This was one of my most anticipated reads this year because Dishonestly Yours was so fun and I loved the dynamic of a family of con artists, however I’m sad to say that Distructively Mine just didn’t hit the same as the first one.
This book was long and felt like it had a lot of filler content that didn’t add anything to the story.
I was so excited to learn more about the other characters and I felt like I didn’t get much of that. I would have loved it if this book was told from Hailey and Jake’s POV or Hailey and Oliver’s or maybe even all three! Having just Phoebe and Rocky’s POV again made things feel repetitive, and I was hoping for fresh insight into new cons and character dynamics.
While I still love the premise of this series, this one just wasn’t for me.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for sending me an advanced copy for me to read 🫶🏻

🍓 Destructively Mine is the second book in the Webs We Weave series 🕸️ and it’s packed with layers. I highly recommend reading the first book, Dishonestly Yours, to fully grasp the characters and their backgrounds.
This installment centers on Rocky and Phoebe, making it undeniably their story. Along with their siblings, they’re attempting to escape their con-artist pasts and find themselves in Victoria, Connecticut. Together, they plan one final con that could reveal their true identities and origins. However, the town harbors secrets that seem to bind them there.
From the beginning, Phoebe and Rocky share a strong connection. They navigate the complexities of a genuine relationship amidst a con, with Phoebe fake-dating Jake Waterford, who is also in on the scheme.
The dynamics and backstories of the Tinrock and Graves siblings are captivating. Despite not being related by blood, they’ve formed a bond that’s stronger than family, always looking out for one another.
Overall, I definitely recommend this book. It’s a compelling continuation of the series that delves deeper into the characters’ lives and the intricate web they’ve woven.

I was dying to be back in this world with this unique group of characters and what a ride it was. I love these characters so much. Rocky and Phoebe’s romance is everything!!! I am obsessed with them. Their story is so angsty and full of pining. I love seeing that in the flashback chapters we get. Destructively Mine had a lot more spice from these two! It was also more drama filled and so many secrets to uncover! It was truly an insane ride! the ending had me dead!
I love getting to know all the main characters better. I’m so curious about all of them. We got a lot of Hailey in this one and oh boy she’s a bit of a mess. I was kinda of pissed at her for pulling a love triangle on us especially with two characters that I actually love for her. But her whole story with Oliver is crazy! It made me mad ngl! How can it just be casual? Girl, you’re in love with each other. Byeee.
My heart hurt a lot for Jake. His family is awful. His brother ughhh. I cannot wait to see them take him down. What a sleezebag. The mother is also a monster damn. He really has no one in his family that’s good. I really hope he sticks with the gang in the end. Found family is everything. I love the friendship he is establishing with everyone, especially Rocky! They are cute eheh.
We found out so many things in this book. So many shocking revelations and things happening. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book and again the ending had me SHOOK! Trent, jesus!! And that chapter in the past, even more shocking. It just makes me feel iffy about how he feels about Phoebe, ngl. I hope he doesn’t break up the fam. Anyway, the last book in the trilogy cannot come soon enough! I need to know what happens next!!
𝜗𝜚 Tropes: best friend’s brother, mutual pining, fake relationship, small town, family secrets & drama, found family

I am well and truly obsessed with this book and these characters. They are the perfect morally grey characters that have me totally rooting for them while still questioning their choices. This one is even more twisted than the first, with more exciting and dark characters added to the mix. I don't think it is possible to be more invested in a group of characters than I am with these guys. I will be very impatiently awaiting the third book in the series.
There is a delicious amount of tension throughout this story. Both between Rocky and Phoebe and the stakes they are in. This is masterfully interwoven with funny moments to create an addictive story. It has me swooning, laughing, crying, and everything in between. Which is a testament to how much these characters mean to me.
This book does contain spice that is well-intertwined with the plot. If that is not your thing, I do not recommend this book because it is a key part of the characterization. I will also say, this was some of the most respectful and communicative spice I've ever read. I wish this were the norm in books because it was legitimately healthy in that way.
Overall, it sums up to the fact that this book has left me an emotional wreck, and I'm thankful for it. If you are looking for morally grey characters you are gonna care about, I highly recommend this series.

The Ritchie sisters never fail to wow me! They do messy family dynamics unlike anyone else. The found family also I can’t compare to anything. I love every single character. The DRAMA the reveals this book didn’t give you a break and I ate it up. I’m so excited for the finally book. TEAM OLLIE

A fun and thrilling installment in the Webs We Weave series! Phoebe and Rocky grow more in their relationship and we learn more about the town of Victoria, the secrets surrounding the Tinrock’s & Graves’ mysterious past. I definitely enjoyed getting to know the other siblings of Rocky and Phoebe. One of the reasons I love Krista & Becca’s books is the fleshed-out side characters and extended family. They do a great job of creating dynamic relationships and connections with all of the other characters. We also spend more time with Jake and his horrible, disgusting excuse for a brother, Trent. Overall, I enjoyed this and am excited to see where the story goes, especially with the reveal at the end. I will say that the middle started to drag for me, but that could also be because I hit a major reading slump and was struggling to find the motivation to read. Krista & Becca gave us another good one!

There will never be a day, a night, a minute, a moment, a breath where you aren't destructively mine. And I hope it terrifies you."
Destructively Mine was the perfect book for me. Total transparency, I read this without reading Dishonestly Yours but will absolutely be going back to it. I was introduced to Krista and Becca Ritchie with the Addicted Series, and I was obsessed with those books, so l'm not surprised that I loved this one too!
This is definitely on the long-ish side, but I felt like, even without reading the first book, there was so much background given that I didn't feel completely lost. Even though I prefer shorter chapters/books, this wasn't too much for me. I was so invested in every single character, and I can only imagine how much more I will love them once I go back and start from the beginning.
KBR has nailed this storyline. It is different and twisted and thrilling and spicy all at the same time and I loooove it. You will be on edge the whole time you are reading.
**From reading other reviews, I know that Phoebe and Rocky seem to be the main attraction but l'm feeling some strong love for Hailey, Jake and Oliver. I do love Rocky and Phoebe's intense love for each other and his fierce protectiveness over Phoebe and all of the people in his life.
Told in dual POV from Phoebe and Rocky's perspective but there was so much happening with all the other characters. It would have been fun to have chapters from their perspectives as well. These character's stories are full of lies + deceit, betrayal and crime.... but also love loyalty and protectiveness.
So, I plan to read book 1 and be on the edge of my seat until book 3 is released!
Thank you, Berkley Publishing, NetGalley and Krista & Becca Ritchie for this e-ARC in return for my honest opinion!

ARC REVIEW:
I was lucky to get an early release arc of this book, so thank you for that 🤭 I definitely took my time when reading this because I wanted to savor every moment of Phoebe + Rocky!
************************************************
"She devastates everything she touches, like poison on a vine—I was tangled up in her. Dying from the inside. And I never wanted out."
"There will never be a day, a night, a minute, a moment, a breath where you aren't destructively mine. And I hope it fucking terrifies you."
Phoebe: I hope you go to hell, Rocky.
Rocky: I'm already there, Phoebe.
Rocky: Where do you think I met you?
************************************************
I hate to admit that I loved this one more than Dishonestly yours! From the plot with all the twists and turns, and the characters, particularly rocky and phoebe who has such great chemistry to THAT ENDING *chef’s kiss*
Overall, I was completely consumed by this book in the best way possible. I always been such a big fan of Krista and Becca, since I read the addicted series. And this one definitely didn’t disappoint 🍓🕸️🕷️💕

I am enjoying the series but liked the first one a bit more than this one. It just felt a little slow for me through the majority of the book. I did like that we got the whole crew together in this book and I am intrigued to read the next book after all the plot twist and reveals at the end

Thank you to Krista and Becca Ritchie and ValentinePR for the ARC!💌🕸️🍓

Destructively Mine is book two in the Webs We Weave series, and I’ve been highly anticipating it ever since I finished my Dishonestly Yours ARC last year—so I was really excited to get my hands on this baby!
Since this book picks up right where Dishonestly Yours left off, I’d definitely recommend doing a quick reread before diving in to avoid any confusion.
₊˚⊹ ᰔ"It's danger with a soft, padded cushion at the bottom of a fall. It's danger with an antidote to the poisoned draft. It's danger with the security and safety of him." ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
I'm a little torn on this one--while a lot was happening, the story also felt dragged out and oddly slow at times, which threw the pacing off for me. The final chunk of the book was packed with plot twists and big reveals (all of which were done really well!), but I just wish they had been spread out more evenly throughout the book instead of being hit with them all at once.
Krista and Becca made me fall in love with the found family trope, and the bond between the core six --Rocky, Phoebe, Hailey, Trevor, Oliver, and Nova--is just so special in this book. Their connection really shows, especially as they go through so much heartache, chaos, and trauma together.
⁀➷"Some things are bigger than us, Phebs. But I am always, always with you. There's never been a moment where I haven't been."ೃ⁀➷
I also loved the passion between Rocky and Phoebe. Their chemistry was strong, and it was fun to see their relationship deepen. That being said, I do think the focus leaned a bit too heavily on the sexual side. It started to feel oversaturated--like almost every interaction was centered around sex--which pulled away from some of the emotional depth that I loved in Dishonestly Yours.
⋆。°✩"Your love is really big, you know? It's the sort of ride-or-die love that makes it impossible to feel alone. It's why no one wants to leave you. It's why I never would."⋆。°✩
Overall, I still really enjoyed this book! I have a feeling everything will come full circle in book three, and I'm so excited to see how it all plays out. Honestly, I think the final book is going to be the best in the series--and I can't wait to read it!

If you liked the first book you will definitely like this one too!
The twists! The turns! The spice!!! I was so exited to jump back into Phoebe and Rockys story I just love them so much. The first book ended on a cliffhanger and thankfully this one picks up right after. This book did feel a bit long and got a bit slow during some parts. But overall I enjoyed it. I can see how the plot is being set up to continue for the next book. However, I do wish we had more focus on the conning aspect of the story. I did not expect there to be a love triangle in this book but it was actually one of my favorite aspects of the book. I NEED a book dedicated to those 3 immediately!
Thank you Berkley and NetGalley for the arc!!

Thank you Krista & Becca Ritchie, Berkley, and Valentine PR for this eARC!! 😊
I LOVE when a second book hits like this one. From the very first page, Destructively Mine hits the ground running. There are so many moving parts and side plots that you never 100% know what will happen next. And I also enjoyed how much this book let us get to know all the siblings a little more, and I am definitely so invested in where their stories are going.
I really don’t want to say too much since it’s the second in a series, and I don’t want to spoil anything. BUT if you’re looking for a book that will keep you captivated the whole time, this is definitely the one. Seriously. The last half of the book had me gasping for air because I was so shocked by all the reveals.
(Quick sidenote: this book was definitely spicier and darker than the last - so just a heads up!!)

Krista & Becca Ritchie have served another angsty romance with yearning, intense steam, and twists and turns that will keep you hooked! I was nervous and excited to dive back into Rocky & Pheobe’s story because this world is intense and I didn’t want any more heartbreak for my babies. Now, while there is definitely still a lot of uncertainty…my heart wasn’t in pieces after this so I’m hopeful that the happy times might keep rolling…I hope🥹 It did take me a while to get into it, I think mostly because I couldn’t remember what the heck was going on, but also I did feel that the writing style was a bit hard to follow at times, especially when they were referring to so many characters constantly. That being said, I did stay up until 5am one night trying to finish it because by the end, I was hooked! Now I immediately need book 3 which I now know the title of (big shoutout to Berkley for blessing me with an arc!!), and can confidently say I will be diving into the moment I get a chance to read it!!

MUST read book 1 first! (do it though 😉)
💜 childhood best friends
💜 best friends older brother
💜 grumpy + grumpy
💜 small super rich costal town?
💜 con artist families
💜 family secrets
There is not much to say to keep this spoiler free between this book and book 1. But I can tell you I am INVESTED. There's romance, there's mystery and there's suspense. Then there is spice but it's with the real boyfriend, not the fake one 😉. You are just as invested in the family secrets as you are in the romance. The side characters are just as important. I'm on the EDGE of my seat for the next one!!!
(yes it ends on a cliffhanger again)
thank you, Berkley for this arc

✨big thank you netgalley for the arc!! <3✨
I was excited for the second book in this series after the cliff hanger of book one. I was liking this more than book one for a bit but I think it lost me around the 40% mark. I will break my review down into things I liked vs things I didn’t like because I had equal parts of each!
Things I liked:
- The found family and small town mystery vibes continued into this book and I enjoyed that. I like the flashback chapters we get from old cons so we can get more of a backstory with the characters. KB Ritchie are top tier at writing found family!!
- The mystery and bug reveal we were trying to solve the whole book shocked me and I had my jaw on the floor because I didn’t see it coming? Maybe it was obvious but not for me!!
Things I didn’t like:
- I felt like this was just a whole lot of Rocky and Pheobe having sex and nothing else with their relationship developed and it took up a good chunk of the book. It felt repetitive reading every second chapter of them having sex when I wanted to see more of the emotional side.
- I wish we got Hailey’s POV!!!!! This book has a lot of focus on Hailey towards the latter part of the book and I think we could have benefited from her POV, especially with the way this ended! I would’ve loved to see more of her relationship with both Jake and Oliver.
- I don’t know why, but with this series I lack any sort of connection to the characters. I don’t know what it is but I don’t feel it, even after two books! I’m definetly intrigued but I’m not emotionally invested if that makes sense?
Overall, this series are very easy reads, I listened to this one on audiobook. It’s not my all time favorite but I will definetly continue!

This book has some BIG slap-your-hand-over-your-mouth moments and WOW!! It’s not often that you read a sequel and it’s just as good as the first, but Destructively Mine is THAT GIRL!
Every twist and turn had me GAGGED and on the edge of my seat. There were SEVERAL times that I had to stay up and read more because there was noooo way I could go to bed (and have good dreams 🤣) with what was currently happening the story.
Like in Dishonestly Yours, I loved the familial relationships, romantic relationships, and friendships in Destructively Mine. This series is the epitome of found family and I am obsessed with it. I love how every character has a strong individual presence and background, but they all work really well together and have profound character and story development both together and separately.
There wasn’t a single word in this book that I didn’t enjoy, and I can’t wait to see where the story goes in the third book after that insane ending. My only question is: (I’m not a mathematician but something isn’t adding up,) is this book set in 2012/2013?? Or am I crazy???

I absolutely adored this book! I had so many theories and absolutely none of them were right. I had no idea where this story was going and I am so happy about it. Normally I have some kind of idea about a plot twist, but this one completely threw me for a loop. I feel like most of this book was fluff, and just led up to the plot twist. All of the time they spent on this con went right down the drain and I absolutely hate this for them. Hailey is so special to me, she has put so much weight on her shoulders and doesn’t want to let it go, she likes the pressure even when it drowns her.

Destructively Mine is the second book in Krista and Becca's “Webs We Weave” series. I could not wait to read this one, especially with the first book ending on a bit of a cliffhanger. This one picked right up where Dishonestly Yours ended. The authors did an amazing job answering all of the questions I had previously.
I love Pheobe and Rocky even more in this book than in the first. I feel like we got to know them better. I loved getting glimpses of the past. Their love is my absolute favorite.
I enjoyed learning more about the other siblings in this book. You really get to see them develop more than the first. I can’t say too much more without spoiling but I can’t wait to see where this series takes me! I need the third now!!!

4.5⭐️ An exhilarating read that captivates from the very first page. The chemistry between the characters is electric, and the plot is filled with unexpected twists and gripping drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The authors have truly outdone themselves, delivering a story that is both heartfelt and thrilling. The character development is exceptional, allowing readers to connect deeply with their journeys. The dialogue is sharp and witty, adding layers of humor and tension that enhance the overall experience. The world-building is immersive, making it easy to lose yourself in the narrative. Each chapter leaves you wanting more, and the pacing is perfect, ensuring that the story flows seamlessly. A must-read for fans of romance and suspense!
