I adore Kristen Baileys books and this one was no exception. I Absolutely LOVED THIS ONE! If you’re looking for a festive, feel good read with such adorable characters then you need to put this one on your TBR list. Kristen Bailey has such a knack for writing quirky but lovable storylines and even more adorable characters that will have you laughing out loud. There was many the time I laughed out loud while listening to this one. I listened more than read and loved it in the audio format. It really brought it to life and the narrator did such an incredible job and really added to the listening experience.i hope to meet Maggie, Jasper, Frank and Leo again in the future. I’m firmly in the Christmas spirit after this one. Another great read Kristen Bailey 🥰.

UNEXPECTED.

I went into this very blind, only knowing that I liked Bailey’s Christmas romance last year. I did like the audiobook narration for this one and found it to be an easy listen. This was a bit more fiction than I was expecting but I think the heart of this story was wonderful and this was a genuinely kind book.

Maggie Field was adorable and sweet and I loved her character. And her found family work friends were the perfect group to follow around for the holidays. I loved the laugh inducing antics and the quiet, bond forming moments too. It’s a heartfelt read that was full of festive cheer. I actually really liked the way the ending came together and it was a bit of joy in my day to finish this one.

Overall audience notes:

Holiday Romance
Language: low
Romance: closed door

4⭐️ This was so cute. Predictable but super sweet as Maggie cares for her coworkers in the office and outside it too. 3.5⭐️ for the narration by Harrie Dobby. Fantastic job with Maggie but I wanted a little more for the male characters narration.

Maggie is the supervisor in the IT department with three male coworkers. To call them geeky is an understatement. They all have their flaws, but now Maggie has to make one of the fellas redundant. Worst of all, it’s Christmas and her decision is due after the holiday. How can she make such a hard decision when each of them has befriended her to the point of invitations to their family events.

Thank you to Kristen Bailey, NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This book was so sweet and cozy to read! We are first introduced to Maggie, Jasper, Leo and Frank as they work together in the basement as the forgotten IT tech department and make plans on how to help Maggie not spend the Christmas holidays alone.

Going into this book I was not expecting how wholesome the relationships would be between Maggie and the three men on this book. I truly enjoyed watching her friendship with two of the men (and one romantic relationship) blossom over the course of this book.

While this book is set in December and the Christmas holidays, it wasn't oozing with Christmas which would make it an enjoyable read at any time of year.

This was my first book by Kristen Bailey and I would love to read more from her in the future! Her writing style flowed effortlessly and made for a very enjoyable reading experience.

This audiobook is a charming holiday romance centered around one woman and her relationships with three captivating colleagues at their workplace. Set against the backdrop of the festive season, the story masterfully weaves together themes of love, friendship, and self-discovery.

The dynamics among the four characters create an engaging love triangle that keeps the tension high and the listeners invested. Each character brings a unique personality to the story, and the narrator does an exceptional job of giving them distinct voices, enhancing the overall experience.

The holiday setting adds warmth and charm, with festive parties and cozy moments that perfectly capture the spirit of Christmas. The playful banter and romantic tension make for an entertaining listen, while the protagonist’s journey of navigating her feelings and choices adds depth to the narrative.

This audiobook is ideal for anyone looking for a cozy romantic comedy that showcases the magic of the holidays through the lens of work relationships. It’s a delightful listen that will surely put you in the festive mood!

Many thanks to the author for the gifted digital copy and to @NetGalley and @stormboos_co for the advanced listening copy of the audiobook. Below is my honest review.

Maggie leads a small but fierce IT team made up of Frank, Jasper, and Leo. She loves her job and her quirky crew—and they love her just as much. So when they find out she’s spending Christmas alone, they refuse to let it happen. Their solution? Each of them takes Maggie along for their own holiday plans leading up to Christmas. What follows is a whirlwind week where Maggie finds herself fake-dating the ever-serious Frank at a wedding, rescuing baby foxes with the eccentric Jasper, and emergency babysitting with the infuriatingly handsome but caring Leo. Along the way, Maggie realizes just how much these three men mean to her, in very different ways. As the holidays unfold, their bonds deepen, secrets are shared, and they all guide each other toward the love and happiness they deserve.

This was my third Kristen Bailey novel, and once again, she perfectly balances heart and humor in her writing. She has a unique talent for taking familiar romance tropes—whether it's Teach Me (Sex Ed), Age Gap (Textbook Romance), or Boss/Employee (We Three Kings)—and turning them into something fresh and magical. While this book is definitely a romance, at its heart We Three Kings is a celebration of friendship. I enjoyed the complex, hilarious, and heartwarming dynamic between these four IT professionals working in a sketchy basement office and finding family in one another. It’s a sweet, holiday-themed story with so much heart.

The audiobook, narrated by Harrie Dobby (who also narrated Kristen’s Sex Ed), is wonderfully done and runs just under 9 hours at 1x speed. It’s a great listen for anyone looking to dive into a feel-good, festive read!

I absolutely loved this heartwarming rom-com. SUCH a charming holiday tale with found family, friends-to-lovers, and (closed-door) slow burn romance. The writing was descriptive and cozy, completely pulling me into the festive story. As this was a seasonal workplace romance, I felt there was a bit of a fun and unique twist to the trope— and while the ending was a bit predictable, I really enjoyed how it was executed and was completely satisfied with the happily-ever-afters that the VERY lovable characters got. On top of all this, the narration for the audiobook was beautifully done. It fully engaged me and made for SUCH an easy and enjoyable listen.

This book is a total charmer! It's like a cozy Christmas sweater, perfect for snuggling up with on a cold winter day. The story follows Maggie, a tech whiz who's a bit overlooked by her company. Her three quirky but adorable coworkers, Jasper, Leo, and Frank, step up to make sure she's not alone for the holidays.

The narration is a bit ok, but it's easy to get lost in the heartwarming story. I had to slow it down to 1.5-1.7x from my usual 2x speed. I love how each family is so unique, and Maggie's ability to connect with them all is truly heartwarming. It's a great reminder that family isn't always about blood; sometimes, it's about the people who choose to be in your life.

A classic Hallmark holiday read. It’s lighthearted and enjoy the read. I enjoyed the characters and their relationship. The book got a little redundant to me at some points.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a very cute book that takes place in London. 4 work friends and their interactions, a little sweet romance with zero spice. It’s a perfect weekend/holiday book. Nothing deep. Thanks to @dreamscape_media and @stormbooks_co for the advanced copies of the audio and digital copies.
Narration was very good.

This was a sweet romance and story about friendship and family. The spicy level of this book is low which was just the right amount for me as I don’t enjoy overly spicy books, there was a lot of profanity but I honestly didn’t notice it— as it seemed naturally placed. There is diversity in the characters as well. The book focuses on the employees of an IT department which vaguely reminded me of the British TV series The IT Crowd. The story's theme is focused on the 4 coworkers and their relationship as found/ chosen family.

I listened to the audiobook. The narrator has a nice British accent and reads the story well. She has excellent voice changes for elderly women and children. I always find it takes me some time to get used to her way of inflecting the male voices. It is hard to distinguish at the beginning as it is very subtle, but as you listen, you get more used to it, and it becomes easier to hear the small change in the male voicing.

This is a fun holiday romance with a slow-burn romance.

Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Select for this ALC. This is my honest review.

Another hilarious and heartfelt audiobook from my latest autobuy author. Kristin Bailey is certainly on the nice list.
Add this to your festive TBR immediately. I fell in love with the characters of We Three Kings right away and I felt like lived each Christmassy moment along side them. I laughed my head off and I really rooted for the romance and a happy ending for each person. It made me feel so happy reading it. I loved the narrator's performance, she does a fantastic job bringing this festive romance to life. I was impressed with the range of accents she provided, helping the listener to distinguish between the characters in those early chapters and embodying each of their personalities.

It’s the feel good, cozy read that every romance reader needs in the lead up to Christmas, and the perfect gift to pop in someone’s stocking.

Thanks SO much to the author, publisher and NetGalleh for a chance to review an advanced copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

My thanks for the audio book ARC goes to NetGalley and Dreamscape Select, Storm Publishing. I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

Genre: Romance, Contemporary Romance
Spice Level: Hard to determine. There is a scene without salacious details, but it's actually salacious and referred to fairly often. For that reason, I'd call it spicy—certainly not sweet.
Language: Lots of extreme profanity
Representation: One secondary character is gay, and the other is Asian.

I liked how the book centers around the employees at an IT department, their relationship as found family, and how much they care for one another.

The narration sounded quite nice, though the reader didn't change her voice much for different inflection for different characters. She definitely sounded British.

It's also fun to see the Lake District in a book! I'd love to visit but not during the winter.

This book seemed a little long to me, and maybe that's because I knew how it would shake out with the redundancy issue. However, I think many romance readers are going to love it. I'm knocking off a star for this and the language. Way to many f-bombs and other bits of profanity for me.

Happy reading!

Thank you to Netgalley, Storm Publishing and Kristen Bailey for the chance to read this book AND LISTEN to it in exchange for my honest review.

We Three Kings wowed me. If you're looking for romance and STRONG found family this holiday season- this book is for you. The story is cozy, believable and charming. Also- the way this is not an open door romance but is hotter than some open door romances is wild to me.

I know we are all used to falling in love with our MMCs, but get ready to fall in love with the whole dang friend group/work family/besties. I am equally obsessed with Jasper & Frank as I am with Leo. These are truly men written by women at their finest.

Regarding narration- this was done SO well. Perfect enunciation, clarity and enthusiasm. Definitely would happily listen to another book by this narrator.

What a wonderful story. This book was my introduction to this author and I am so glad I’ve found her. She creates wonderful fully formed real characters dealing with plausible real life issues. Maggie is an IT specialist with a team of 3. They are a very tight knit group as for the most part, ignored and or treated like third class citizens by their company. They’re actually not even invited to the company holiday party because “oops, they forgot all about them”says the head of the HR department as she is callously tasking her with a very difficult decision. She is looking for a quiet holiday alone and yet her team won’t hear of it. She spends part of the holiday with each of them all while silently dealing with her own emotional turmoil of having to make that tough decision post upon their return to the office. Love, friendship, family, work all explored in a wonderful love filled holiday rom-com. The narration was wonderful and added to the experience of this book.

I adore this heartwarming, funny Christmas romance. A group of misfit coworkers become found family. Jasper, Frank, & Leo find out their boss, Maggie will be alone at Christmas. They invite her along to their various Christmas activities & she develops a new appreciation for each of them. Unfortunately, she’s also been asked to make one of them redundant. She’s grappling with that impossible choice while growing closer to each of them. I laughed out loud several times. A lovely story of found family & unexpected connections.

Last year Kristen Bailey wrote one of my favorite Christmas romances of the year Five Gold Rings. This year she does it again with the absolutely charming and witty We Three Kings.

Meet Maggie Field who is in charge of the IT department of a financial firm. She oversees the "three kings of IT". When they find out that she will be alone during the Christmas holidays, they devise a plan to include Maggie in each of their family celebrations to make sure she is not alone. Maggie goes along with this plan, but there is a hitch. Just before Maggie leaves for the holidays she finds out that she has to layoff one person in her department in the new year.

This story is filled with so much heart and wonderful banter. Maggie is the absolute sweetest character filled with kindness and hilarious at the same time. Each family visit made me laugh and tear up a bit.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Select for the advanced listener copy. Harrie Dobby was an amazing narrator, and I listened to the book in one day. This book is a must for your Christmas romance list!
