Excellent book!!! At first I was thinking is this book going to be a book referring to Taylor Swift??? Wrong..I kept reading and the more I read the more I was drawn into the story!! I read the book in one sitting. I loved the reference to Cary Grant, you will find that you get sucked in and think what singer is she pulling her character from but the story line is good. It is a good read and holds your attention or it did mine. I would recommend this book to others and I would have picked this book up read the back cover and bought it as a read!! It has some tear jerk moments, Buy the book or get it from your library enjoy it !!!!

This book had all the makings of a glitzy, emotional read set in the chaotic world of fame—but unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me.

There’s a definite Taylor Swift-inspired vibe to the main character, Channing Grace, which fans might enjoy. As someone who isn’t a fan, I found it hard to connect. While the story gives a refreshing look at the darker side of fame—not just the red carpets and paparazzi shots—it still felt like it only scratched the surface when it came to exploring the real depth of Channing and Theo as characters. There was more to them, but the book never quite got there.

The pacing and flow were also a struggle. The story felt repetitive in places, and I had a hard time staying fully engaged. That said, I did appreciate that this wasn’t another glamorized pop star romance—it attempted to show the cracks beneath the shine.

Overall, it had some interesting elements, but the execution didn’t quite land for me.

Thankyou so much netgalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review!!

Okay so this book shows all the struggles of being famous and I was all here for it but then it turned into a romance which I loved. BUT I feel like there was more to Theo and graces relationship which we didn’t get!! Also the book was super predictable but this was such a fun read and different read for me!!!

A global singing sensation cheated on by her movie star boyfriend
Heartbreak and pain are kicked in to touch by a new romance. Keeping the new romance under the radar whist her ex tries to rekindle the past, using the press and social media to give a false impression.

Trust, truth and believing in yourself .
Enjoy I did

Infamous is not my first Ginger Voight book but it has been awhile and now I do not understand what took me so long to discover this author again! With Infamous, Voight delivers a slow and sexy, friends to lovers story about a #1 pop star and an equally famous movie star.

When Chan and Theo have their first run in at Chan's 35th birthday party, the sparks are there but both of them, especially Chan, are not at a place to do something about it. A few months later, and thanks to some sinister (HaHa) mommas, Chan and Theo are once again put together and the sparks are just as noticeable. However, their fame and past make moving forward a difficult decision to make so a friendship is formed in secret and what becomes of that is anyone's guess (I am not spoiling it!).

Gotta say, in Voight's intro to the book, she gives a little background to where the story was born from and I can honestly see it. Gave me the gooey feels that I hope you get to experience by reading Infamous.

Thank you to Net Galley and Ginger Voight for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this celebrity romance by a new to me author who takes the reader on a journey into the celebrity world of appearances and reality. The plot is action-packed and fast-paced, the romance between Chan and Theo a slow burn with a few mild or fade-out love scenes. What I particularly liked was that as a reader you also experience the dark side of fame and success: the hard work behind it and the hardships you have to make, the prejudices, false reports, the compulsion to pretend, the effort and necessity to keep your private life secret in order to protect yourself and your loved ones... The story is written from the FMC POV, her frustration and heartache is palpable. There were a few scenes that teared me up and others that made me really angry.

Channing "Chan" Grace, pop princess, meets the older and handsome actor Theo Shepard on her 35th birthday in Vegas, but as she is still recovering from her break-up with her ex, also a well-known actor who cheated on her with his co-star, Chan turns Theo down. She meets her ex and Theo again at the Oscar Gala, where she and her ex both win Oscars for a former mutual project. The paparazzi believe there is a reunion between her and her ex, but Theo rescues her from an awkward situation. A friendship develops between them and despite their mutual attraction, they decide to take their time until Chan can trust Theo and her reputation is not ruined...

Overall, a moving and interesting story that I am happy to recommend!

From the very first page, I was captivated by the author's voice in "Note from the author". It was powerful, inspiring, and gave me high hopes for the rest of the book. The message felt personal and deeply engaging. However, as I moved into the main story, the tone and flow felt quite different. While the narrative had potential, it occasionally lacked fluidity and relied on repetitive descriptions, which made it harder for me to stay immersed. Additionally, some moments could have benefitted from a bit more polish in editing. That said, the author's passion is evident, and I believe with some refinement, their storytelling could shine even brighter.
