This was really cute! I liked how this was more than just a typical rom-com, it included struggles that many people could have and made the book more realistic. I also liked the narrator, she did a really good job with this!

I'm not usually one to talk about Book Boyfriends, but Will Grant might change my mind! He's the sweetest and most thoughtful MC I've read in a long time. He always met Josie where she was at and was constantly doing what he could to make her life easier. I loved it!
I liked Josie's character too--her workaholic tendancies are certainly relatable, and I totally could see myself in her. (I'm not quite as much of a badass, but find it hard to say no at work at times).
Their romance is slow-burning, but the banter between the characters makes it a quick read. I appreciated that the third-act conflict felt realistic, and there wasn't any absurd miscommunication that's so common in rom-coms.
I'm an instant Clare Gilmore fan, and already can't wait to see what's next! (I just bought Love Interest!)

I really enjoyed this audio book, I wasn't sure at the start but then got very invested and wanted to know more after this one ended! This is my first book by the author and I will definitely be checking out more. I gave this 4.25 on my reading apps. I would highly recommend this book to anyone I don't particularly read alot of romance but this does cover some serious topics also including burnout. Well narrated also. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the audio arc.

**Perfect Fit**
by Clare Gilmore
Narrated by Katharine Leonard
I eagerly began listening to the audiobook, drawn in by the intriguing premise, but I soon found myself losing interest and unable to connect with the characters on a deeper level. Josephine Davis, a passionate and driven CEO, has dedicated her heart and soul to her beloved clothing company, Revenant. She has invested her entire personality into making it a success—a labor of love that resonates throughout the narrative.
However, when her biggest investor unexpectedly orders her to hire a consultant, Josie is taken aback to discover that the last person she wants to work with is Will Grant—the twin brother of her former best friend. This twist adds a layer of tension that could have been exciting, yet the execution fell flat for me.
Additionally, the narrator, Katharine Leonard, while talented, did not provide enough distinct voices for each character. This lack of differentiation made it difficult for me to keep track of who was speaking, leading to confusion about the plot and story on several occasions. I had high hopes for this audiobook, but unfortunately, it turned out not to be the perfect fit for me this time around.

3.5-3.75 rounded up.
Narrator: The narrator chosen for this story is a good fit. She brought the story and each of the characters to life and her voice felt like a good match for the main character.
Story: This is a childhood/teen friends to lovers story. Forbidden romance.
Overall I enjoyed this story. The characters were fun and enjoyable to read. I liked the relationships the main character had with her friends and the growth with her and the male main character. The main character showed personal growth throughout the story.
The story started off well for me, but toward the middle it did feel like it was dragging on. I could have done without the hooking up scenes, but this is personal preference. The author included other scenes between the female main character and her love interest showing their growing connection and care for one another. Again, Personal preference.
I do think a lot of romance readers would enjoy this book. I do like the author's writing style and I would give this book another try.
Thank you RB Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

Clare Gilmore has done it again! She's quickly become one of my favorite contemporary romance authors and I loved the banter and chemistry between our main love interests!

Clare Gilmore did it again! Perfect Fit was such a fun read. It really is for the girl bosses out there. I did not know I needed a second chance romance with an overworked CEO where the love interest is her ex best friend’s TWIN brother but I did! The re-meet cute was so funny and unexpected! Josie was a joy to read and so relatable, despite being a CEO under 30, and that is a testament to Gilmore’s writing. Will is one hundred percent book boyfriend material and I will leave it at that because I do not have enough words without giving spoilers. The cover is lovey and Katharine Leonard’s narration really added to the reading experience. I highly recommend picking this one up!

This book was about corporate life, love, having it all and finding yourself with the one you love.
I really liked this audiobook. The narrators were awesome too!
Many thanks to Net Galley and RBMedia for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Clare Gilmore writes the most lovely stories! Josie is such a hardworking character who needs the gentle but firm reminder that her worth is not tied to her grind, and she deserves all the love and peace. Will is adorable, definitely making me swoon throughout the whole story. Will is able to love Josie in the most special way she needs, giving her space but being consistent in showing his intentions. I love the way these two have a second chance at meeting each other, at actually knowing the other despite years old misconceptions.
they truly are the perfect fit and I was touched at the beautiful, honest, gentle way they showed it throughout this whole story. thank you for the alc :)

i like to begin my reviews with general thoughts. however, in this case, i’ll start with characters because i liked them much more than story/plot:
josie i really liked the main character, Josie. i connected to her in so many different ways; mostly to her habits and the way she thinks. she can’t see anything expect her work and even though i found her annoying i couldn’t deny similar characteristics.
will again, he was doing some crazy annoying stuff as an adult but his love toward josie covers everything he did. he is the most patient person i’ve read about lately. he was there every time she needed him; he made her feels safe and helped her overcome workaholism and challenges on her way.
-
they did wrong as teenagers, we won’t deny it. but zoe did wrong too. i really think is important to communicate! please!!! they just had to talk to figure everything out.
-
why 3 stars? too many scenes i skipped. i believe the book could be shorted and it would be more investing that way. but still would recommend for fast readers!🤍
anyway, work trip scenes…🤭
Thank you NetGalley

Josephine has been focused on her business to the exclusion of most anything else in her world. It started out as hobby and with then social media took over and with the help of her best friend and an amazing investor she is living her dream. When her investor forces her to hire a consultant, she is reunited with an old friend/crush/brother of her former BFF. Now that Will is back into her life she is forced to deal with some emotions from the past and yet she is so clenched it takes her almost falling apart and losing it all to figure out what matters most and correct her trajectory. She is doing her best to keep it together and keep all the wheels on the bus, but social media giveth and can just as easily take away. It was an interesting listen to Josephine finally letting go a bit and finding her center with Will, the consultant, her former BFF and most importantly, finding her own center. The narration added to the listening experience.

I consumed this book whole. I had a few days off from work and I listened to this one while doing laundry and cleaning the house. It was sweet and a little bit sultry but also wholesome and complete. Josie and Will are both established adults with established lives and when they literally collide sparks fly and the past comes back to low key haunt them.
Will and Josie’s work relationships quickly evolves into so much more and in the process they are forced to deal with the pieces and people they left unfinished seemingly a lifetime ago.
This one is such a wholesome and fun read. I loved it. You will too. Swear it.

Perfect Fit by Clare Gilmore is a contemporary romance exploring themes of ambition, healing, and love. Josie Davis, a driven CEO, partners with Will Grant, her estranged friend's twin, sparking a slow-burn romance. Their story blends workplace dynamics with personal growth, tackling past traumas and rebuilding relationships. Overall, it’s an emotional, witty, and satisfying read, perfect for fans of modern romance novel

The Girl Boss romance.
<b<For the triers, for the tired ones,
and for anyone who ever thought:
If I don't have the right outfit I'm not going.</b>
Josie is a young CEO trying to juggle her clothing company, her best friend's bachelorette, and her business’s future. When she goes looking for a consultant, she is hesitant to find it is Will Grant – the twin and reason she ruined her friendship with her ex best friend.
Obviously, the more Josie and Will hang out, the more they are attracted to each other. But Josie is too busy with managing her company and Josie’s not convinced she has time for a relationship.
The friendships in the book was sooo good! The support and encouragement and network Josie has is heartwarming. The shenanigans and enforced fun and relaxation shows that working for your career must be balanced with sociality and downtime.
Josie managing burnout and fallout was a key theme.
Will is also very patient and knows that Josie needs to make her own decisions and gives her the space to do so, whilst reminding her work shouldn’t be your whole life.
The communication and understanding was *chef’s kiss*.
The first 65% was definitely the strongest - more focused on girl bossing and managing your life, friendships, aspirations, and expectations. After that, there is just a lot of spicy scenes and yearning.
The second chance romance plot line felt weak to me - the misunderstanding felt stupid and small and I couldn’t understand why such a big deal was made of it.
There is also a lot of pop culture references, so if that annoys you be forewarned! I personally enjoyed it!
Thank you to RBmedia for sending me the audiobook arc in exchange for a review!

Josie is a overworked CEO at a fashion company and Will is a consultant hired to help. But he is also her ex best friend’s brother that she kissed 9 years ago.
They need to travel a lot together and the proximity make them realize that they have feelings for each other. But Josie is not convinced that she has time for a relationship.
I liked Will very much. He wanted to help Josie and made her realize that there is more than work. The relationship developed slowly and their banter and overall interaction between then was very cute.
I listened to the audiobook narated by Katharine Leonard and she did a good job getting me involved in the story.
This is my first book by Claire Gilmore and it convinced me to read more.
I received an advanced audio copy of the book from Netgalley and RBmedia. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

the most perfect audiobook to EVER. i want her to narrate my life. i have never heard such an expressive voice and every character was so distinct and fleshed out due to her work, im absolutely obsessed. this was perfection in every way and their story was only heightened by the narration, i highly recommend!!

What an absolutely stunning love story between Will and Josephine that I could not get enough of!! I smiled the entire time I was listening and was enamored by the narration.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for this eARC!
I loved this book, it was just what I needed to read. I enjoyed how Josie’s & Will’s story developed. Josie created a start up clothing business & is a workaholic. Will is her ex best friend’s twin brother. It all starts with a bicycle accident to bring back a night from nine years ago.
Will is the perfect guy! Loyal, secure, smart, and totally supportive of Josie. They are both big on communication & it was entertaining to see them work through the last 9 years that they missed in each other’s lives.
The audio narrator was perfect for this book!
Overall would recommend this cute romance book!

Thank you, NetGalley, for a copy of Perfect Fit in exchange for my honest opinion.
I simply loved this book! We have complex and tridimensional characters all around with their own struggles, shortcomings, and motivations that make this story relatable!
Josie and Will get reacquainted, and they work together to help her start-up business. They have some history, but they will try to put it aside to have a work relationship, so her company gets the assistance it needs to get a sustainable certification Josie is duty-bound to have.
I particularly loved Josie's character. She is a full adult who makes rational choices and is not stubborn for the sake of plot beats. All her actions make sense with her story and character, and I will say that was refreshing to read.
Same for Will!! He is the sweetest!!! It's so good to read about a man who respects boundaries but still shows clear interest in the FMC and WANTS to clearly communicate with her. My heart!!
I listened to the audiobook and I will say the voice narrators did a fantastical job! The interpretation (and even tone of voice) was perfect for the characters and I felt fully immersed in the story that ended up finishing in one day!!

This sounds like a great book. I will say that the narrator did a great job with girls voices. But when it came to guy voices...it sounded like a softer girls voice....so that made the love scenes kind of awkward to listen to.
As for the book, I have mixed feelings. There are things I enjoyed but lots I did not. There is quite a bit of swearing and an open door love scene. I am tired of kissed bruised or swollen lips. I get the social meeting anxiety; I wouldn't want to be a kid in this day and age. Is there really a guy that only wants to cater to a women with no grumbles?? If he was real, I wish there were more of them.
