As an avid Freidah-Readah, I was so excited to pick up this book. Her books are usually great palate cleansers for me since they're so fast paced, easy to read, and always pack a good punch and several twisty turns. This one, however, fell a little short for me.

After completing the book, I understand the title. The cover makes perfect sense. The story was incredibly different than what I was expecting and there were moments where you couldn't put it down. I was waiting for the twist and waiting for the twist (because if you know Freida, you know it's coming), but when I finally made it to the twist, I was like "... what?" It just didn't make sense to me. After it was explained, I still was like "I mean.... okay? I guess?"

Now, the epilogue was done in Freida-fashion and I really enjoyed it, but not as much as some of her other ones. Overall, not a bad read, but probably not a re-read for me.

Thank you so much to Net Galley, Poisoned Pen Press, and Freida McFadden and her team for the ARC. I appreciate you letting me read this early in exchange for my open and honest review.

This book kept me up for hours. BECAUSE I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN. The writing was phenomenal, as always, and Freida kept me guessing til the very end.

I was so thankful I got to read this book before it came out. And in true Freida fashion, she did it again. Now there were times that Teagan got on my nerves, but this book was so good. I devoured it and finished it in two days. I totally recommend this book. So if you’ve never read a free book, go ahead and pick this one up it was so good.

Freida does it again! This one was more story driven versus twist and turns. It made me continue turning the pages to see what thing Polly would do next. Girl was absolutely crazy! Hank was such a sweetheart and put up with so much for love. That final twist at the end though? I did not think that was who it was gonna be!! Freida will always be an auto-read/buy author for me!

I started reading Mrs.Frieda Mcfaddens books about a year ago, and every book I have never seen the ending coming! I was in a head on collision Dec. 27th, 2023. I came home from the hospital New Year’s Eve. About two weeks later I went to say I seen Frieda post about “the crash” and her next book would be published. I was excited not only was it a Frieda McFadden book. But a book I would be able to relate to in a way. I will say all friends book are amazing, this book was no different! The only thing I wished more was the ending to be more of a twist of the plot. The plot was interesting and did keep me on my toes, but it gave the ending of the story away almost. But nonetheless the crash is an amazing book!! Thank you so so much Frieda to you & your team for sending me an arc of the crash!!

I love the premise of this story. The remote location, the blizzard, the isolated cabin… I was hooked from the very start.

For the first 30%, this book reminded me of two of my all-time favorite Freida books, The Housemaid and Never Lie! There was constant tension and suspense, and paired with the short chapters, it was impossible to put down.

I think the pace slowed down a bit about halfway through. Some parts became a bit repetitive. I still really enjoyed it, though.

I loved the protagonist, Tegan. I thought the other characters were also interesting (can’t say much more about them in fear of spoiling the plot). While the twist wasn’t anything too crazy or unexpected if you’ve read a lot of thrillers, I still liked the ending. It felt very satisfying.

Tegan is eight months pregnant, is lost in life, and living paycheck to paycheck. She really wants to get her life together for her baby but needs a break and decides to go visit her brother for the weekend. During the snowy drive up, she finds herself injured, unable to get out of her car., and her car damaged. A stranger picks her up and takes her to his house so his wife can take care of her. Tegan thinks she is in good hands until she finds out that this couple is not what they seem.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how we got Tegan's and Polly's point of views. With their point of views, it shows how one person can read a situation one way and the other person will read a situation in the opposite direction. I was not expecting the ending to be great, but I was wrong and I am glad it ended the way it did.

Tegan, pregnant from a one night stand, is feeling hopeful with what good is coming out of a bad situation - yet when the time comes, something terrible comes to focus. In an upset state, she decides to get out of town for a few days to visit her brother.

The crash, the stranger, the house, the lies. She doesn't know who to trust and time is limited.

This was yet another amazing read from Frieda. While I had some suspicions - I never guess all the twists in her books!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was pulled in from the first page, and this book did not let me go until the final page. I was sweating, stressed out for our main character. I loved that there were a few smaller “twists” throughout the book. This was fast paced, easy to follow, and had my heart pounding!

Great thriller! I love the scenery in where the book takes place, it definitely made it more suspenseful. Overall, it keeps you engage and wondering whats next, who is the villain? Or villains. I was quite surprising it had multiple plot twists!

This was a quick read! I got it done in about 6 hours. The main character is likeable and there’s tons of twists and turns and just when you think you got it - you don’t! I have to admit it wasn’t my favorite of hers but still great!

I will read everything by Freida, she is my favorite thriller author. I will say this isn’t my favorite of hers but I still loved it and would recommend to anyone who loves a good thriller. In Freida fashion it has a twist at the end, We think we know the ending but then the twist gets you!

Freida has done it again! From the first page, she draws you in and doesn't let you go. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so if you like twists and turns and your mind being blown - this is the book you need to read!

Many thanks to Mandy for the digital ARC of The Crash! In true Freida fashion, The Crash keeps you hooked from page one and offers twists you won’t see coming. However, this book made me panic more than any other Freida book!!! I can’t tell you how many times I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding! ;)

I was so excited to get an ARC copy of this book! Wow.
It captivated me from the beginning. It had such a great message to the book. I feel like we don't get that much from Frieda. As always I thought I figured this book out and of course I didn't. This is a must read!!!
