This was a very cute novella. It was the first Erica Ridley book that I had read and was very impressed with her writing. Lady Amelia likes to manage, it makes her feel useful. She manages her brother's house and when it comes to her attention that an annual Christmas ball is cancelled due the the venue being destroyed it becomes her mission to get a venue, get it decorated and get invites out in twelve days all while getting everything approved by Lord Sheffield who has a very strict time regiment.
She ends up getting Sheffield out of his routine and it drives him nuts but shows him that not everything is about work and play.

I'm very sorry to reply so late. This book was a 'mistake click' — I thought the link in email would take me to NetGalley page, not actual acceptance of ARC. Still, I think that I read this book but didn't get to review it prior to RL interrupting all GR & reviewing activities.

Very belated but thank you for email re: ARC. All the best in your current works :-)

This was the fun and entertaining story of Lady Amelia and Lord Benedict. I loved both of them, especially together. The storyline kept me interested and entertained, and I'm already for more of the series.
