both are very well done and I love how Levi is all in. The struggle and obstacles are not so big, but reconnecting and finding themself was a nice touch.

Jillian had a huge crush on Levi when they were teens, now here his is back in town stirring up feelings. Sparks fly between them as they try to navigate what is going on.
Her girlfriends tell her to stop overthinking things the answers will show up. Her brothers think he should stay hands off their sister.
She’s afraid of making a fool of herself living in a small town. Seemingly always in your business they can celebrate your good times and help lift you up when you fall.
Recognizing she always worries about everything and everyone else, she needs to face what she wants. Will she let the burdens on her shoulders stop her or will she let Levi pick up some of the challenges?
Cute small town romance story. Quick read with great characters. There are good guys out there!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own. Thanks St Martins Publishing Group.

This book was really difficult to get into. The characters, while seeming to mean well, lacked the instant hook chemistry that I was expecting.

I was extremely excited for Get Lost With You because I had chosen book one, Love, Naturally, for my Sisterhood of the Traveling Book Club in 2024 — and Sophie absolutely did not disappoint with this follow-up!! Ah!!!
Jillian's journey tugged at my heart. I loved reading how she navigates life as a single mother to Ollie, so grounded in her routine and responsibility, while still holding onto her strength. Her connection with Levi Bright was everything I wanted in a romance — the slow-burning, full of chemistry, and layered with soooo much history. Levi’s return to Smile and his desire to create a meaningful life (and delicious food!) was such a good contrast to the fast-paced world he left behind when he moved.
The “brother’s friend” trope is done perfectly here. It is so sweet, emotional, and we are given the right amount of tension between the two. Watching Levi and Jilly find their way back to each other was like wrapping up in a cozy blanket with a mug of hot cocoa while sitting on the porch of the lodge. GLWY is filled with so much heart, small-town charm, and characters that make you fall in love with them from page one.
I cannot wait for Maybe This Once in 2026!!!

This was not for me.
I just wasn’t interested in this story.
Story, romance, setting. This just work for me. I got real bored.

Sometimes you just need a dose of small town romance that involves returning home and falling in love. If you're looking for a dose of that, that's what this is. Jillian and Levi, former friends, have each found their way back to Smile. Things are different now, but they find themselves spending lots of time together. Are Jillian and her older brother's best friend (Levi) finally going to find love? As you might guess given it's a romance, things start to trend that way. This one is a nice, light romance (and again sometimes you need those kind of vibes!) to check out. Thanks to NetGalley for the look at this February 2025 release.

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is my biggest pet peeve in books and audiobooks: if you are writing about a real location, don’t make things up that are well-known or easily googled.
I was doing a joint read/listen to GET LOST WITH YOU by Sophie Sullivan and started with the audiobook. The narrator called the Mackinac Bridge, the “Mack-in-act” bridge 😖 This should have been caught by the author, the audio producer, or the narrator should have looked it up. The simple way is “Mack-in-awe,” and it’s easy to Google. 😤
Things like this get me angry because what else has the author just not taken care of to ensure is correct? I know that authors take liberties, and we are supposed to have an open mind, and I do. Make up a town, a restaurant, fudge time, and pretend the drive is shorter/longer for storyline purposes, but don’t take a bridge to a well-known vacation spot in Michigan and butcher the name.
The first book was cute and fun, but if you can’t tell, I won’t be continuing this one.
Thanks, St. Martin’s Griffin, for the arc.

Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan is like wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket straight out of the dryer and then realizing the blanket smells suspiciously like fresh-baked pie. Jillian Keller has built her life like a Pinterest board come to life, full of routines and color-coded calm, and honestly, can you blame her. After enough curveballs to last a lifetime, she’s not about to let feelings, especially messy ones, ruin her perfect vibe. Enter Levi Bright, former big-city chef, newly reformed small-town heartthrob, and inconvenient blast from the past.
When Jillian and Levi reconnect in their hometown of Smile, it’s clear pretty quickly that the teenage crush energy never actually left the building. It’s just been slow simmering like one of Levi’s fancy comfort food recipes, waiting for the exact moment to blow up her very organized life. He’s charming, he’s grounded, he’s also her older brother’s best friend which means obviously nothing could possibly go wrong.
This book is sweet without giving you a toothache, just the right amount of flirty heat that makes you kick your feet a little but still recommend it to your mom. Jillian’s journey of learning how to loosen her white-knuckle grip on life and maybe let happiness sneak in is so relatable it hurts. Levi is the kind of book boyfriend who makes you wonder if it’s too late to move to a small town and develop a sudden interest in rustic lodges.
Get Lost with You is second-chance romance done right, complete with small-town charm, family meddling, kitchen flirting, and just enough swoon to make you wish someone would casually bake you a pie and confess their feelings.

Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan – ★★.5☆
Okay, so this was very middle of the road for me. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance with characters working through their baggage and finding love again, this might be your jam. Unfortunately... it just wasn’t mine.
I found the story pretty predictable — which I can sometimes roll with — but what really got me was the dialogue. I had so many moments where I was literally yelling at the book, "No one talks like this to someone they're falling for!" It just felt so forced and unnatural. 🫠
Honestly, compared to some of the recent contemporary romances I’ve read and loved, this one just didn’t hold up. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s not one I’ll be shouting from the rooftops about either.
Themes You’ll Find:
Healing from heartbreak
Family bonds and expectations
Small town restart
Friends-to-something-more (but very lightly)
Would I recommend this?
Maybe... if you're a diehard contemporary romance reader who doesn’t mind a bit of cheesiness and predictability. Otherwise, I’d probably say there are stronger picks out there!
Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read and review.

Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan is exactly the kind of small-town second-chance romance that feels like a warm hug. Jillian and Levi’s story is all about finding love when you least expect it — and trusting that sometimes, the best plans are the ones you don’t make. I loved how grounded Jillian was as a single mom trying to protect her peace, and Levi’s return to Smile (and to his roots) brought such a comforting, homey vibe to the story.
Their chemistry is a slow, sweet burn with just a hint of heat, true to Sullivan’s signature style. Plus, the small-town setting, Get Lost Lodge, and all the cozy food scenes made it even more delightful. My only reason for docking a star is that it moved a little slowly in the beginning, but once Jillian and Levi started reconnecting, I was hooked. If you love best-friend’s-brother romances, heartfelt second chances, and a cozy, feel-good escape, Get Lost with You will absolutely hit the spot.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Sophie Sullivan's previous book, so I had high hopes for this one. It lived up to my expectations. I really loved this one!

I tried so hard to finish this book, but I just couldn’t.
This is not the romance niche I enjoy. Maybe because it hits too close to home. Small town, Hallmarky. I like just like different characters. And better flowing banter.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC. These opinions are my own.
