When a goddess and a mortal meet in dreams, will the battles of gods and mortals allow them to find happiness?

The plot is insanely elaborate, to the point that I feel like describing anything to do with it beyond the basic question above would be a disservice to readers. The characters are just as complex, with the bonds between them compelling, even when it's for all the wrong reasons.

Does it sometimes stumble under the weight of the greatness Ross is trying to tell? A bit. If you're coming into this looking for things to critique, you will find them. However, every once in a while, I find authors whose way of writing transcends the story they're telling and it bespells you. I think Ross could write a recipe, complete with the mandatory 10 paragraphs of babble before getting to the actual recipe, and I would read through it all just because I enjoy her writing that much. The fact that her characters and the world they inhabit are interesting in their own right is the cherry on top.

Delighted thanks to NetGalley and Saturday Books for the wonderful read!
