Don’t Open Your Eyes is a tense, twisty psychological thriller that hooks you from the very first dream and doesn’t let go. Liv Constantine delivers another addictive page-turner with a unique premise—what if your nightmares weren’t just dreams, but glimpses of a terrifying future?
Annabelle Reynolds is a strong, compelling protagonist with a seemingly perfect life that begins to unravel when her vivid, disturbing dreams start coming true. As reality and premonition blur, the suspense builds steadily, and you’re left questioning what’s real, what’s inevitable, and how much power Annabelle truly has to change her fate. The stakes rise sharply when her daughter’s life is threatened, and from there, it’s a breathless race to uncover the truth.
The character development—especially of Annabelle—is a standout, and Constantine’s knack for writing layered, believable women shines here. The plot twists were genuinely surprising and kept me guessing throughout. If anything, I was left wanting a bit more explanation behind the supernatural element of the dreams—but the gripping storytelling and emotional depth more than made up for it.
Overall, Don’t Open Your Eyes is a chilling, original thriller with a strong female lead, sharp twists, and just the right amount of eerie uncertainty. A must-read for fans of psychological suspense with a supernatural edge.

OBSESSED - Liv Constantine does it again! I couldn't put this book down, it had me hooked from day 1 and even if you thought you saw the twist coming, another one comes right for you. I was slightly confused with the twist at parts but the last 20% of the book had my jaw on the floor. Would recommend for anyone and everyone!

This was good! Not great…or at least not as great as LC’s other books. There was a lot to like. The twists. The dual timelines/multiple POVs. The surprise ending. But I couldn’t get past Anabelle’s dreams. I can suspend disbelief as much as the next gal but I was hoping for resolution at the end, perhaps in the form of an aha moment…and it just never came.
This is worth reading but I won’t be adding it to my favorites list.

Don’t Open Your Eyes is an easy, fast-paced psychological thriller with an intriguing twist on the familiar husband-and-wife-secrets trope. The writing is smooth and straightforward, making it extremely readable. I flew through the pages, eager to see what would happen next.
What really sets it apart is the psychic dreams element. It adds a fresh spin to a genre where I have read many similar plots. While some of the secrets, affairs, and online dangers felt familiar, the dream angle was unique and helped keep me hooked.
I found Annabelle to be a sympathetic, layered character, and I was intrigued by the hints about her past love. Scarlett’s point of view also felt real in many ways, though at first her online naivety seemed hard to buy. It helped that the book later explained she thought she was talking to her brother, which made her trust more believable in context.
The pacing was one of the book’s biggest strengths. It never dragged and kept me engaged throughout. Even so, the ending fell a bit short for me. The resolution felt rushed and relied on long, expositional monologues to explain everything rather than letting it unfold naturally. I also finished not feeling entirely clear about all the details, which made the conclusion less satisfying.
Overall, this is a solid, enjoyable thriller that will keep you turning pages quickly. It did not hit five-star territory for me because it lacked the deep emotional impact and lasting effect I want from the best psychological thrillers, but I would still recommend it to readers looking for a fast, engaging read with a slightly different twist.

Always a fan of anything written by Liv Constantine and I devoured this in one sitting. Short chapters, beautifully paced and I was hooked from the very beginning! Thank you so much Netgalley for this copy!

This book had some interesting twists but it also left a lot of ends undone. I wanted to finish it so I could see what was going on, and I think the author did a good job of creating suspense.

Interesting story. When you think it is done not quite yet. The timeline jumps require you to pay attention. I did not know who was guilty until the very end.

A dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep… or in Annabelle’s case more like a nightmare. Annabelle’s waking life seems perfect- married to a handsome doctor, two beautiful girls and a fulfilling career. But when she goes to sleep at night, scary scenarios plague her mind. No big deal right- until they start coming true. Can she trust her dreams or is it all just coincidence? Told in now and then chapters, Annabelle’s story unfolds in a way that will leave your jaw on the floor. I would have rated it higher had it not been for the spooky vibes making the thriller less grounded IMO. Real life is always scarier than magical vibes. Still a really good read though- and bonus points for being based in CT where I live. Always fun to see the home state represented.

As a parent, reading books where anything bad could potentially happen to a child is a struggle for me. I found myself dreading reading the next page, not because the writing was bad, but because I'm expecting the worst for the kid in the story. The pacing wasn't as quick as I like, but all in all, it was a good story.

Thank you to @ballantinebooks and @netgalley for my gifted copy!
I’m probably the last thriller lover on Earth who hasn’t read The Last Mrs. Parrish, but at least now I can say I’ve read a Liv Constantine book.
I had a really hard time getting into this book. It’s probably a quick read, but it took me awhile because I just wasn’t super into it. I loved the premise behind it, but found the writing to be overly simplistic and almost…juvenile? This is obviously an unpopular opinion lol.
Once the story picked up, I did find some twists to be surprising, and some to be predictable. I had a hard time connecting to the characters, although I did pity Annabelle’s position and the fact that she doesn’t feel like she can disclose her problems to her husband.
I really liked the dreams as premonitions idea, and almost found that it kind of fizzled out in the middle, but picked up a bit at the end. The ending was jam packed with action but felt rushed.
This one has had a lot of positive feedback, but ultimately for me it just fell flat.

Annabelle is happily married to a neurologist with two daughters and a successful career. She begins having some realistic dreams that seem to all be coming true. They involve not only her, but her daughters which terrifies her. She is constantly in fear of something bad happening to them.
The story is interesting enough to have kept me reading, yet it felt slow and I was ready for something more to happen. I was about 75% in when things took a big turn and I was glued to the pages with each chapter revealing more twists! I did understand all the background Constantine needed to include to make the ending make sense, but I do wish it had moved along a little faster.
My thanks to Net Galley and Bantam Books for an advanced copy of this e-book.

Such a good twisty and shocking thriller!! I absolutely loved this and didn't want to put it down! The characters are well written, the plot is unique and really draws you on from the beginning. There was constant tension throughout, so the pacing felt just right and never was slow. The ending got a little repetitive, but I prefer that over being confused about what's happening!

For starters, thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group, Ballantine, for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. It was so hard to put down. HOWEVER, the middle part of the book started to drag on with the same plot idea over and over. I get that we’re trying to build suspense here, but it was taking a little too long to do that,
I feel like the ending had a lot of information all at once as well as the plot twists were trying to drop. I don’t think I fully processed everything that happened until the very last chapter…. Which I didn’t like.
In all, I did enjoy reading this book. It was a decent psychological thriller with multiple different perspectives and even a time change with there being flashbacks incorporated. While not all information was necessarily needed to get the story across, I still think this book was good.

Could not put this down! The story was fast-paced, thrilling, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, wondering what could happen next. The beginning, the build up to the story, usually is a little slow for me but this one was perfectly crafted to keep me invested in the story. The writing flowed so well that I was immediately drawn in and I was halfway through without even realizing I’d been reading that long. The twists and turns kept me guessing and, though I figured out one or two, this didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story.

I’ve read so many thrillers, the average ones start blending together a little bit. It started out strong, I got a little bored somewhere in the middle, and it ended decently. It was worth reading but I doubt I’ll remember it a year from now. Thanks so much to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review - it’s out now!

Another great read by Liv Constantine! Captivating from beginning to end. Secrets, lies and crazy great reveals. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Thank you NetGalley, Liv Constantine and Bantam Books for the opportunity to read and review this book

Annabelle has a great life with a husband who is devoted, two wonderful daughters, and a career she loves. But when she starts to have disturbing dreams of a future where she hates her husband and her daughter's lives are in danger, she starts to question herself. Is it an overactive imagination or does she have something to worry about? As details from the dreams start to happen in real life, she knows these are just dreams and she needs to make a choice to trust her premonitions. As life collides with her future dreams, she needs to take control of her destiny.
This one was fast, twisty and entertaining. Some of it was a bit predictable but a fun popcorn thriller! I liked the past and present storylines and figuring out how they fit together. Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the e-book for review.

Liv Constatine has been a very hit or miss author for me, but I ended up liking this book quite a bit! To be honest, I think it helped that I was in the middle of watching the kdrama While You Were Sleeping while I was reading this. I genuinely think my feelings towards that show positively impacted my reading experience. This book primarily follows Annabelle, who is basically living the American dream. She has a loving husband, two beautiful daughters, and a career she loves. Things look perfect from the outside...but not everything is as it seems. Early on, Annabelle starts having these terrifying nightmares of the supposed future. In the dreams, crazy things happen where she hates her husbands and harm befalls her children. She initially plays them up as just dreams…because who wouldn't, right? But when things from her nightmares start happening in real life, she doesn't know what to think or believe anymore.
Overall, this was a quick and fun read. I loved the nightmare setup and felt like the 3 different povs really helped to propel the story forward. I didn’t love the direction the plot ultimately went in the end, but at least I didn’t find it overly predictable. I also wish the fantastical dream elements had been explored a little bit further or at least continued to be a main plot point by the end. It was essentially the aspect of the plot that really sucked me in at the start, but then it gradually became less prominently featured as the book progressed.

I loved this mystery that came with a mysterious "WIFE" POV. The story begins when Annabelle begins having horrible nightmares, which is bad enough, but then they begin to come true. What makes it worse is that nobody, not even her husband, believes her but rather think it's a coincidence or she's just gone a bit crazy.
James is a man that Annabelle meets who is a bit more supportive and listens to her about her bad dreams. She takes comfort in his attentive ear and support of what she tells him. I began to suspect an affair coming on.
Then we have the WIFE POV and we aren't told who she is...yet...until it brilliantly unfolds and we know who she is and why she has her own POV.
Then add Annabelle's daughter, Scarlet, who also has her own POV and she' scared me! Why? Because she was on the internet and talking with who at least appeared to be an adult male & every mother's worst nightmare. So the suspense was on full blast.
Then came the twists and and unexpected things that I had no clue were coming. I love it when the author can pull that off so well. Great job!

Don’t Open Your Eyes is a tense, unsettling read that taps into every parent’s worst fear. I liked how Liv Constantine builds that creeping sense of dread as Annabelle’s dreams start bleeding into reality. The premise feels fresh enough to keep the pages turning, even if some twists are a little easy to spot. It’s the kind of book you race through in one or two sittings, wanting to see how Annabelle tries to outsmart fate. Overall, it’s a solid psychological thriller that delivers on suspense and keeps you questioning how much of our lives we can really control.
