Geneva Lee, why am I so obsessed with your style of writing!

This book left off where the last ended on that oh so wonderful Cliff Hanger… I’m starting to realise that you love a cliff hanger mwohahaha…

I loved the character progression and how the story unravelled more about the worlds and coven. Willow is now my fave sassy witch bestie and my goodness I hope she gets to love Sirius haha! Too much fun!

Anyway, as always hot mess random comments classed as a review haha.

Here’s some fave quotes….

“I will always find my way back to you. Not even death will stop me,”

“Between my disregard for the rules and your homicidal instincts, no one can touch us.”

“Good thing I’ll be with a big, bad fae prince, then.”

“And I’m not angry. It’s just my resting witch face.”

“ Lachlan Gage was ruthless. He was powerful. He held New Orleans in the palm of his hands. And I had him on his knees.” Yes please, sign me UP…

Book 3 I’m waiting for you not so patiently…..

Thank you so much to Entangled Publishing for this Readalomg earc. These thoughts are my own - I saw the arc and was like hell yeh baby I need book two because book one was EPIC 🙌🏼

4.5 ⭐️ 3 🌶️

Review:

After the ending of the first one, I was so glad to get my hands on this. Just to be left feeling the EXACT. SAME. WAY! Give me book 3 right now because I can’t wait. We got more info, some things were explained, but there’s still more questions I need answered. We are right in the middle of the storm with this book. It was fantastic! I can’t wait to see how Cate will handle the changes and what’s gonna happen to Lach.

Summary:

After a murder, Lach is still on the run from the wild hunt. People who are bound to kill him. Lucky for him though, the people in New Orleans have found a way to cast a spell around the city that the Wild Hunt can’t enter. But that doesn’t mean all of his problems are solved. The protection is only temporary. And with Cate being hunted by Oberon, it’s not looking like an easy path. Oberon wants Cates ring and he’ll stop at nothing to get it. While they try to solve the mystery as to why she can’t remove it, a string of murders begin popping up. Targeting each kind of resident that lives in town. From witches to humans. With danger coming from all directions, how can they keep their loved ones safe?

Favorite Quote:

“Love didn’t break a man. It built him. Forged him. Love made a man who he was meant to be. She SAVED me.“

Tropes:
•fated mates
•hidden identities
•betrayal
•protective MMC
•on the run

Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court is an absolutely AMAZING sequel that exceeded all my expectations! It picks up right where the first book left off and never slows down. The story is packed with nonstop action, jaw-dropping reveals, swoon-worthy romance, and a whirlwind of emotions.

I couldn’t put it down - each chapter captivated me more, and the ending left me desperate for book three. If this series isn’t on your radar yet, it definitely should be!

Oh my god, Geneva Lee has done it again!
Amazing. I was so happy to be back in New Orleans with Lach, Cate, and everyone else. This story picked up perfectly where book 1 left off. There were moments that had me jaw dropped in shock. This one is going to live rent free in my head for a while, as I think about all the things that could happen after that ending!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this series and the writing of Geneva Lee. I have never inhaled the last ten percent of a book like I did with this boo, I could not absorb the words and turn the pages fast enough.. My husband was sitting next to me on the sofa playing videogames, and he actually reminded me to breathe. Lach and Cate are amazing, I screamed at Channing, screamed at Cate and of course that evil douche-canoe was causing all the trouble. Did I mention I need book three, stat.

This book is by far my favorite Romantasy series this year! The only issue I have is now i have to wait for book three!

The plot in this book is just so exciting and easy to follow. This book did seem like more of a building block to book three and it had a lot of information and steps towards something big. The ending was such a rush and then bam, the cliff hanger! I loved reading the mating bond unfold with the characters and how she began to accept her "fate". I loved watching them figure things out together and grow more as one unit in making decisions. I think there is still so much more growth for the characters.

SUCH AN AWESOME BOOK SERIES!

I cannot wait to get further into Lach and Caits story! Lach had a lot of growth through this book as he learned the balance needed with Cait. She is not letting him call all the shots, she is his equal and he is learning to communicate everything with her. Cait spent some time in denial about her true identity, but there was an obvious turning point where she began to accept her fait, and whatever happened happened. I love that Channing is so heavily involved in this book and we are continuing to get his story. So many authors push siblings and side characters to the side until they need a little drama but he was there throughout. Overall it was so good. I’m so mad that I have to wait for the next book. I was so lucky to be able to participate in an early read a long with the entangled publishing group with this book and the first one.

First and foremost, I want to thank Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to participate in a read-a-long in the Entangled Insiders group, which provided me with an eARC of this release. The following review, comments, and thoughts are my own.

My mind is still reeling from the experience that was Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court. I am writing this review with tears in my eyes, palpitations in my chest, and a fully exploded brain. This was an enchanting, thrilling, dark, twisty, and sexy read. I cannot begin to express how much I love these characters, the magic system, the courts…. Geneva Lee has created a world that I would like to run away and join. I loved book one, but I can honestly say that I am HOOKED on the series after finishing book 2. I am desperate for the next book to come out after the cliffhanger that we were left on.

Book 2 is told in dual POV! I love the fact that we get to experience sexy Lach’s perspective for this installment of the story.

Without spoiling anything (personally, I hate spoilers), here’s a short summary. Prince of the Nether Court, Lachlan Gage is on the run. Since the ending of Filthy Rich Fae, our sexy fae prince has been running from the “Wild Hunt,” a troupe of killers determined to punish him for killing the penumbra of another court. He’s determined to outrun and outsmart them.. all in the name of saving his love, Cate (a human). Meanwhile, Cate has been kidnapped and must escape the clutches of a rival court’s prince before he uses her in his quest to rule the fae world.
Family, love, and loyalty lay at the foundation of this book. We meet an all new cast of characters as the magical world of New Orleans is expanded. Werewolves, witches, fae, rougarou… there’s so many magical creatures. Can Lachlan outrun the Wild Hunt and protect all the people he loves? Can Cate escape the prison of the “Otherworld” and keep her new-found family safe? Is there more to this situation than meets the eye?

This title releases May 20, 2025. I HIGHLY recommend you preordering it and adding it to your TBR.

This is the second book in the series, and it does not disappoint! Cate, Lach, and all the creatures from the Otherworld and New Orleans that we met in book one are back. The Wild Hunt is after Lach, and Cate is struggling to find answers about her mother's ring and the power it holds with help from some friends. Lach and Cate also must learn to navigate through the mating bond and the feelings it invokes between them.

I really enjoyed reading this story! It was hard to put it down, and I wanted more as soon as it ended. The plot kept me thoroughly entertained, and I'm impatiently waiting for the next story in the series as it ended on another cliffhanger. I'm so very much enthralled with Cate and Lach's love story, but now there may be another one in the works that has me even more invested in this series and how it plays out! Geneva Lee knows how to keep you coming back for more!

I had such a fun time with this! Filthy Rich Fae is what I’d call a “candy bar” series for me. It might not be top tier writing, it might be very trope heavy, but it’s a FUN time and a quick read. It’s also refreshing to read urban fantasy. It ended on another cliffhanger so I’m impatiently waiting for the next one!!

I'd like to start out by thanking Entangled Publishing for an eARC of this book! I was super lucky (again) to participate in the group read-a-long for this one. I was fortunate to also get an early copy of the first book in this series, as an eARC, and I'm so glad I got to read book 2 as well =] I'm always so thankful to get amazing books (like this one) to read, so I can share my thoughts with everyone!

Book 2 starts off right where book 1 ended, which is so great (thanks to that cliffy!!). I may recommend a little re-read of book one so you don't forget what all was happening at the end of book 1.

Lach is still working on evading the truly immortal Wild Hunt and our girl Cate is *somewhere* else, at the beginning of this one. I loved seeing their relationship progress, and we are finally getting some answers to questions that many of us had from the first book. Of course, I have a hundred more after the cliffhanger in this one! Let's just say that I am *stressed out* by what could happen, I'll definitely need some time to process ;)

If you enjoy any of these tropes, you may enjoy this book:
- Dual POV
- Mafia Romance
- Magic/Witches
- Vampires
- ALL THE SECRETS

I quite enjoyed this book. I think the plot of the book was fast paced and engaging!

The novel delves into themes of power, trust, and the complexities of bargains with the fae

I also really enjoyed the chemistry between cate and Lachlan!

Overall I give it 4 stars!

I’m still trying to pick up my jaw from the floor. This book was dark, spicy, emotional, and twisty goodness all wrapped in a fast paced package. I love the way that there are so many subplots that entangle with the main storyline. It keeps the story interesting beyond our main characters. The cliffhangers for this series are killing me. I hate I have to wait so long for the next one now.

The second installment of Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court is a whirlwind of suspense, spice, and sizzling romance. Geneva Lee has done it again—pulling readers into a high-stakes world where danger lurks behind every secret, and passion burns hotter than ever.

Lach is the kind of hero who would burn the entire world to save the woman he loves, and honestly? I’m here for it. Cate, meanwhile, is trapped in a storm of fear and doubt, unsure if the Wild Hunt has finally caught up with Lach—and torn him away from her forever.

Secrets unravel at a relentless pace, with shocking betrayals and unexpected alliances around every corner. The emotional roller coaster had my heart racing and palms sweating (and I’m not being dramatic). Every twist kept me on edge, completely hooked until the final page.

Geneva Lee’s storytelling is magnetic—intense, seductive, and utterly unputdownable. I devoured this book and gave it a glowing 5 stars. My only complaint? Now I have to wait for the next one!

Huge thanks to Entangled Publishing for the ARC!

Geneva Lee left me in hysterics after the ending of Filthy Rich Fae, so I am so glad we are back in Lachlan Gage’s world with Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court. Book two picks up right after the first book ends, and Lach and Cate are worlds apart - both physically and where they stand in their relationship.

Fallen Court is primarily about growth: growth for both Lach and Cate (as individuals and as a couple), as well as growth for the reader’s understanding of how deep the dissention truly is between factions in New Orleans. Between the fae, witches, vampires, and shifters, Lach has a lot going against him and his family in this book. I loved getting to learn more about the power dynamics and court politics right alongside Cate. Fallen Court was about much more than just the main characters falling in love. Just like in her Filthy Rich Vampire series, Lee does a wonderful job at setting up a series-long plot that well and truly kicks off here in this second book.

There were quite a few big reveals in this book, and I loved that it kept the plot exciting while not seeming like too much was being thrown into the mix all at once. Both Cate and Lach’s lives have been forever changed, and I know the epic character growth is only going to continue as we head into the next book in the series.

Lee’s writing was a good pace; she gave us a lot of action and new information, but it never felt rushed or like too much was being squeezed into one book. Between returning characters and some new faces that Cate gets to meet in Fallen Court, there were a lot of moving pieces in this book, but Lee gave every character distinct personas and qualities so it was easy to keep track of who’s who. I love the richness of every relationship (or hinted-at relationship) and how they all played out on the page.

Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court was a delicious second act to what will clearly be a series worth devouring. This book added so much to the first book, and still left me craving more.

"Fallen Court" by Geneva Lee is the second book in the "Filthy Rich Fae" series.
You need to read the first book before this one.

Thank you Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the e-ARC of the book.
Opinions from this review are completely my own.

I am glad that I waited and read "Filthy Rich Fae" after receiving the ARC for the second book, because after that ending I immediately wanted to continue the story.

You need to read this series if you like:
- urban fantasy
- fae/witches/vampires
- bargains
- banter
- possessive hero
- secrets
- dual POV

The story continues after the end of the first book, with Lach on the run and we find out who is Cate's captor.
I feel like there were many revelations in this book as well as great development of the characters and the relationship between Lach and Cate.
Lach is a possessive fae that sometimes acts before taking the time to make a plan.
He also underestimates Cate and still keeps secrets from her.
I loved Cate's personality and actions in this book. She doesn't need to be kept safe and is strong enough to fight.
Her only weakness is her brother, that got her again in trouble.
There are some revelations that I expected and others that were a surprise (especially a plot twist at the end).
The pace is medium to fast and it was hard to keep myself from finishing the book in one sitting.

Even if I did not like the book as much as the first one, it was still a very enjoyable read and made me want to continue the story (especially after the ending).

Holy cliffhanger Batman 😱 Thank you to Geneva Lee for ripping my heart out, putting it back together, and ripping it out again. And I absolutely loved every single second of it.

Being back with my morally gray fae husband Lachlan Gage was what I needed. I love this man so much. Does he keep secrets? Yes but he gets better at sharing. Might not always be the whole truth, but still sharing! He can do no wrong in my eyes. I love how much more of his and Cate’s relationship that we got. Cate’s growth in this book is one of my favorites. She is so strong and sassy and loyal. She will do anything to protect those she loves, including Lach. These two are perfect together.

The things we learn in this book had me gasping and immediately needing book 3! How am I supposed to wait with that ending?!!

I absolutely loved this! Book two definitely kicks it up a notch. There's more action, adventure and heat. It may just be my new favorite! Lachlan and Cate are perfect together. I adore how he waits for her to say yes. It's just so sweet! And I was on the edge of my seat with some of the twists and turns. That cliffhanger ending has me wanting to dive into book three immediately. I highly recommend this book and the whole series!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to read this book ahead of release in exchange for my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved this one!! Thank you, Entangled Insiders and NetGalley, for this advanced ecopy . I was so excited when I saw my email. Need the next one like yesterday. I think Willow was probably my favorite character, she was so sassy, and I was here for it. The character development in this second book was chef's kiss. I really loved the communication between Lach and Cate. There were secrets still, but I think they were handled well. so many twist and turns and the BETRAYALS. Can't wait for May 20th to buy my trophy!!

I absolutely devoured this book. Fallen Court picks up right where Filthy Rich Fae left off - Lach is marked by the Wild Hunt and Cate has been abducted. The story hits the ground running with the plot moving with the goal of getting our lovable characters back to one another. It is so hard to read Lachlan's grief and fear for Cate and Cate's terror and resignation with her captors.

In Fallen Court we are introduced to the witch covens, werewolves and vampires as they work together in New Orleans to protect the city and prevent The Wild Hunt from capturing Lachlan. There is a murder mystery plot occurring that was so mysterious and really drew me in. There are twists, betrayals I NEVER saw coming (!!!) and delicious romance and spice.

I LOVED this book and I cannot wait to read book 3. Thank you Entangled Publishing, Entangled Insiders and Geneva Lee for the advanced review copy.
