What a delightful second chance romance! As the wife of a woodworker I LOVED the central setting of the work shop and thoroughly enjoyed envisioning the beautiful pieces they created. The whirlwind romance between Meli and Aaron was sweet and I just loved how even with a dysfunctional family Meli has such wonderful friends in her life. Aaron was a classic good guy, just wonderful all around.

I have been loving second chance romance so I was excited to pick this one up. This was such a bingeable read and listen! Not only do we get a second chance romance, we get a marriage of convenience. I loved every single time they called each other wife or husband! The main characters felt flawed and real with a lot of complicated emotions. I loved watching them find their way to each other not just once but twice. Meli and Aaron were easy to root for despite their complicated family and professional relationships. This was my first book by Kerry, but it won’t be my last.
🎧Amanda Leigh Cobb did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. It’s easy to listen and follow along. I found myself not wanting to hit pause, which is a sign that I’m definitely invested.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!!! Meli lives by her uncle's words of not getting into a relationship for fear it will affect her work as an artist making specialty wood pieces in her uncle's shop, which she hopes will one day be hers. However it seems that fate has a different plan for Meli. When Aaron is introduced It seems like it is something in her past that wouldn't effect her future , however when we find out he's a prominent figure in the company her uncle is selling the company too , things start to get complicated. I felt SO many emotions reading this book. I was so happy for meli when she once again got married to aaron. You can tell they are a match made in heaven. When Fallon appears on the picture my heart fell for meli. The ending is amazing and this is a book id definitely read over again. I spent a whole night finishing this book because I kept saying I'd just read one more chapter but I couldn't stop reading . Kerry Lonsdale always captivates me with her books . This is actually my new favorite book by her and now I eagerly await the next masterpiece she writes.

This is a beautifully written second chance at love where both MCs are battling deep issues involving their parents and the author has skillfully dealt with important topics of addiction, grief and parental pressures in the story making it very realistic and relatable.

Aaron and Meli's chemistry and how they communicated and looked out for the other was endearing.
The narrator was fabulous and enjoyed listening to it thoroughly.

Falling For You Again is a special love story. The connection between the two MCs, Aaron and Meli was truly magnetic. It's a story that will make you believe in love, and give you a glimpse of how alive a life can be with the right partner.

Kerry does an amazing job balancing the deep emotional journey with many lighthearted, and laugh out loud moments that had me giggling. There are also many heart melting, swoony moments that reminded me what pure love looks like.

The audiobook was well done and a good companion to reading the book.

Kerry Lonsdale delivers with Falling for You Again, a charming and emotionally layered story about love, legacy, and the messy, magical second chances we never see coming.

Meli Hynes, a fiercely independent furniture artisan, isn’t exactly the hearts and flowers type, especially after a Vegas marriage that lasted less than 24 hours after she left her original groom at the alter. But when her family’s woodshop is at risk, and the solution comes wrapped in a very familiar package (oh hi there Aaron), she’s forced to confront the past and her lingering feelings.

The audiobook is sooo good! Amanda Leigh Cobb’s narration is crisp, expressive, and brings both Meli and Aaron’s chemistry to life in such a natural, intimate way. I laughed, I sighed, I cheered on this relationship so hard!

This is one of those books that you’re sad to see end but it leaves you with a full heart that will linger for quite some time!

If you’re into fake marriage tropes that turn too real, tender moments wrapped in banter, and stories that remind you love isn’t always perfect, but it’s always worth the risk, this one’s for you.

I love second chance romances and this is a great one to read. If you can do the audio book, it’s even better. The way Meli and Aaron met was crazy, but if you believe in fate bringing them together, then here you go. The concept of appreciating someone’s talent and seeing them thrive was the key thing in this whirlwind romance and, to me, it read a little differently than most of the ones I’ve read in the past. It really felt more heartfelt and deeper in emotion because all Meli wanted to do was continue the family business. Lots of miscommunication and misunderstanding happens throughout the ordeal with her Camil and Aaron’s, whose big company wants to buy out her family’s. This is definitely a recommended book for those looking to have emotional rollercoasters and heartfelt feels.

This book was so cute, and would make an excellent palette cleanser. It’s just over 250 pages, so it is a relatively quick read. This book was completely different from anything I have read before. It was refreshing to read a completely new storyline.

I loved Meli and Aaron’s story. It had some fun, unexpected twists. The flashbacks were fun to read, and really helped with the character development. The marriage list they made together at the beginning of the book was sweet and really showed who they each were at their core. I loved their spontaneity and sense of adventure, and it was fun living vicariously through them while reading this book.

The family dynamics were really intriguing and added another layer to the story. For how short this book was I felt like it had a lot of depth, but it didn’t get super heavy. It just helped you to really understand the characters and what truly motivated them and their decisions. It really helped me to form a connection with Meli and Aaron.

If you like second chance romance and marriage of convenience, I highly recommend this book. It is a little bit of a different twist on the second chance romance, but that is part of what I really loved about this book. This is the perfect book to read by the pool or on the beach.

Amanda did a fantastic job narrating. I loved the different voices she used. She really brought the characters to life. She had great diction and pacing. I will definitely listen to more books narrated by her.

Oh I haven’t devoured a book this fast in a while! Less than 24 hours, I could not put this one down. Kerry Lonsdale is by far one of the best authors I have read & has been a favorite of mine for many years. I am absolutely honored to be a part of her arc team! If you had told me in 2017 after I read the first of the Everything series & All the Breaking Waves that I would be on Kerry’s arc team (I didn’t even know what an arc was), I’d be in shock.

This was a highly anticipated read for me, obviously! And Kerry absolutely succeeded in creating a fantastic story that was an incredible journey to read through.

Here’s what I loved:

💕 second chance romance is one of my favs & this was a brand new twist on this! Very unique plot line.

👰🏼‍♀️ also, love a marriage of convenience too!

🖊️ this story really showcases the versatility in Lonsdale’s writing…romance is usually a theme in her stories, but her last two releases really are defined as romance stories to me!

🩷 I loved the true soulmate connection that Meli & Aaron had from the very first 𝒸𝑜𝓁𝓁𝒾𝒹𝑒

🫶🏻 Emi & Meli’s friendship is such goals

🫠 𝓌𝒾𝒻𝑒 … 𝒽𝓊𝓈𝒷𝒶𝓃𝒹

📖 I loved that both Meli & Aaron had a love for reading…their date at the bookstore was dreamy!

✍🏻 Lonsdale did such a phenomenal job at depicting the struggles of addiction & how it can disrupt the family dynamics

💞 found family

🦋 I had serious butterflies!! I am swooning over Aaron & Meli’s love. 😭

I need to learn how to look past the cover--I know Kerry Lonsdale from her thrillers, which I love, and automatically expected this to be too. While I obviously was incorrect, I nevertheless enjoyed this second-chance romance. I loved the backstory that the two main characters had, and wanted to see them end up together. However, I wasn't invested in the aspect relating to Meli's job, and I didn't like how Aaron wasn't giving her the whole picture. The dynamic with Meli's parents and uncle was too bizarre and out there for me, in a way that was hard to buy. I love a good dysfunctional family, but this story didn't have the dimension that made me believe in this one.

Rating: 4.25/5⭐️

Summary: Meli Hynes holds fast to what her uncle has always taught her about love, devoting her passion and life to her family's wood-crafting shop. Besides, she'd already tried marriage for 24 hours after a fling in Las Vegas. But her uncle decides to sell their shop to a competitor without consulting Meli first. In her haste to stop the deal, she seeks out her ex-husband, who happens to be the competitor's son. The deal is simple: marriage of convenience with public displays of affection but absolutely no feelings.

Dani’s Thoughts: I really enjoyed this one!! It was such a unique second chance romance because Meli and Aaron are more strangers than past lovers, but they haven't stopped thinking of their brief time together. The flashbacks to highlight Aaron and Meli's first meeting and quick wedding in Vegas were perfect to push the story forward. From their first interaction post their divorce, you can tell the feelings they have for one another. Meli's character is so strong and determined, and I admired that about her. She was afraid to give her heart away to someone, but truly put her all into her crafting at her family's shop.

It was so fun to watch these two pick up where they left off, as if no time had passed. I love how Aaron slowly tears down the walls around Meli's heart by showing her the love she craved but never received from her parents. He supports her work and helps her to see that you can do what you love while being with another person. They both have tragic pasts, but Kerry slowly reveals the bits and pieces that have made them who they are throughout the story. It was beautifully done, and by the end, I had tears in my eyes as they earned their happily ever after.
🎧Amanda Leigh Cobb did a fantastic job with this audio. It was well paced and very easy for me to distinguish between the different characters' dialogue. She brought Meli's pov to life in a way that made it feel like I was watching it. I highly suggest listening to the audio!

This book was such a pleasant surprise! Second chance is my absolute favorite trope, but Kerry did it in such a fun way! I loved that Meli was a runaway bride, but still ended up getting married, just to someone else! I loved the flashback scenes of Meli and Aaron meeting on a flight to Vegas, making a list of what a marriage and partnership should look like, and ultimately deciding to get married for 24 hours and then never speak to each other again. Fast forward to 5 years later, and Meli comes face to face with Aaron again. They come up with a plan to get married (again) to try and save her family's business.

Meli and Aaron have both decided that love doesn't truly exist and that their careers come first. I loved seeing how Aaron slowly starts to change Meli's mind and show her that they can have all the things on their list that they made on their flight to Vegas. Both of the characters also had very complicated family situations that they had to overcome, and deal with the trauma that led to their beliefs on love. The audio was fantastic, and I loved the narrator! Overall, I just loved this book so much. I highly recommend it and will absolutely be reading more from this author!

Adorable second chance at love

Years ago Meli ran away from her wedding only to then agree to a 24 hour marriage to a stranger she met on the airplane. Fast forward to the present and Meli has to reach out to her secret ex-husband for help to save her family business. Meli is a hilarious and tough woodworker. She comes from a troubled past that has made it difficult for her to love- although she is desperate to belong. Her ex-husband, Aaron comes from money and has his own struggles with marriage and love, but has never forgotten his brief wife.

I absolutely LOVE the 24 hr marriage and the list that Meli and Aaron made on the airplane. It’s so innocent and sweet. Their individual journeys of finding peace, fulfillment, and belonging in yourself was inspiring. The deeper themes of family, loss, marriage, trust, and self worth were beautifully told through the many facets of their relationships.

RECOMMENDED FOR:
Second chance romance lovers
Lovers of chosen families
Dreamers

AUDIOBOOK:
Narrated by Amanda Leigh Cobb. Her voice was a perfect fit for Meli and she did great voicing Aaron and the rest of the cast. There are a few fun accents - the Italian one was a bit much. Overall, great job and I enjoyed what she brought to the characters. I would definitely listen to a book narrated by her again.

Falling for You Again is a heart-stealing, second-chance romance wrapped in family drama, fate, and just the right touch of chaos. This story pulled me in from the very first page and didn’t let go!

We meet Meli, a runaway bride who ends up on a flight to Vegas and literally bumps into charming, mysterious Aaron. One dare (and a few drinks) later, they’re married. But it’s only supposed to last until the divorce papers go through… right?

Fast-forward five years, and these two are thrown back together under wild circumstances, this time agreeing to a marriage of convenience to protect Meli’s family business. What could possibly go wrong?

This book was adorable in all the best ways. I fell hard for Aaron, total book boyfriend material, and I loved the emotional depth that came with Meli’s journey. The mix of humor, heartbreak, and healing had me hooked. With family betrayal, romance, and unexpected twists, this one’s a standout.

Told from Meli’s POV, the story jumps between past and present, creating a layered narrative that makes every moment count.

And the audiobook? Perfection. Amanda Leigh Cobb’s narration brought every emotion to life—her voice carried the heart of this story so beautifully, I felt every beat. Highly recommend listening if you love immersive storytelling that tugs at your heartstrings.

If you love romances with depth, family complications, humor, and that “meant-to-be” feeling, Falling for You Again is one you don’t want to miss.

✨ Emotional, romantic, and full of charm, this story is about love, forgiveness, and finding your way back to what matters most. Highly recommend!

5⭐️ This is a five year slow burn with a lot of twists and turns. Loved the narration by Amanda Leigh Cobb. Meli is a such a quirky character with a lot of past trauma. Absolutely, loved how she portrayed Meli. She really brought out the wonderful MMC Aaron is too.

Meli just wants her family to be closed and continue the wood carving business. She has so much planned when her uncle gives her full run. Until he doesn’t. Meli has to act fast. She has a plan but it includes the one person she promised to never contact again.

Aaron is the son of the company trying to buy her families shop. When Meli asks for his help, the come to an agreement that will help them both. A marriage of convenience. But will it work out for Meli to save the shop. What will happen when the families and Aaron’s ex-fiancee find out about the marriage. Will she and Aaron break the rules of their agreement again and fall for each other.

Falling For You Again is a great second chance romance with a backstory of messy family drama and a loving found family. Covering marriage of convenience and fake dating tropes, Falling For You Again would be a great pick for summer reading! This was another book that kept me company on my recent backpacking trip, with this view being from a morning snack break spot. It's funny that while most of the book is set in Boston, where I live, I read the majority in Washington. I switched back and forth between reading and listening, and I enjoyed the narration of the audiobook. The female main character is a woodworker, and I was fascinated by her creations and could visualize them clearly. I enjoyed the romance, and I felt like the book was deeper than I expected for being on the shorter side (271 pages). While some Boston-specific things felt a bit off to me (“Logan International” is used multiple times, which I've never heard/said), I don't think others would even pick up on any of it. This is my first book by the author, but it won't be my last!

Sometimes a book resonates with you when you least expect it and is exactly what you needed at the time…that was this book for me! I would have never guessed that this messy, beautifully broken, second chance story would cause so many emotions. It is well balanced with some deep, complex, realistic situations and several laugh out loud moments.

I was thoroughly invested in Meli’s story, specifically her messy relationship with her family/family business and the unique relationship with Aaron. I loved watching her character grow throughout the book as she discovers it’s never too late to release the holds from generational traumas and family drama in order to make a better life for herself. All characters were well developed and the side characters were just as amazing as the main characters. I love great side characters, especially when they add more depth and layers to the story. I enjoyed and appreciated the addition of little details like the silly, reflective “bear-isms” and all the punny store names.

The audio book made for a great immersive experience. The narrator, Amanda Leigh Cobb, delivered a flawless performance from start to finish. Cobb did a great job giving each character their own unique voice. Her tone and pacing were spot on and helped bring the characters and story to life.

If a strategic marriage plan written by two strangers on a plane that ends in a spontaneous dare wedding in Vegas piques your interest in the slightest, and it definitely should, then this perfect summer read should be on your TBR!
