Alejandro "Han" and Kenny have been best friends ever since they can remember. They're there to support each other through everything. So when Han needs help with his immigration status just as Kenny finds himself single, the only logical conclusion is that they're going to fake a relationship and get married. When everyone's reaction to their announcement is 'finally' instead of surprise, will they keep the farce going or will they realize there's more truth than fiction in their relationship?

These two have the sweetest, most supportive friendship ever. Even if the story hadn't gone full friends-to-lovers, I would have enjoyed reading about them being there for each other through the awful things that life keeps throwing at them. The story does go a bit brutal on them a couple of times, with Han's immigration status being a big threat but sometimes being the least menacing thing happening to them. The two of them are so supportive even when they're not together and the way their families are there for them is healing.

Major kudos to Reyes for how well they put a face to all the awful abuse and fears that immigrants have to face even as they're just trying to live life as straight as possible. Add the fact that they also went ahead and added a subplot that shows another way that abuse can take place in a relationship and there is so much to digest. It's a nice way to round out the sweetness that is Kenny and Han's relationship

Very happy thanks to NetGalley and Forever for the emotional read!
