Perfect Fit was such a sweet and emotionally rich story. In high school, Josie was best friends with Will's sister, always in the other's orbit but never really close. Then one unexpected kiss ruined whatever fragile connection they had, and the one friendship she cherished the most. Now, a decade later, they end up working together, and something begins to shift. What starts as a cautious friendship slowly becomes deeper, layered with unspoken regrets, lingering feelings, and a beautiful sense of hope.
Josephine Davis felt incredibly relatable. Like her, I spent a long time putting my career above everything else, believing that success would be enough to feel whole. Watching her question that belief to realize that maybe she deserves support and a life outside of constant productivity resonated.
Will Grant is wonderful, patient, thoughtful, and deeply respectful. He never tries to change Josie but holds space for her to figure out who she wants to be and what she needs. He lets her be messy, complicated, and human. Watching him show up for her made my heart ache in the best way.
I also adored the friendship between Josie and Cami. That bond added heart and levity to the story, grounding the romance in something even bigger: the love we find in our chosen people.
I listened to this on audio, and the narrator did a fantastic job. Every character had a distinct voice, and the emotion behind the story came through in the performance. However, as good as the narration was, the narrator did not fit the character. She seemed too old for Josie.

a cute contemporary romance, but because i had high expectations going into it, it ended up being just okay.

This book was an absolute delight to read! It had everything I look for — engaging writing, memorable characters, and a story that stayed with me long after I turned the last page. The author’s voice is distinct and compelling, making it easy to get lost in the world they created, no matter the genre.
I'm incredibly grateful to the publisher for the early copy. It was such a joy to read this in advance, and I can’t wait for more readers to experience it. Highly recommend!

This was a cute romance to listen to. I love the boss babe vibes and that he doesn't try to take over or change her business or her, just there to help however she is wanting it. I am not a huge fashion person, but it was fun to read about the industry. It was fun and I enjoyed it.

I adored this sweet second chance love story from the very beginning, and was so glad I read it as the perfect palate cleanse. Featuring female friendship and a forbidden love interest, PERFECT FIT was a fun read that left me with all the feels.
I did an immersive read with the print and audio, and loved both formats. The narration was done by Katharine Leonard, and a great choice!
*many thanks to RB Media and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

I really wanted to love this, it has the building blocks of everything I like in contemporary romance: opposites attract, forced proximity, humor... but I really didn't love Josie. She's hard working, but the chemistry was not there between them. The romance was severely lacking.
I was just let down in the plot and the characters, the narration was quite lovely. Katharine Leonard truly put her whole self into the performance and it made me want to finish despite the lack of interesting source material.
Thank you to NetGalley & RBmedia for an ALC copy of Perfect Fit.

Perfect Fit is such a sweet book! Themes of second chance romance, female friendship, and self empowerment really made this book full of heart.
Clare Gilmore did an amazing job with character development, making the characters feel fleshed out and familiar to the reader. The storylines alongside the romance (Josie’s friendships, her business, and learning to trust herself) felt purposeful and cohesive, rather than feeling like there was too much going on. And Josie and Will were so cute together!!! Their relationship was tender, passionate, and healthy. Not to mention, Will Grant is the ultimate book boyfriend!

Thanks Rb Media, NetGalley and author for this audiobook.
This was a cute story. Yes women can have it all.
Who doesn't love a book with tropes like; Second chance, Workplace Romance and x best friends brother.
3.5⭐️

It was pretty good up until the first sex scene and then I didn’t care anymore. Will and Josie definitely had good character arcs that I enjoyed, and I thought it was nice that Josie was the CEO, for once it’s a woman, it was an appreciated change and added interesting themes to her as a person. Unfortunately the ending got quite boring and repetitive, the whole story with Zoe was a little dumb, but I also kind of understood where it stemmed from since they were teenagers, teens do dumb shit, that’s the point of teenagehood. So not bad by any means, but also no kicking my feet in the air and giggling. 3⭐️

Women can have it all! Josie is a CEO of her own company who battles stigmas and attention with grace and human aspects. It is empowering and a love story of second chances all in one. It is hard not to root for both Will and Josie not only romantically, but professionally as well. As the title says "perfect fit"!

This was a cute story! Will is the cutest! But I didn't love Josie. She got on my nerves a bit. And the whole drama from high school felt extremely immature for adults closing in on 30!
The book started out with a great meet-cute. The story seemed to drag and felt unnecessarily long. But there were some great moments throughout the book!

Josie is a 27 fashion CEO and her ex best friend’s twin brother literally bikes into her car. That brings her past into the present and her future into question. A cute rom-con with a happy ending set in the world of millennial fashion. Thanks to NetGalley for the copy of the audio book.

A high school mistake coming back to haunt a successful CEO of a fashion company, a forbidden love interest, and all the drama, laughs and tears expected of a modern romcom. This book is funny, earnest, and all too familiar to anyone who has ever suffered from self induced burnout due to pressure they manufactured. Will Josie find work life balance, a healthy love life, and success for her company? You’ll have to read to find out!

I listened to the audio book version of this, and I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a fun read with all of the banter and shared mistakes. The characters were well written, and the plot was on point. The author did such a good job with this book.. I thought it had some grit and also uplifting at the same time. The narration was also well done. I think it gave a more feeling to this book. I can't wait to read more from this author. I absolutely recommend this book to the romance readers.
Thank you Net Galley, RB Media, and Clare Gilmore

I enjoyed the character development and the characters themselves. I love that the main character learned to love herself and grew. Didn’t like the cliffhanger ending because I need to know!!

Clare Gilmore has become a must read author with another fun novel. Josie was so relatable and you cannot help but root for her. Will was such a breath of fresh air - I always love finding a compassionate MMC. The side characters were strong (a must for a good rom com) and I could see Gilmore expanding this universe if she wanted to. And if you haven’t read Love Interest, her debut, I highly recommend it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Liked it, fun while I was reading it
This was a perfectly cute workplace rom-com. We have Josephine, the CEO of her own fashion empire and Will, the consultant she was forced to hire by one of her investors. He turns out to be an ex best friend's twin brother and there's history there. Anyway, the characters are quirky, the communication is great, and Will is written very well. I enjoyed it!
The narrator, Katharine Leonard, did a good job, I had no trouble understanding who was saying what, where, when, and with what expression/intension.
Thank you to RB Media, NetGalley, and author Clare Gilmore for providing me with a digital ARC copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Perfect Fit is out October 29, 2024.

I really enjoyed this book.
From the initial meeting, where Will, the male lead, bikes into Josie's, the female lead's, car, you could tell there was going to be a lot of tension, but I like that Josie was balanced and didn't let the past interfere with how she reacted in the present. She seemed really in-charge, and so I loved rooting for her as a female CEO. The only parts I didn't like were that I did think the story of their past got alluded to too much with not enough details, so it seemed to drag out a bit. And also, Josie not participating in social media but being in fashion and caring what others think of how she looks, just didn't feel realistic. Besides that, I loved the story. Listened to it as audiobook and thought the narration was great and easy to get into. Would recommend for anyone looking for a next rom-com.

I loved this book and the narrator. Characters were somewhat relatable and it was an easy listen that flew by. Was my first Clare Gilmore book and I will for sure be listening to more of her!

Perfect Fit by Clare Gilmore is a charming rom-com with a fun premise and a likable cast of characters. The story follows Josephine Davis, an ambitious CEO of a fashion brand, and Will Grant, her new consultant and the twin brother of her estranged best friend. Their slow-burn romance is set against a backdrop of work stress, personal growth, and unresolved tension from the past.
The book has plenty of cute moments and heartfelt insights about balancing ambition and love. Josie’s struggles with burnout felt authentic, and the witty banter between her and Will was enjoyable. However, while the setup was promising, I found myself not fully invested in their romance. The chemistry between Josie and Will felt a bit underdeveloped, and the pacing of the story dragged in places, making it hard to stay completely engaged.
I appreciated the themes of forgiveness and self-reflection, particularly when it came to Josie’s strained relationships. Still, some conflicts—like the fallout with Will’s sister—wrapped up too neatly, leaving me wanting more depth.
Overall, Perfect Fit is a light and sweet read with an endearing message about slowing down and finding balance. While it didn’t quite capture my heart, fans of second-chance romance and workplace dynamics might find it a delightful escape.
