Meli is upset when she stumbles on her uncle's unbeknownst to her plans: he's selling their family furniture crafting business and arranged for her to work for the new owner. She's not going down without a fight. The biggest problem will be convincing her uncle to cede the business to her as planned but another is her ex-husband no one knows exists.
It doesn't take much to make me want a marriage of convenience - especially in a contemporary setting. Saddle that with a second chance and a heroine who's love-shy in the first place, and I'm sold. I admired how Kerry incorporated it all into a seamless romance and gave us a dual timeline that worked really well. Meli and Aaron have great chemistry and I loved their spur-of-the-moment interactions from how they met to how they re-meet-cuted (it's a word now, add it to Webster).
The narrator, Amanda Leigh Cobb, is a familiar voice (I first heard her voice with ACOTAR and can finally not associate her only with Feyra LOL). Her nuance and inflection suit the range of emotions so well and I binged this in one go.
Thank you to Booked with the Emilys and the author for the gifted copy and alc. All thoughts are my own.

loved this book. Having read all of Kerry Lonsdale’s books, I have several favorites, but this one is now at the top of my favorite KL books. I loved the two main characters, Meli and Aaron, and the chemistry, dialogue and banter between them. I didn’t care for her parents who practically abandoned her as a child leaving her uncle to raise her. And I was disappointed in her uncle, and her parents as well, for deciding to sell the craft furniture business behind Meli’s back. The business she was to inherit and take over after her uncle retired. This furniture business was her life, and she felt betrayed by her family’s lack of communication with her about this big decision knowing how much it meant to her. How could they do that to her and why? Fate would bring Aaron, who had family issues of his own, back into Meli’s life after she comes up with a plan that might help her keep the family business from being sold but she would need Aaron’s help. He agrees to help and their reunion develops into a great friendship. But does her plan work? And what will happen between Meli and Aaron after? Well, reader, you will have to get this book to find out exactly what happens.

This book is not only about romance but also about family, betrayal, forgiveness, and about trusting in love. Lots of emotion in this book and a few laughs as well. Kerry Lonsdale has written and beautiful story with a surprising and satisfying ending.

I received an early copy of the e-book as well as the audiobook version from the publisher via NetGalley. It was actually nice to be able to go back and forth between the e-book and audio version. The narrator did an exceptional job! If you’re a romantic, you’ll love this book. If you’re not, perhaps this book will make you one!

What a beautiful, restorative second chance romance filled to the brim with forgiveness, hope, fate and all the feelings and emotions that love brings. Meli and Aaron’s story is a reflection that a chance meeting can induce instant attraction, friendship and romance. But theirs is also a true representation that not every love story is happy and perfect. This romance has it all: family drama, instant attraction and connection, marriage of convenience, divorce, more than a second chance, and lots and lot of emotions.
I also had the opportunity to listen to chapters on audio. The voice of the sole female narrator, Amanda Leigh Cobb, was expressive and engaging, making the listening experience immersive and enjoyable. 4.5 stars

Meli has decided long ago that her one lasting love will her wood-crafting shop that she has with her family after she gave marriage a try during a Las Vegas getaway. When her uncle decides he is selling the shop to its competitor, Meli sees her promised inheritance slipping though her fingers. She will do anything to prevent this deal from going through…including getting into a marriage of convenience with her the competitor’s son Aaron, her ex husband.

I loved this story, all of it. It was emotional and entertaining at the same time, and kept me engaged in the whole time. I honestly did not want to stop reading it. The way Meli and Aaron met was great and the you could just see the connection/bond the two of them had. Meli and Aaron both had rough family past and the found family they find in each other and their friends are perfection.

A new to me author, I have already added other books of hers to my TBR list.

Listened to on @netgalley. Narrated by Amanda Leigh Cobb, who did a great job bringing these characters to life.

Thank you NetGalley and Kerry Lonsdale for providing me with the ALC.

Releasing July 8, 2025.

In Falling for You Again by Kerry Lonsdale, we meet Meli, a furniture artisan who’s far more committed to her family’s woodshop than she is to love. (Fair, considering her first marriage only lasted twenty-four hours in Vegas.) But when her inheritance is suddenly on the chopping block, she finds herself in a marriage of convenience—with her ex-husband, Aaron. Yep, that ex. 😅

This book plays with all the second-chance, fake dating, forced-proximity tropes, but what really stood out to me was the tug-of-war between family legacy and personal freedom. The characters made choices that weren’t always easy to watch—and that’s exactly what kept me turning pages. I never quite knew if I liked them… but I did want to understand them. And sometimes, that’s even better. 🥰

Thank you to Booked with the Emily's, Kerry Lonsdale, and Amazon Publishing for the gifted physical and audio copy in exchange for an honest review!

First off - I LOVE Amanda Leigh Cobb's narration so much, so this audiobook was a hit! Second, I really enjoyed this story. It was a very unique take on second chance romance. However, I personally feel this fits more into a literary fiction with a romance subplot because Meli's journey in life is more of a highlight than her romance with Aaron. I loved seeing her growth and determination to make the best of her situation. Then when you add in Aaron and how well they were able to bring their two worlds together even through the hurdles.

Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys lit fic with a romance subplot! Very enjoyable!

Short synopsis: Meli got married to a stranger Aaron on a whim in Vegas, and their marriage lasted 24 hours. Now, attempting to save the family business she marries Aaron (the son of the competition) to help both their causes.

My thoughts: I devoured this book via audio, and absolutely loved the narration! This book had so much emotion, grief, and humor. I can’t wait to pick up another book by this author!

I adored the chemistry between Meli and Aaron, and their growth as a couple as they really got to know each other during their second marriage. Their chemistry and banter was top notch!

Their families and history were both so complicated but I loved the path of self discovery the characters went on.

Read if you love:
* Complicated family relationships
* Marriage of convenience
* Second chance marriage
* Forced proximity
* Unique occupations

Thanks to Kerry Lonsdale, Booked With The Emilys, and Amazon Publishing, and Brillance Audio for a gifted copy of Falling for You Again!

I really loved this book from the Meet Cute until the end. I completely devoured the book and didn’t want it to end. I loved Meli and Aaron especially their chemistry together.

There were a couple of obstacles between Meli and Aaron that didn’t seem necessary because there were plenty of other things happening to add conflict to the story…and that was my only complaint but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story!

I listened to the audio. I thought the narrator Amanda Leigh Cobb did a fantastic job bringing the story alive. Would definitely recommend the audio!

This my first Kerry Lonsdale book and i really enjoyed this story. Now I need to read her backlist.

Meli has had an interesting life…her parents and uncle betray her in a way that caused her to loose her trust with them. It’s not what it seems but it takes a journey of anger, self reflection, and revelation of secrets for healing to begin.

Aaron is a good person, wants to help Meli. A spur decision changes their lives forever as the two become intertwined and never lose their love for one another. However, misunderstandings, life and manipulating parents get in the way. His mom is a real treat.

They go through many ups and downs, helping one another face fears of the future, dealing with stress and anxiety and wondering if they are enough for one another.

Kerry deals with some tough topics and brings real situations to life with these characters. A beautiful love story filled with second chances, understanding and ultimately love…love always wins.

Amanda Leigh Cobb delivered a beautiful performance. She gave the characters perfect personality, emotion and voice. She’s a new to me narrator and I enjoyed her storytelling.

Thank you NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing

Kerry Lonsdale’s ‘Falling for You Again’ is a heartwarming romantic novel about Meli and Aaron. They keep getting second chances at love, but Meli is determined to save her family’s shop. When she meets Aaron, the son of her rival, she’s shocked to discover he’s her ex-husband from a brief but intense fling. It’s not my usual read, but it was still cute.

Amanda Leigh Cobb narrates the audiobook and does an excellent job as always.

I should start by saying I don’t often listen to audio books. But, Kerry Lonsdale is an auto-buy author for me - I wanted to give it a try.

Like few other authors, if she wrote the dictionary - I would buy it. Falling for You Again, shows exactly why she is one of my absolute favorite authors. Her craft of writing has only gotten better over time and FfYA has it all for readers.
Meet Cute - check!
Family Drama - Double check!!

I mean, the way we meet Meli and Aaron - from the get go will have you rooting for them to somehow, someway find their way back to each other. And then when they do - swoon! But it isn’t all roses. They face challenges, and work through them. But all throughout, Kerry will have you cheering them on. And the family drama behind the main characters…. Wow!

I can go on and on about just how much I loved their story, how much I never wanted it to end - but I think you get the point. I LOVED this novel and I would give it 10 stars if able.
Go out, and buy FfYA today - then go back and read every Kerry Lonsdale book you haven’t. You’ll thank me!

The audio version was very well done!

Thank you to Kerry and the publishers for this ARC - all opinions are absolutely my own!

More than ten novels and author Kerry Lonsdale is still doing it: writing top-notch, addictive fiction that is unique, engrossing and leaves you perfectly satisfied. After reading all her previous novels I know I will always fall in love with her characters, but there is just enough time in between her books that I am each time surprised – almost astonished – at how quickly it happens. The warmth, the tenderness, the honest yearning goes straight to my heart. I am all in with the story, the characters that you know in your heart must be together.

Take Aaron and Meli. It’s been five years since their 24-hour marriage, but they both still remember everything about each other, everything they said, everything they did, every little detail. And not just memories of the past, but memories they have revisited over and over; their blink-of-an-eye time together is as fresh in their minds as if it was yesterday. Which is why when Meli finds herself in trouble and reaches out to Aaron for help, he doesn’t hesitate. He remembers their list of qualities one would want if relationships were real, if love was possible in this world; that list they wrote together became their marriage vows: I promise to sing your favorite songs with you, read books with you, and only say ‘I love you’ when I mean it. I’ll support your passions, whatever they are. I promise to stand behind you, stand up for you, and stand up to you. I’ll always have faith in you.

When Meli and Aaron met five years ago, Meli had literally just left her fiancé at the altar. Aaron was in a lackluster relationship set up and approved by his parents. He has past trauma that he steadfastly refuses to reveal and is burdened with guilt. Meli has been told by her uncle her entire life that love isn’t real, you can’t have everything, relationships and careers don’t mix. There is no such thing as a soulmate. So with those locks around their hearts they couldn’t let themselves believe their magical time together was real and they had a future. There could be no future, it was a wonderful 24 hours and now it’s time to get back to the real world. But the real world doesn’t look nearly as good as those memories, not even five years later with career success for each of them.

Their solution to Meli’s problem, and a way for Aaron to change his life situation, is a fake marriage with a time limit. No feelings, no long-term, they’ve already been married and divorced once, how hard can this be? That’s the question, isn’t it, because “seems like yesterday” really does seem like yesterday. The magic is still there.

Falling for You Again is amazing. Heartbreaking, hopeful, sweet, romantic, funny and tenderly sexy with some very surprising twists. Author Lonsdale has a masterful skill for always coming up with the most interesting, unusual premises for her books. Unexpected but just right. Lonsdale also has a knack for showing us people that allow themselves to be treated badly over and over by those they should feel safe with, accept such cruel and harsh treatment because they feel they deserve it, they’ve done something to warrant punishment, they’re unworthy of anything better. Until . . . they meet someone who might be – dare I say it? – their soulmate.

I was fortunate enough to receive both advance reading and advance listening copies of Falling for You Again. The words are meant to be read again and again and listening takes the story to another level. Narrator Amanda Leigh Cobb does an outstanding job. I loved this book just as I have loved everything this favorite author writes. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this book. Kerry has a way of writing stories that are both fun and heartfelt, and this one is no exception.
Meli and Aaron’s story is full of chemistry, chaos, and charm. I loved the characters, the writing is beautiful, and it had the perfect amount of emotion.
Warm, funny, and impossible to put down; I never wanted it to end. Kerry remains one of my favorite authors for a reason.

My heart was on an emotional rollercoaster ride while reading this - I loved it.

I was rooting for Meli and Aaron the whole time. Their story went from a chance meeting, a whirlwind Vegas marriage (lasting roughly 24 hours), to being rival competitors, to a marriage of convenience, to a swoony second-chance romance! It was not without some major bumps along the way, though.

Both Meli and Aaron are dealing with complicated and messy family issues, which makes things difficult between the two of them. These issues create tension and obstacles in their relationship. As they work through things, they realize they are stronger together, and they find refuge in each other.

Not only did I enjoy Meli and Aaron, but I loved how Kerry incorporated elements of a family business legacy, artisanal woodworking, family drama, and humor to complement their complex journey to love. The story was so fun and enjoyable, yet it also had emotional depth.

🎧 Pairing the audiobook with my reading was a treat. Amanda Leigh Cobb's narration effectively highlighted the characters’ personalities and emotions.

Family estrangement, drama, second chance romance, best gal pals, business deals—Falling for You Again pretty much has it all. And Kerry Lonsdale has done it again. She has created a world and group of characters that I fell in love with. I enjoy her stories so much and immerse myself completely when I start one of her novels.

Meli runs on the day of her wedding and runs right into an unexpected, impromptu wedding. The newlyweds come up with a list of rules and attributes that they would want in any future relationship. But is it possible to find someone as perfect as they think they need?

Right after I read the book, I listened to the audiobook. Even though I knew what was coming, it still was a wonderful story and I savored every minute of it. The narrator does an amazing job, her voice was so easy to listen to.

Falling for You Again is a fun, romantic tale of finding love again, after having it the first time. I love this story so much. I highly recommend Falling for You Again. This is the perfect summer read for everyone!

Meli is a furniture maker who works for her uncle. When her uncle is selling shop, she goes to an old friend, Aaron, for help. They agree to a marriage of convenience that will benefit them both. This is a story about second chances at love. The two MCs have to deal with family drama that has caused them quite a bit of pain, but together, they find happiness and healing. This is a great romance read that is full of drama and heartbreak, but also tender, heartfelt moments.
