Visually, every single part of this book was treated with such love, creativity, and care, that it speaks VOLUMES alone before even diving into the text or subject matter. The end page art is a captivating bubblegum pink littered with the cutest penguins you’ve ever seen. The title page is immediately fun, inclusive, and whimsical, with an artsy black man, with yellow plaid printed pants and blue glasses looking into a toilet full of flowers. The whimsy is SEEPING out of every page of this book. The font choice is gorgeous, and the entire work is browsable and personal. It opens with illustrations of both the author and the illustrator, including an on theme question to satiate young readers curiosity, and introduce them to this world without even having gotten into it yet. This book reminds and encourages readers that there are NO silly questions, unless the words in them are total gibberish and don’t make sense. I can’t recommend buying this one for young ones enough, as it’s true art and will keep them captivated and exploring for hours! This read is curious, encouraging, and expertly designed. Each page inspires learners to pick up a NEW book and dive deeper into each subject that may interest them.

My daughter is loving this book. It has so many random questions and is making us giggle and ask even more thought provoking questions. We love it!

I love the curiosity that children have and hate how it starts to die as they take on more responsibility in school. One of my goals as a school librarian is to ignite their curiosity so that it will carry through all of elementary school and hopefully beyond!
It is easy for adults to forget how information is gained throughout childhood. A lot of these are questions children have asked me. I have quite a few students who love any book that is a collection of facts in easily digestible portions.
Add in humorous and engaging illustrations, this book is a slam dunk for the curious minds!
I recommend adding this to elementary school libraries, but I also think that public library collections would benefit from this book. Additionally, this is the perfect gift for the curious kiddos in your life.
Thank you to Net Galley and Nosy Crow for the ARC. All opinions are my own and are influenced by my work with children.
