I am obsessed with this series, but unfortunately I did not fall in love with this book.
I think I just didn’t feel the romantic connection as much in this one. I would’ve loved another hundred pages of the main characters interacting. It just felt so rushed once they had been intimate.

What I read I enjoyed, I just felt this book needed more growth and depth.

The McBride’s & Buck’s Creek have my heart.

Each book in this series is special and I’ll never tire of Junebug ordering up brides for her brothers.

Ellie & Beau were pure sparks. Through letters, misadventures and passionate conversations about life they developed such an addictive connection. Each McBride finds his woman beguiling for different reasons and I love that Beau saw Ellie’s penchant for daydreaming, the ease he felt in her presence and her loyalty to people she cares about. They were all qualities he valued so much more than her looks. She put other people’s needs above her own but Beau wanted her to follow her own happiness. Her joy when she let go was his as well.

This was also hella entertaining with the extra potential brides in the mix. And Ellie’s relationship with Diana was really wholesome.

I’m so serious when I say I need the next book asap.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Amy Barry for this ARC. The McBrides forever!

Amy Barry, you’ve outdone yourself. Seven Brides for Beau McBride is an absolute gem — romantic, clever, and full of heart. This Cyrano de Bergerac retelling is my favourite in the Buck’s Creek series so far, and a standout example of how historical romance can be both fun and beautifully written.

Ellie and Beau’s connection had me hooked from the first misdirected letter to the final, swoon-worthy reveal. Ellie’s bookish smarts and Beau’s soft, steady heart made for the perfect pairing — and their slow-burn tension? Perfection.

Amy, your prose is stunning. Lines like “inky frill of the treetops” are pure magic. You’ve created a world I love returning to, filled with rich emotion, mischief, and unforgettable characters. Thank you for writing romance with such warmth, charm, and skill.

I’m already counting the days until Junebug’s story. 🙌

So fun to be back in Bucks Creek with the McBrides! Once again, this was a delightful and entertainment read full of adventure and swoon. I loved learning more about Beau and the slow burn of the romance was so good!

Beau McBride wants to marry, but according to his little sister, Junebug, his ego is bigger than his brain. Convinced he can’t choose a bride on his own, they strike a bet—each placing an ad in the Matrimonial News. But when Junebug discovers Beau has already selected his bride, she takes matters into her own hands and invites six more potential brides to Montana. Among them is Ellie Neale, a woman with modest expectations who only wants the best for her friend Diana, Beau’s chosen bride. However, as Ellie finds herself falling for the very man Diana hopes to marry, she faces an emotional dilemma she never anticipated. When she discovers that they are both vying for Beau, Ellie realises that she might have more feelings for him than she can admit to Diana and the other five potential brides.
I absolutely loved this story and its rich cast of characters. It was so entertaining to read about the arguments between Beau and Junebug but also to appreciate Beau’s fears from family tragedies. The friendship between Ellie and Diana added even more complexity, especially as what first seems one-sided begins to shift in unexpected ways. This is a heartfelt, engaging read full of charm, inner conflict, and the quiet power of unexpected love.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is Book 3 of The McBrides of Montana Series!

I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC 🥰

Amy Barry delivers a heartwarming, humorous, and totally delightful historical romance that reads like The Bachelor set in the Wild West—with a twist of heart, sass, and unexpected soul.

Beau McBride is confident, charming, and just the right amount of clueless. He’s decided it’s time to settle down and find a wife, so he places an ad in the Matrimonial News. His well-meaning but skeptical little sister Junebug doesn’t trust him to choose wisely, so she places her own ad—for six more women. Now Beau’s peaceful life in Montana is turned upside down when seven mail-order brides arrive on his doorstep.

Among them is Ellie Neale, who helped her best friend Diana craft a reply to Beau’s ad, only to end up joining the adventure herself to avoid being left behind. But when the two women discover they’re not the only ones invited—and both are technically there to marry the same man—chaos (and comedy) ensues.

As Beau tries to navigate the romantic whirlwind, his attention keeps drifting toward the one woman who isn’t trying to win him over. Ellie has no intention of falling for a cowboy, especially one who seems more brawn than brains, but Beau’s unexpected kindness, humour, and growing self-awareness slowly chip away at her defences.

Seven Brides for Beau McBride is an utterly charming ride filled with small-town Western antics, sweet romance, and characters that feel like friends. With a quirky premise and plenty of emotional depth, it’s perfect for fans of historical romance with humour, heart, and heroines who find their worth in unexpected places.

I wish I’d discovered this series sooner because Seven Brides For Beau McBride has been a riotous joy to read. Of course I am now going back to read books one and two. Set in 1887 Montana, the book is packed with memorable characters and while the story revolves around Beau McBride, his teenaged sister Junebug nearly steals the show more than once. She’s desperate to get her brothers married to take some of the domestic burdens off her shoulders. So far she’s married off two brothers and now it’s Beau’s turn. He thinks so too and places his own advertisement for a bride. Junebug is having none of that, thank you very much.
She makes a bet with Beau that he’ll fall in love with her choice and, not wanting to take any chances, she arranges for not one but six prospective brides to come and meet Beau, despite his assurances that he’s already met his match. What ensues is an absolute hoot with Beau’s choice, beautiful Diana Newchurch arriving at the Bitteroot railway station on the same train as Eleanor Neale, the sixth of Junebug’s brides. Diana is beautiful but not very literate, while Eleanor, who hs been corresponding with Beau on Diana’s behalf, is tall and thin and sees herself as wallpaper when her friend is around. Poor Elly is in love with Beau, but won’t act on her feelings because she believes he and Diana are in love. Despite this, she and Beau seem to gravitate to each other and their romance is fun to watch.
This book is packed to the rafters with tongue-in-cheek humour, largely thanks to Junebug’s wry observations on life but also courtesy of the cast of secondary characters, who keep things light. Throughout this story, the rabulous imagery puts you right there in the story, whether it’s lying in the meadow grasses watching the clouds scuttering by or working in the cotton mill with the loomsd crashing and the shuttles clicking. This whole story has been an utterly immersive experience that I loved and was sad to finish.

This book was such a fun ride! The setup is wild… a sister posts an ad looking for a bride and seven women show up ready to claim the same man. It’s chaotic and ridiculous in the best way and sets the stage for plenty of laughs and sweet moments.

Ellie is the heart of the story she’s gentle, dreamy and loyal to a fault. She’s not looking for love, just tagging along for her bestie… but of course that’s when it sneaks up on her (especially when a certain cowboy is involved).

The whole thing has that cozy, feel good energy. Think comfort read with just the right amount of sass and swoon. It’s light, heartfelt and gives off major “grab a cuppa and get cozy” vibes. I had a great time with it.

Big thanks to Simon & Schuster for the ARC!

I love The Bachelor-style romances and when I heard that we were being blessed with a third The McBrides Of Montana book with this trope, I was so excited! I do quite enjoy this series and this one was so good too. I loved the banter, the cowboy era America and the steamy romance that I love from Amy Barry. The only minor let downs were Junebug (I understand her existence as a character, but she’s so annoying) and the miscommunication trope. Other than that, a really good continuation of the series and I’m hoping for a book four or sequel series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

This book was so much fun!! I've honestly loved all the books in the McBrides of Montana series, and this one was no exception. The writing style completely transports me straight to Bucks Creek/Bitterroot and that along with the heartwarming and hilarious plot results in the perfect escapism for me. I really enjoyed that the plot was a bit different for this one, really making this story stand out from the others. I still adore Junebug and all her meddling, and it's nice seeing her grow up as the series progresses. I can't wait to see what antics she gets up to next!

If Junebug is going to shenan-once, she's going to shenan-again! This time, Beau is on the receiving end of her mail-order bride ordering prowess.

This series keeps getting better and better. I adored Kit and Morgan's stories and Amy Barry has outdone herself with the "Bourbon Prince" himself, Beau. Mostly dismissed as just a pretty face, I loved how Beau who initially thinks there's not much else to want for in a wife than "symmetrical attractions", ends up having hidden depths himself.

Ellie was a beautifully written FMC. Her proclivity to putting other's happiness before her own was really relatable and her growth as a character was excellent. I'll also say that the chemistry and tension, oh my!

I also loved spending more time with my favourite meddling sister and the rest of the crew from the previous books. There is always such a great balance of plot and humour. I do hope to see more from this series, with a few more McBrides that need to get hitched and find their happily-ever-afters.

Thanks to Netgalley and Simon and Schuster Australia for the eARC of "Seven Brides for Beau McBride."

*Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

I have been eagerly awaiting Beau's book, and it more than lived up to my expectations. The premise is certainly the zaniest of the series so far, and I really appreciate that Amy Barry has found three different ways to package the mail order bride trope. And this version really worked with Beau as a person. It was lovely to see so much more of Beau and get to know him better. He's delightful, a true romantic, and man who is infuriated by his family but still loves them so much.
Junebug was in top form, but I loved how Ellie didn't take her shit right from the get-go. Ellie was a lovely character, who I wanted to give a big hug.
The writing was once again great. The descriptions made me feel like I was right there in Bitterroot with them. Though I did miss being in Bucks Creek, as the majority of this story happens in town. I laughed out loud a number of times, particularly around Ellie's attempts to teach Beau how to compliment.
I genuinely can't wait for more in this series!

“Beau McBride needs a wife. Just… maybe not seven of them.”

Tropes you’ll find inside:
🐻Small town charm
🐻Mistaken identity
🐻Found family
🐻Mail-order bride chaos.

Seven Brides for Beau McBride by Amy Barry is the third book in The McBrides of Montana series, and it’s an absolute treat. Equal parts heartwarming and hilarious, this one leans all the way into its premise….A meddling little sister places a newspaper ad for a bride, and it results in not one but seven women turning up to marry the same man.
Cue the drama. Cue the banter. Cue the absolute chaos.
At the centre of it all is Ellie, a daydreamer with a kind heart, who only answered the ad to stay close to her best friend… and definitely not to fall for the stubborn cowboy with more ego than sense.

I had so much fun reading this. It’s got that comforting, Hallmark-but-better feel to it, with genuinely funny moments, sweet emotional beats, and characters you want to root for. There’s something really nostalgic about the tone, a little old-fashioned in all the best ways, and the love story slowly sneaks up on you.
If you’re in the mood for something light, feel-good, and full of heart, this one fits the bill perfectly. It’s a solid 4 star read for me and a great addition to the series, which continues to deliver with charm and heart.
