The Perfect Divorce was the perfect sequel to the Perfect Marriage — I loved all the different POVs!!! The plot was so entertaining and I flew through this audiobook so fast. I just found out there will be a third book too and I literally can’t wait to see Sarah again!!

Geneva Rose delivers another fast-paced, twisty thriller in The Perfect Divorce. The story centers around a high-profile attorney, facing her own crumbling marriage just as she becomes entangled in a case that blurs the lines between personal and professional.
The characters, especially the protagonist, are flawed but compelling. If you enjoy domestic thrillers with moral grey areas and a strong female lead, this one’s for you. While some of the twists felt a little over-the-top, it was undeniably entertaining from start to finish.

Revisiting Perfect Marriage and diving into Perfect Divorce was an absolute treat. The sequel exceeded my expectations in every way. The drama and twists in Perfect Divorce were on another level, and I couldn't put it down once I started reading. It’s rare for a second book in a series to be even more captivating than the first, but this one definitely was.
The storyline was unpredictable, with a level of tension that kept me on edge throughout. The characters' growth and the complications in their relationships added so much depth to the plot, and there were moments where I honestly didn’t know what would happen next. The author’s ability to build suspense and deliver unexpected twists is truly impressive.
I don’t want to spoil anything, but Perfect Divorce is packed with more drama and surprises than I could have imagined. If you enjoyed the first book, this one will keep you hooked from start to finish. I’m already eagerly anticipating what will happen in the next book in the series.

This was exactly what I was looking for in terms of a domestic thriller. The plot was twisted in the right way, and the characters were developed adaquately for a fast read. This was just enough.

This story takes place eleven years after “The Perfect Marriage” (yes, that book is necessary to read either as this duet or as a standalone)
Sarah Morgan is back, more strategic and manipulative than ever.
Bob Miller is just as privileged as before.
The take on this story was so dark and twisted and incredibly entertaining. Multiple pov’s brought each character to life- I felt like I was really in their thoughts and it gave me whiplash.
The entire time I didn’t know who I sided with in Bob and Sarah’s divorce. Both were so secretive and so strategic in their plan. I was mindblown.
The way Jeneva intertwined the plot from book one into this book but made it not feel like a sequel but more as it’s own story was perfect. The plot of this was heavily based off of the end of “The Perfect Marriage” but she made this couple face the same, if not more trouble then the last. The problems they faced together and separate, the terror they caused on each other, trying to out think the other and come out on top was so incredibly well written.
I want to say so much more but I can’t until you guys read it! Make sure you read “The Perfect Marriage” first so nothing gets spoiled in this book. I loved it from beginning to end and simply could not stop listening.

**5 Stars – Absolutely Gripping!**
I devoured *The Perfect Divorce* and loved it even more than its predecessor, *The Perfect Marriage*! From page one, I was hooked—this thriller is packed with gripping twists that kept me on edge the entire time. I couldn’t put it down! Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy—I’ll definitely be purchasing a physical copy for my shelves!

This was one of the best books that I have read in a while and the sequel out does "The Perfect Marriage". Sarah Morgan does it again! This book held my interest and kept me entertained from start to finish. I would definitely read "The Perfect Marriage" before starting this book so you can make the connections.

Another twisty, domestic suspense where everyone's motives are murky, there are lots of lies, scheming and unlikable characters but I couldn't put it down. Sure to satisfy fans of the first book but strong enough to standalone, this was EXCELLENT on audio with a full cast of narrators. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

ALC 🎧📖 Review: The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose

I feel like this one had a little too much going on. I had a hard time connecting with the characters the way I did in The Perfect Marriage. If you enjoy domestic thrillers, I do think you’ll enjoy this one. I just expected something a little less far-fetched.
Thank you to @netgalley and @blackstonepublishing for this ALC in exchange for an honest review.

It’s been eleven years since high-powered attorney Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam, against the charge of murdering his mistress. Sarah has long since moved on, starting a family with her new husband, Bob Miller, and changing careers. Her life is back to being exactly how she always wanted … or is it?

I’m always nervous with sequels, because there’s always a risk of them not living up to the original. And yet, that was never even a question for me when Jeneva announced this sequel.
And even still, I was blown away.
I loved the full cast audiobook—I was completely enthralled from the first chapter. I loved getting thrown back into Sarah Morgan’s world only to figure out what new scheme she managed to conjure up.
It was fascinating to jump into the future with these characters—to see Sarah post-Adam. To see her life with Bob. To watch their lives unravel one lie at a time—and to try to determine just who was lying…or if they all were.
History repeats itself when Sarah’s husband is accused of cheating—but instead of his mistress being killed like Adam’s, this one has simply gone missing. But that doesn’t matter to Sarah. She won’t stand to be tied to another cheater. Not again. And yet, other secrets come out in their town that require Adam’s case to be re-inspected at the same time that Bob comes under fire with the police department, too.
I love Jeneva’s way of weaving stories and twists. Sarah Morgan is one of the most calm, collected, and clever characters I’ve read to date and I truly wish this series would continue.
If you love twisty, suspenseful thrillers filled with domestic drama and the constant questioning of whose side you should be on? This is easily the book for you. But you have to read The Perfect Marriage first. Trust me on this.

Even though I didn’t read The Perfect Marriage (I didn’t realize this was the sequel when I grabbed it on Netgalley), I still really enjoyed it! There was probably some backstory I missed, obviously, but I feel like you could enjoy this even on its own.
I love domestic thrillers because there’s so much drama and this book was full of it. As Sarah and Bob go through a divorce, we see some really vindictive, delusional, and narcissistic behaviors which made for a super wild ride LOL. There were a lot of twists that I didn’t see coming and the ending felt really unbelievable, but in a good way!

The Perfect Marriage was my first Jeneva Rose read, and has been the one book of hers that I have enjoyed the most. Until The Perfect Divorce. I think that this is an instance where the sequel might just be better than the first!
We continue the story of Sarah Morgan, after the conviction of her first husband, Adam, who was charged and found guilty of murdering the woman he was having an affair with. We find ourselves reliving moments and finding new information along the way in this read. It was so good. I appreciate the opportunity to read and provide feedback for this book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the opportunity to read the audio ARC of this great read!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱:
⇥ Jeneva's prose is smooth, approachable, and engaging, and it's clear that her style has matured since The Perfect Marriage. It flows easy and the inner monologues aren’t annoying at all.
⇥ The multiple POVs were a strong point. I loved seeing the story unfold through different lenses—it added layers and tension that kept things interesting.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗱:
⇥ This is 1000% a sequel you need to read after refreshing yourself on the first book. I dove in cold—five years after reading The Perfect Marriage—and paid the price. Characters, plot threads, and past twists were all a blur, and that majorly impacted my ability to stay grounded in what was happening.
⇥ And then there’s the main female character, Sarah Morgan. Yikes. I could not stand her. When you hate the FMC, it makes it nearly impossible to root for anyone or stay emotionally invested. Maybe that was the point—but for me, it just made the reading experience frustrating.
⇥ The detective's POV was realllllly hard to understand. I feel like he spoke with a sock over the mic.

★★★★/No Rating
I’m giving this four stars out of fairness to the writing and structure, but I genuinely have no idea what even happened by the end. That’s on me—I should have reread book one. I saw a few reviews saying this was better than The Perfect Marriage, and I wanted to give it a fair shot. But in the end, I was just too lost, and too annoyed by Sarah, to fully enjoy it. Maybe if you do reread the first one, you’ll have a completely different (and probably better) experience than I did.
Thanks to @netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts!

The Perfect Marriage was the first book I read by Jeneva and I really enjoyed it and was excited to read this one. The Perfect Divorce is equally diabolical and filled with crazy characters.
Love how she writes characters that you absolutely despise but they pull you in so you cannot stop reading/listening to the story.
The audiobook was fantastic! The full cast - Mozahn Navabi, J.S. Arquin, Adam Lazarre- White, Brittany Pressley, Andi Arndt, and Andrew Eiden were fantastic! They brought amazing voice, emotions and gave each character perfect personality!!
Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the complimentary copy.

My two go-to thriller authors are Jeneva Rose for adult books and Holly Jackson for YA, so naturally I was very excited to read The Perfect Divorce!
I listened to the audiobook last weekend, and unsurprisingly, this is the kind of story that demanded my full attention. I struggled to put it down once I started!
The story picks up eleven years after the events of The Perfect Marriage, beginning with the reopening of the investigation into Sarah’s ex-husband’s mistress’s murder, just as she’s in the midst of a divorce from her current husband.
This book contains all of the extreme drama, twisty plots, and shocking reveals that Rose is known for.
While there was a moment around the halfway mark where the plot progression and reveals felt like they stalled a bit, that honestly might have just been my impatience to find out what would happen next!
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted ALC! I really enjoyed this story and, even though it might be too early for this, can't wait to see what comes next from Jeneva Rose!

The Perfect Divorce takes place 11 years after the end of The Perfect Marriage. This, too, is very much a popcorn thriller. It also has a major cat/mouse dynamic that was fun. It does go a bit off the rails, but I also found it to be entertaining and bingey. Some will find it to be full of twists, while more experienced thriller readers may see them coming. All in all, it was a fun overall listen.

I personally could not finish this audiobook. I'm am sure that the story is great, I enjoyed the first book "The Perfect Marriage ". However, the voices for the characters especially her husband was so distracting. I just couldn't listen anymore to that character. I will try and read the book, but the audiobook was just not for me.

Okayyy this was so much drama in the best possible way. I mean, we’ve got cheating, missing people, reopened murder cases, custody battles—like, it’s giving legal thriller meets Real Housewives, and honestly? I was entertained.
Our girl Sarah has been through it, and she’s not exactly taking the high road now either… but that’s what makes it all so juicy. Everyone’s scheming, everyone’s shady, and you’re never really sure who’s telling the truth (or if anyone is). There were definitely some moments where I was like, “wait, WHAT just happened?!” and I love that in a thriller.
It’s fast-paced, twisty, and a lil messy—in a good way. Even if you didn’t read the first book, you’ll still be able to follow along (though you might miss a few deeper tea spills). Oh, and the ending? Definitely left me side-eyeing a few characters and rethinking the whole thing. 👀
Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ALC.

A fun follow-up to The Perfect Marriage. We catch up with Sarah and her new husband, Bob. After discovering Bob cheated on her, Sarah immediately files for divorce. When his mistress goes missing, history may start repeating itself.
This was an entertaining popcorn thriller elevated even more by excellent narration. I flew through it and loved all the twists and turns.

Jeneva Rose delivers another fast-paced, twisty domestic thriller with The Perfect Divorce, and the audiobook format only enhances the experience. The narration is engaging and well-cast, with voice actors who bring each character to life and keep the tension building throughout.
The plot centers around a high-powered divorce attorney who finds herself tangled in a case that hits far too close to home. As secrets unravel and alliances shift, you're never quite sure who to trust—which is classic Jeneva Rose. The pacing is tight, and the story keeps you hooked with short chapters and cliffhangers that make it nearly impossible to press pause.
What stands out most is the way the story plays with perception, loyalty, and power dynamics in relationships. If you’re into domestic suspense with morally gray characters and unexpected turns, this one’s for you.
While I personally felt the first book in this series was stronger, The Perfect Divorce still delivers a gripping and satisfying sequel.
Overall, it’s a compelling follow-up that keeps the story moving in an intriguing direction. If you enjoyed the first book, this one is definitely worth the listen.
