I really enjoy these Buzz Books seasonal samplers. They're a fun way to discover new authors and get key information (covers, excerpts, spice levels, etc.) about upcoming TBR-worthy reads. The 2024 romance edition features several of my most anticipated books for the year, along with a few "new to me" authors I’m excited to add to my list. I had the pleasure of receiving advanced copies of Flirting Lessons by Jasmine Guillory, My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher, Heart of the Sun by Mia Sheridan, First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison, and I Got Abducted By Aliens and Now, I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming. By giving access to excerpts and genre/trope information, Buzz Books allowed me to prioritize my TBR. I still have a few of these books waiting for me, and I can't wait to dive into them. These Buzz Books samplers are such great resources!

A very informative list for last year's romance picks! I always love seeing what people in the book community want to recommend and promote!

Thank you for providing me with the Buzz Books 2024: Romance. THere were lots of great reads in this catalog.

This is a great sampler! I really enjoyed the variety of romance and the ability to check out so many upcoming titles.

It was interesting to see how this book had different ideas of romance. They covered all the genders of romance and it was pretty interesting because you get to read a short story to see if you want to read the whole book. But also embraced it different types of writing styles as well

I love these Buzz Books. I really enjoy seeing what to look out for in the upcoming year, and getting excited for new titles from both new and favorite authors.

A wonderful way to sample a variety of romances! This sampler offers romances from tried and true favorites and up and coming newcomers. There is something here for everyone!

I went ahead and grabbed this because I was curious about what samplers were in here after someone said it had some 2025 titles too. I believe all the excerpts I saw belong to books that are already published. I love reading samples before committing to reading a full book because I can see if I'm going to like the book or not. I wish all NetGalley books had excerpts available. However, this still is a great tool to use to get a glimpse into these books. I saw they have a 2025 one up now, so I'd grab that because it does provide an easy link to the NetGalley request and includes book summaries. I'd say each samples had MAYBE 3 or less chapters available. If you're interested, these are all the books available in the sampler pack:
Aurora Ascher - My Funny Demon
Valentine Chad - Beguelin Showmance
B.K. Borison - First-Time Caller
Juliette - Cross Firebird
Jasmine Guillory - Flirting Lessons
Sabrina Jeffries - Hazardous to a Duke’s Heart
Kimberly Lemming - I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com
Freya Marske - Swordcrossed Sav R. Miller Promises and Pomegranates
Sara Raasch - The Nightmare Before Kissmas
London Sperry - Passion Project
Deanna Faison - Playmaker: A Hidden Attractions Novel
Mia Sheridan - Heart of the Sun
Amanda Weaver - Fast & Reckless
Kristy Boyce - Dating and Dragons
Amanda M. Helander - Divine Mortals
Ingrid Ochoa - The Kiss Bet Vol. 1 Clare Osongco Midnights With You
Beth Reekles - Love & Lattes
Jill Tew - The Dividing Sky
K.L. Walther - While We’re Young

I love these! As if my TBR isn’t big enough, this is a great way to see what’s coming and get a snippet.

I wish I had found the is sooner than I did, but I did enjoy reading the excerpts. I do love Sarah Raasch’s writing which is what had me grabbing this!

A collection of excerpts from new romance releases coming out in 2024 and 2025. It’s a wide variety of subgenres such as romcom, contemporary, scifi, fantasy, and dark romance, with a variety of tropes and includes young adult and adult, as well as from debut authors. It’s organized by category and even includes an excerpt from a graphic novel.
If you love romance novels and want to a taste of new releases, this will give you a sneak peek!
Thanks to Netgalley and Publishers lunch for the eARC!

These extracts were amazing. I'm excited to read the books as and when the release! All the best to the authors!

What got me out of a 7 year reading slump? One word - romance. In February of last year I FINALLY devoured a book, start to finish, after not having been able to do that for so long. 2024 has become a very meaningful year to me because of that: not only did I start to read regularly - daily - again, I also began to see being a reader as part of my identity again. I wanted to keep track of new publications to get myself more involved (which would eventually lead to me returning to book reviewing in 2025 - another important year in my reading journey).
NetGalley's Buzz compilations are fantastic, and I'm particularly grateful to (still) have access to this bundle specifically dedicated to the genre that helped me achieve a sort of triumph, with books published in years that gave me a huge part of my life back. Many of the titles in this bundle are familiar to me, which validates that I'm on top of my game here, haha. But what's more - I have found many lovely new titles in various romance subgenres to add to my TBR pile, and new authors to check out. Buzz books' (long!) excerpts give us a taste of whether a book is a good fit and I recommend reviewers check out any existing Buzz title available.
It's never to late to read any book, and I don't want to miss out on potentially wonderful reads AND authors anymore. Thank you, NetGalley for helping me find more books to fall in love with!

This collection has samples from romances, helpfully broken out into sub-genres such as comtemporary, regency, rom-com, romantasy, sci-fi, sports, and more. Some of these books I've already read, but have appreciated being able to sample some of the books I've missed, like Swordcrossed, Showmance, Fast & Reckless.

I always look forward to the new romance releasing. Especially enjoyed Jasmin’e Guillory last year. Thank you for making these collections.

An interesting preview of books! I've read several of them now, and they were worth the wait. These collections definitely make things interesting.

This was a nice taste of some romance books coming out. Not much to say other than I liked having a few samples of these titles in one place.

This is a really helpful guide to see what books came out in the genre of Romance in 2024. This is extremely helpful for me to get a sense of what to recommend to others to read this year now that they are all out! I loved how each book gave a picture of the cover (if available), a summary, and an excerpt which was usually a prologue or chapter. This helped me get a sense of each book in the catalogue, which is excellent for planning purposes as an educator.

As I’m trying to get more into romance in genres other than fantasy, this is a great overview of a number of titles I’ve heard of so that I can see which might be the best ones to start with.

This was a really helpful guide of recent romance books. I like to see what books were marketed and hopeful hits and which ones ended up being successes (first time caller especially) I’m looking forward to the 2025 edition.
